* HarmlessVillain: {{Downplayed}}. Marinette believes that if she were the new Ladybug, she would have already made the Wish and destroyed the world. However, Marinette views her initial schtick of tall tales and lies to be so insignificant compared to the akumas that she stopped caring after a few weeks.
* ItsAllAboutMe: According to Marinette, Lila is so selfish that if she had the Earrings, she would have already stolen the Ring from Chat Noir and either made a Wish of her own or sold the Miraculouses to Hawkmoth. As far as she's concerned, the fact that the world still exists is proof-positive that Lila doesn't have the Earrings or access to the Ring.
* VillainousVirtues: Marinette notes that Lila is clever and willing to work hard for what she wants, like when she exercised and dieted extensively in order to be a model.

* LooseLips: Even without the risk of getting akumatized, Nino wasn't very good at keeping secrets. Such as when he invited everyone he could find to join his 'secret society' against Hawkmoth, including Gabriel Agreste.
* StartingANewLife: His family moved him out of Paris so he could reinvent himself with people who didn't associate him with the widely despised Alya.

* AintTooProudToBeg: Frantically pleads with Luka and Marinette to help him contact the old Ladybug, admitting that he's ''desperate'' to figure out how to deal with the new one before he invokes her wrath.
* BadLiar: Tries to convince Luka and Marinette that he only wants to know who the original Ladybug was so he can thank her for her service and make sure retirement is treating her well. Even before they [[PullingTheThread pull the thread]], he's already babbled his way into exposing his ''true'' intentions.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: He wanted a bribable Ladybug, and got one. The problem is, other people can bribe her too, so Bourgeois has to keep coming up with more and more money to keep her on his side. The other problem is, he's acutely aware that bad things could happen if he stops paying up.
* EntitledBastard: Wants to find the original Ladybug and have her replace the new one so they can return to the comfortable old status quo, while ignoring how ''un''comfortable that was for their old heroine.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: Just as selfish and entitled as his daughter; perhaps the biggest difference is that he actually ''has'' the power that she regularly abused by invoking his name.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: Along with [[ScrewTheRulesIHaveConnections connections]] that he frequently uses to 'grease the wheels'. Attempts to use these to convince Luka and/or Marinette to point him towards the original Ladybug.
* SkewedPriorities: Considered his various vanity projects and spoiling his daughter rotten to be ''infinitely'' more important than things like taking care of his constituents' concerns or putting any measures in place to help manage the problems caused by Hawkmoth and his akumas.

A record producer with a penchant towards ripping off rivals.

* BadBoss: Mistreated his employees; the one who ultimately helped bring him down was akumatized into Soundstealer after Roth withheld at least two months' worth of wages for seemingly no other reason than because he ''could''.
* ConvictedByPublicOpinion: After he decided to no longer pay off Ladybug, she continued to protect him during an akuma attack... but then publicly stated that he didn't support her. The outraged public began to hate him, his musicians canceled their contracts, his business collapsed, and his life was completely destroyed.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Not wanting to pay into the new Ladybug's ProtectionRacket was understandable. His refusal to pay his own workers, less so. Both of these factors contributed to his downfall, as Ladybug took advantage of the latter to make a show of saving him right before casually remarking on his lack of support for her.
* StartingANewLife: According to the Mayor, rumor has it that he and his son were forced to spend most of their family's remaining fortune crafting new identities for themselves so they could do this.

A reclusive fashion designer with some very dark secrets.

* BodyHorror: Was falling apart so badly by the time of his death that his shirt sleeve would have collapsed his arm if the funeral directors didn't put cork bark into it.
* TheFunInFuneral: Not only was his funeral crashed by Gigantitan, who shattered his coffin and left his body soaking in the mud while Ladybug sparred against the akumatized infant, his corpse was later possessed by a sentimonster to become first of the 'new wave' of akuma.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Gabriel exploited countless victims' [[MomentOfWeakness moments of weakness]] to akumatize them, and did not care about any of the pain, suffering and loss he inflicted during his reign as Hawkmoth. Not only did this eventually cost him his life, he suffered several indignities in death much like the ones he forced upon others.
* PosthumousCharacter: The fourth chapter indicates that he died about halfway between Ladybug's retirement and the present day.

Adrien's bodyguard, and the only remaining adult in his house after Gabriel and Nathalie meet their fates. He's trying to care for Adrien but is clearly out of his depth.

* RealMenCook: He's a muscular bodyguard who is trying to take care of Adrien's meals, though with mixed success.

* ConspiracyTheorist: He believes ridiculous lies about the original Ladybug because he trusts trolls on the Internet, and helps spread that MaliciousSlander as [=LadybugSkeptic9000=].
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: {{Downplayed}}; Marinette makes clear that while she's concerned about Mr. Kubdel's disappearance, she's not particularly bothered by the fact that Jalil vanished at the same time.

