!House Tarron

[[folder:As a whole]]
* BrotherSisterTeam: Aja and Krel are siblings, and are noted to work well together.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Aja had a habit of neglecting her royal duties, unwilling to face the responsibility, and was known to be quite rash. Krel, despite his fears of the same duties, would fulfill them when needed and is more level-headed than his sister.
* {{Irony}}: When the series begins, Krel hates Earth and is eager to get back to Akiridion-5, while Aja is running away from responsibilities and eager to experience life as a normal person. [[spoiler:By the end of the series, Krel has decided to stay on Earth as he considers it his new home, while Aja goes back to Akiridion-5 to serve as queen.]]
* NiceMeanAndInbetween: Aja is the Nice, Varvatos Vex is the Mean, and Krel is the In-Between.
* RedOniBlueOni: Aja is the more outgoing red oni and makes an effort to not just adapt but participate in life on Earth, while Krel is the blue oni who adapts only grudgingly, and prefers to spend time with his sister over PunyEarthlings.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: Krel's the level-headed, somewhat grumpy Savvy Guy; Aja is the rash, excitable Energetic Girl.
* StrongGirlSmartGuy: Aja is a warrior-in-training, while Krel is a tech wiz-kid.

!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' | ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow'' | ''WesternAnimation/TrollhuntersRiseOfTheTitans''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TatianaMaslany

A teenage alien princess disguised as a human girl who appears in Season 3 of ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' and is one of the main protagonists along with her brother in ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''.
----
* ActionGirl: She's got some impressive combat skills, especially after being trained by Vex.
* AngelicAliens: Steve refers to her as a "ninja-kicking angel", and still sees her as beautiful even after seeing her true form for the first time.
* BigSisterInstinct: Aja is older than Krel and will kick anyone's ass if they threaten him in any way.
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler:She decides to return to Akiridion-5 as acting queen, as her parents died and her brother decided to stay on Earth.]]
* {{Catchphrase}}: "Lively."
* CharacterDevelopment: At the series' start, all Aja wanted to do was run away from any kind of responsibility and be normal. However, as she grows in skill, patience, and maturity throughout the series, she also comes to realize ''why'' her responsibilities matter. And at the series finale, [[spoiler:she decides to leave Earth in order to rule Akiridion-5]].
* CharacterWitness: Aja saved Izita's daughter from falling rubble during the coup, leading the older woman to become a member of the rebellion to restore the Tarrons to the Akiridion throne.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: To Jim from ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}''. Jim is a responsible, only child, that always steps up to the occasion, whereas Aja is much more rebellious and emotional than he ever was. Jim wanted something amazing to happen in his, but Aja just wanted to be normal.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: She feels unfulfilled as a princess and has spent most of her life trying to find something else. Eventually, she realizes that her calling is on the battlefield.
* HomeworldEvacuation: After the Arcane Order opens the Genesis Seals and unleashes the Titans, Aja says that Earth needs to be evacuated to Akiridion-5 or another planet due to Jim's lack of self-worth, deciding that she'll go through with his plan to stop the Titans until the ships arrive. Unfortunately, the evacuation would've been AllForNothing because the Arcane Order isn't just out to RestartTheWorld, they're plotting to [[OmnicidalManiac destroy the universe first]], meaning not even Akiridion-5 would be safe.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Aja wishes she could just be a normal person on her own planet and sees going to Earth as a chance to do that, but the fact she has to hide who she really is while fighting bounty hunters leaves her frustrated that no matter where she is she can't be normal.
* InterspeciesRomance: She gets into one with Steve Palchuk, with her being Akiridion and Steve being human.
* KickChick: {{Zig|ZaggingTrope}}-Zagged. Among other fighting styles, Aja also gives off strong kicks which can send her opponents flying. She's especially a fan of face-kicking, and in "Flying the Coop" she learns how to do a toe kick, using one to knock a bigger bounty hunter many feet across her home.
* LongDistanceRelationship: [[spoiler:Having returned to her home planet, she and Steve decide to try a really long-distance relationship.]]
* MyGreatestFailure: She's wracked with guilt over delaying her parents' escape from Morando's attack, leading to them being forced into their cores.
* NatureLover: Unlike Vex and Krel, Aja loves the organic nature of everything she comes across. She especially loves trees.
* NiceGirl: A sweet, friendly, good-natured girl who cares deeply about her planet and the people she loves.
* PutOnABus: Unlike Krel, Aja is completely absent in ''Wizards'' as she's back on Akiridion-5, but she is mentioned by her boyfriend, Steve, when he sends her a text before the Battle of Killahead begins. It's unclear if she ever got the text.
* RebelliousPrincess: She spent her whole childhood trying to get out of being a princess, and was actually in the middle of her latest escape attempt when Morando's attack came.
* RedIsHeroic: Aja is this in human form, which gives her a red button-up shirt.
* RightfulQueenReturns: [[spoiler:Once Morando is defeated, Aja accepts the Akiridion throne.]]
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Inverted. The fact that she doesn't resemble her brother at all is a clue that her human form is just a ruse. Played straight in their true forms, where they could easily be mistaken for HalfIdenticalTwins.
* TheBusCameBack: After her absence in ''Wizards'', Aja returns in ''Rise of the Titans''.
* TheHighQueen: By the time of ''Rise of the Titans'', Aja is already this a year after ''3Below''.
* UnaffectedBySpice: Being an alien allows her to eat the Diablo Maximus Breakfast Burrito without flinching, which astonishes Toby, who can eat it but had to build up a tolerance for spicy food to be able to enjoy it.
* UptownGirl: Being a princess, Aja counts as this for Steve.

