* HiddenVillain: What seems to be Trey's favorite strategy, as he last season he pretended to be a cool kid. This season he pretends to be a mope, while coming up with a plan to win the season...

* NotSoDifferent: Chelsey and Flora. Both are fan favorite characters from their respective seasons, brunette females, have gained additional focus and screen time this season and are the only people to trust [[ObviouslyEvil Trey]].
* OddFriendship: With Wolfgang. He's a loner and she's obsessed with popularity, but they end up talking a lot.

* SpotlightStealingSquad: Thanks to her entertaining interactions with lots of other characters and the fact she's one of the only contestants who strategizes, she's pretty much this.
* StatuesqueStunner: Chelsey is the tallest character in the cast, with only Layla and Wolfgang rivaling her.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Despite hating Elena, is forced to work with her to eliminate Kavren.

* PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy: Likes to think he is this.
* MyGreatestSecondChance: Subverted - he's a pretty early out, but competes in a similar amount of episodes to how many he did in School.

* AlphaBitch: Duels with Chelsey for this role on the Ralphcakes, although Chelsey is [[LovableAlphaBitch more likable]] while Elena has absolutely no positive qualities.

* ButtMonkey: The main one of the story, at least the pre-merge.

* BreakoutCharacter: After accumulating a huge fanbase during Tokyo despite being an one-note early boot, she's one of the main protagonists this time around.

* {{Foil}}: Could be seen as one to Gail: Both were 'boring girls' from Tokyo who became {{Ensemble Darkhorse}}s and gained fans, but while Flora made it late pre-merge and is kind, Gail was eliminated early pre-merge and comes back crazy.

* IJustWantToBeSpecial: Flora wants to be seen as cool by the other contestants and tries lying to fool them - it doesn't work.

* NotSoDifferent: Chelsey and Flora. Both are fan favorite characters from their respective seasons, brunette females, have gained additional focus and screen time this season and are the only people to trust [[ObviouslyEvil Trey]].
* OddFriendship: With Wolfgang. Wolfgang is a jerk while Flora is sweet and kind, but the two manage to get along just fine.
* ThePollyanna: Flora seems to always be happy and cheerful no matter what, even when she's being sabotaged by Trey.

* TheRival: To Gail - when Gail appears again for a challenge, she makes it her mission to defeat Flora.

* ACupAngst: Arthur implies she has this.

* FlatCharacter: She's one of the 'boring girls' returning, and the only who not to make it to the merge, being forgettable as her first time on the show.

One of the ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle'' newbies, who finished in 4th place. He was famous for idolizing Alejandro from ''WesternAnimation/TotalDramaWorldTour'', and attempting to be like him in every way possible including being villainous, wooing women (and failing miserably), and [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers having conversations with his abs]].

* AmbiguouslyBi: Although he flirts with a majority of the female contestants, sometimes his love for Alejandro comes off as a little more than just idolizing. In addition, after winning a challenge, he kisses Alex on the cheek.

* GratuitousSpanish: Whenever he attempts to speak Spanish, it's this.
* HandsomeLech: While he was shrimpy and unappealing in Tiki Jungle, Nic has gone through puberty and is now conventionally attractive - but nobody cares, as his personality is the exact same.

* StalkerWithACrush: Towards many of the girls competing as well as Alejandro. His pre-season bio states that he traveled 10 hours to Canada to attend a meet-and-greet hosted by Alejandro, but [[NoodleIncident was forcibly removed by security guards]].

Ori is the only character in the story created by a user other than the author - the winner of a contest the author held. The 9th-placer of Total Drama Revolution, Ori was known for having violent mood swings and [[AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents a dorky father]]. He has returned, and now has a disturbing obsession with Devin.

* StraightGay: According to WordOfGay, Ori is gay, and his obsession with Devin is mostly due to being insecure with himself and also having a crush on him. He doesn't exhibit any other stereotypically camp mannerisms.

* BigEater: He seems to always be hungry, which comes back to bite him when he finds Wolfgang's German truffles.

* {{Flanderization}}: Puck was a versatile comic relief character in Tokyo, but come this season, he's mostly just an obsessive devotee to Wolfgang. Justified, as he's Wolfgang's SatelliteCharacter.

* MommasBoy: He occasionally brings up his mom, such as describing how she told him his "Pineapple Breeze" deodorant smelled like the men's locker room, and seems to take her advice to heart.

* SpotlightStealingSquad: Due to his extremely entertaining interactions with Wolfgang. He's kicked off at the end of the pre-merge, though.

* SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome: While not that sudden, Puck does go from being in the final five in Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo to out in the late premerge.

* [[DefrostingIceQueen Defrosting Ice King]]: A few specific characters have been able to bring this side of Wolfgang out, and it seems to be his main plot of the story. After he finds romance with [[BirdsOfAFeather Helga]] and friendships with [[NiceGirl Flora]] and [[LovableAlphaBitch Chelsey]], he starts to become gradually softer, despite not wanting to admit it, and his newly created bonds eventually result in him being crowned the winner.

* MaliciousMisnaming: To Trey. His various nicknames include "Santa", "Father Christmas", and [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers "Matt,"]] solely to get Trey angry.

* CainAndAbel: The Cain to his younger brother Keenan's Abel. While Keenan is actually concerned about Trey and a nice guy, Trey badmouths Keenan in the confessional just the next day.

* MyGreatestSecondChance: Trey made it all the way to the final four this season, in contrast to the final seven in Tiki Jungle. He's also the last standing contestant from Tiki Jungle.
* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: He tries to claim he's this multiple times, but nobody really believes him.

* TheQuietOne: Rarely speaks, and ends all of his sentences with "..."s. Except in confessionals...

* SanitySlippage: After his blowup at Chelsey, Trey becomes more and more unhinged, eventually abandoning his previous plan to vote out Chelsey and targeting Flora, his closest ally, just to get more power.

* AmbiguouslyBi: He's in a very devoted relationship with Casey, a girl, but sometimes his behavior towards Wolfgang seems to be a tad more than platonic.

The 12th-placer of Total Drama Revolution. Trick was a chill skater dude who found true love in [[NerdsAreSexy Cammy]], another contestant on his season, and the two ended up becoming an obnoxious couple. Trick returned without Cammy to redeem himself and prove that he isn't a bad guy.

A character from the very first season, Total Drama School, and the only School alum in the story to not return to ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTikiJungle''. Known for being the second-in-command to resident AlphaBitch Amanda, and basically being a doormat. Returned so she could be more independent.

* FieryRedhead: Subverted for the most part, as Veronica isn't extremely passionate, though she does get annoyed with a lot of the people around her.
* FlatCharacter: Veronica was this in School, and is known to be one of the three 'boring girls.' In the story however she's actually very interesting and developed.
* SiblingRivalry: Implied with how she interacts with her sister Marisa, who still thinks of Veronica as boring.

** Wolfgang's siblings, Kyle and Whitney, are also based on wolf villagers in VideoGame/AnimalCrossing.
* SiblingRivalry: Wolfgang, Chelsey, and Trey don't seem to have great relationships with their siblings - Kyle, Allison, and Keenan.

Veteran from Total Drama School and Total Drama: Tiki Jungle, placing 4th and 14th respectively. Known for really not doing much, being extremely lazy, having a very strange relationship with resident GenkiGirl Sharissa, and somehow getting to the final four.

* SpotlightStealingSquad: Arthur acquires an absurd amount of focus for the first few chapters, the screentime is later balanced out but he's still the main comic relief character of the season.

One of the ''three'' main [[AlphaBitch Alpha Bitches]] of the cast, and a Total Drama Revolution veteran. Didn't do much other than watch [[BlandNameProduct Nebraska Shore]] and act vaguely bitchy, but made it to the final five and was a ''huge'' EnsembleDarkhorse.

Chrissy is the third placer of Total Drama: Tiki Jungle. A pretty gruff person, Chrissy is quite a {{Tomboy}} and doesn't take any crap from anyone, especially [[AbhorrentAdmirer Nic]]. She was known for her strong bond with Julia, but has changed her habits quite a bit since the season ended, becoming a hipster.

A contestant from Total Drama School. Devin is a white kid who was formerly nerdy, but discovered street lingo and now talks in unintelligible slang and dreams of being a rapper. Was eliminated early in School, but returned and was eliminated shortly afterward. He returned for Total Drama: Tiki Jungle, and was the first one out at the merge, because [[HeKnowsTooMuch he knew too much]].

* MyGreatestSecondChance: Subverted, is a pretty early out, but competes in a similar amount of episodes to how many he did in School.

* StockUnderwear: Of the "boxers with polka-dots" kind.
* TheUnintelligible: His speech is sometimes pretty hard to decipher.

Veteran of Total Drama: Tiki Jungle, who developed some MarySue-like traits very early in the story, then TookALevelInJerkass (nobody knows why or how, it's hinted that this is how she's always been) and was eliminated quite abruptly. Returns with a much more... abrasive personality.