A news reporter who seems to have taken over the city's 'Ladybug beat' after the Ladyblog went down in flames.

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Nadja wanted to hound the heroes for details about their personal lives, and [[NeverMyFault blamed Ladybug]] for rejecting her prying, leading line of questioning. Now she has a Ladybug who gladly gossips about herself every single day, at the cost of her reputation.
* EntitledBitch: Insists that the original Ladybug would have to help her simply because "she's a hero", despite how much she disrespected her before.
* LaserGuidedKarma: When she interviewed Marinette, all she cared about was ratings, to the point where she asked invasive and offensive questions that drove Marinette away. The new Ladybug, on the other hand, is great for ratings... but only by virtue of showing off a string of hot boyfriends and exploiting her fans' fanatical devotion to her. Nadja can't do any real news reports on the new Ladybug for fear of the new hero going to some other station and taking her ratings with her, and she can't get a job elsewhere because nobody else trusts her to do real news anymore, so she's forced to spend every day nodding along with Ladybug's vacuous gossip and shilling her products while the real stories she knows go untold.
* NotHelpingYourCase: When called out on how she insulted the original Ladybug, Nadja tries to handwave that away before adding that she ''deserved'' to be badmouthed and lose support. Note that she's saying all of this while still insisting that the old Ladybug has to come back and help her because "she's a hero".
* {{Paparazzi}}: Conducted herself like one while dealing with the original Ladybug, acting entitled to 'juicy details' about her private life. She also contributed to the media voices criticizing her, picking apart every mistake she made.
* PropagandaMachine: Has unwillingly become part of the new Ladybug's propaganda machine, as her superiors don't want to risk losing favor.

Gabriel's assistant, companion, and partner in crime. She sacrificed her health helping Gabriel to pursue his dream, but that was only the beginning of her losses.

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: She flipped out when Bourgeois shut down her previous exhibit on the miraculous heroes. Now she gets to run such an exhibit like she said she wanted, but thanks to the new Ladybug, she has no actual control over it.
* [[NiceGuy Nice Girl]]: Luka notes that it's wrong for Marinette to scare her or even be mad at her over her one akumatization, which was done for a sympathetic reason and which doesn't change her fundamentally decent nature.

* JurisdictionFriction: According to Adrien, the Guardians cannot extradite the new Ladybug because they don't have enough evidence on her, so they just want Adrien to fight her and take her miraculous.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: According to Adrien, Su-Han wants him to fight Ladybug, and there's no sign Su-Han wishes to participate in the battle himself.

* EngineeredHeroics: {{Downplayed}}. According to Alya, her fight with Music Band-It involved her faking its difficulty.

* NotYourProblem: Bourgeois says that Chat Noir doesn't seem to care about the new Ladybug's grifting, though he's not sure why.

** While Marinette doesn't really have much sympathy or understanding about [[MoreThanMindControl how powerful akumatization can really be]] she is right that numerous people have been akumatized over petty and trivial matters. Meanwhile she wasn't allowed to express even the slightest bit of negativity over the struggles in her life.
** She's shown to be perfectly right that most of Paris were [[UngratefulBastard ungrateful]], [[EntitledBastard entitled]] and [[DudeWheresMyRespect disrespectful]] to her during her time as Ladybug. Nadja proves this point as she spent her first interview with the new Ladybug badmouthing the old one, tries to claim she was wrong to do so only to go on about how losing the miraculouses meant that the old Ladybug ''deserved'' to lose support, all the while she firmly believes that the old Ladybug should return to help stop the new one on the grounds that she's a "hero" and heroes have to help no matter what they have to put up with.
** Marinette is incredibly petty and unwilling to help Alya, who's being unfairly persecuted due to the new Ladybug, but she's not wrong about on a few points when she lays this out to her former friend; Alya did expose her SecretIdentity after only a couple weeks to try and smooth things over with Nino while Marinette kept her life as Ladybug an absolute secret for over a year and a half until she couldn't take it anymore and it was a genuine danger for Alya to do so.
** Badmouthing Nino for being akumatized wasn't kind in the least but she is right about his poor emotional control in those instances.
** Refusing to help Alya while her life is falling apart was definitely a KickTheDog moment but Marinette is right that unfair things happen to people all the time and she can't always be expected to fight every injustice she encounters. Not to mention this is exactly the kind of problem, her being expected to to step up and help out while other people cause trouble, that she gave up being Ladybug to get away from.

* EveryoneHasStandards: He is a very supporting boyfriend, but he still feels a little disturbed at [[TookALevelInJerkass the glee Marinette occasionally barely conceals about the situation]]. He is [[spoiler:also utterly horrified at discovering how many prior Ladybug holders were betrayed and killed.]]