!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' | ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow'' | ''WesternAnimation/Wizards2020'' | ''WesternAnimation/TrollhuntersRiseOfTheTitans''
-> '''Voiced by:''' Creator/DiegoLuna

A teenage alien prince disguised as a human boy who appears in Season 3 of ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' and is one of the main protagonists along with his sister in ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''.
----
* AlienArtsAreAppreciated: Subverted, much to his chagrin. He uses some remixed dolphin noises as music before realizing the humans don't get it and then dials it down to "easy listening", which translates to rave music in Earth terms.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Downplayed. He and Aja get along fine and are quite close, but he does have a tendency to annoy her.
* BadassBookworm: He's a TeenGenius, and can fight for his own self-worth, although he isn't as good as his sister, but makes up for it with his skills with tech.
* CharacterDevelopment: Krel starts off as being the most desperate between him and Aja to return home as he finds Earth to be nothing more than a "mudball". As he bonds with his human friends and grows to love music, he quickly grows an appreciation toward the planet, even dubbing it his home. [[spoiler:He even decides to stay in the series finale.]]
* FantasticRacism: He doesn't think much of humanity at first, but gradually grows to respect it as the series goes on.
* IChooseToStay: [[spoiler:Ultimately decides to stay on Earth, declaring it his new home.]]
* InsufferableGenius: His haughtiness and impatience with Earth's lesser-developed sciences don't endear him very much to his fellow students and the season ends with him having barely made any friends.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Krel is much more haughty than his sister and has a much lower opinion of Earth, but he is capable of showing care for others, even those outside of his family.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Aja is often overwhelmed by her emotions and needs the calm, balanced mind of her brother to help her.
* NonActionGuy: PlayedWith, he's not useless in a fight, but compared to Vex and Aja, he's only just barely able to defend himself. Often while Aja and Vex are doing the fighting, Krel will be doing tech stuff, like disarming a self-destructing evil robot.
* PlayfulHacker: He uses alien tech to turn the Janus Order's secret hideout into a rave.
* PunyEarthlings: Hardly an episode goes by where Krel doesn't degrade humanity or their technology. In season 2, he is shown to grudgingly accept Earth and show that his greatest fear is losing his new home to