The purposely boring girl from ''Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo'', who somehow became a huge EnsembleDarkhorse despite being deliberately OutOfFocus and voted off late pre-merge. She is returning in hopes of becoming less of a FlatCharacter.
* BadassAdorable: Flora has won four immunity challenges so far, tying Julia's record from Total Drama: Tiki Jungle.

* IJustWantToBeSpecial: Flora wants to be seen as cool by the other contestants and tries lying to fool them; it doesn't work.
* ManChild: Flora displays some child like tendencies, such as still playing with her 'My Petite Equestrian Rainbow Castle playset'.

Competed in Total Drama School and was a quite early out, not showing much of a personality other than reading books, and returned for Total Drama: Tiki Jungle with a sarcastic quip about pretty much everything. Still does absolutely nothing but read books and say smart-alecky things.

One of the Total Drama: Tiki Jungle newbies, who was famous for idolizing Alejandro from WesternAnimation/TotalDramaWorldTour, attempting to be like him in every way possible including being villainous and wooing women (and failing miserably), and having conversations with his abs.

* HarmlessVillain: During his time in the game, Nic failed to do one thing that was the least bit 'evil'.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Nic never actually succeeds at any of his plotting, but boasts a strangely high amount of determination.

* StraightGay: According to WordOfGod, Ori is gay, and his obsession with Devin is mostly due to being insecure with himself and also having a crush on him. He doesn't exhibit any other stereotypically camp mannerisms.

The 5th-placer of Fanfic/TotalDramaTokyo, known for his affinity for cheesy water/ice-related puns, his delusional "friendship" with Wolfgang, his volatile relationship with [[{{Tsundere}} Casey]], his belief that he's half-penguin, and his generally weird antics.

* CainAndAbel: The Cain to his younger brother Keenan's Abel. While Keenan is actually considerate about Trey and a nice guy, Trey badmouths Keenan in the confessional just the next day.

* ObviouslyEvil: At a certain point, it becomes incredibly apparent that Trey hasn't changed at all, and [[ThePollyanna Flora]] is the only one who doesn't realize this.

* StopHavingFunGuys: In-universe, Trick is focused on winning the game, and thinks the other's comedic actions are stupid.

* FlatCharacter: Veronica was this in School, and is known to be one of the 'boring girls'. In the story however she's actually very interesting and developed.

The winner of TotalDramaTokyo, notable for having a lonely old butler named Charles who followed her around and catered to her every request, and her generally cantankerous behavior towards almost everyone else. She has returned so she could win more money due to giving all of her prize money to Charles.

The 9th-placer of TotalDramaTokyo, who was a likable and nerdy contestant obsessed with [[TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons Luncheons and Laggins]]. His plots with various girls took up a lot of the pre-merge, and he returned to redeem himself after being embarrassed in front of his crushes numerous times.

The 20th-placer of TotalDramaTokyo, who was known for being grumpy, antisocial, extremely violent (especially towards his arch-nemesis Puck), quiet, and oddly very fashionable, and being a prime case of WeHardlyKnewYe in the series.

* TheVoiceless: Subverted - while he was this in the last season, he now talks just as much as any other character, with no reason as to why, similar to Justin in TotalDramaIsland.

* BeautyIsBad: Trick is said to be one of the more attractive male contestants, specifically by Elena; he's also one of the biggest liars and least liked contestants.

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: While not to violent, Trick's exit is basically this.

Layla's elderly butler. After receiving the $1,000,000 prize from Layla, he retires to Tokyo to relive his days as a part-time heartbreaker/full-time motorcyclist, though Layla can't seem to fully let him go...
* BadassGrandpa: Charles is known to be extremely buff, causing all of Layla's physical punishments for him to be merely scoffed at.
* BattleButler: Despite his stuffy day job, Charles is quite powerful.
* CoolOldGuy: One of the only genuinely nice characters in the whole show, and despite Layla more often than not treating him like dirt, he always respects her.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Talks in the exact way you'd expect an elderly, high-class butler to talk.
* SharpDressedMan: Always wears a tuxedo.
* TheBusCameBack: After Layla gives him the prize money, he disappears to Tokyo and does not show up in this story until a surprise appearance for the family visit and [[BackForTheFinale finale]].

* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Speaks almost entirely in long, rambling paragraphs containing obscure vocabulary. Somehow, to an even further extent than Charles.
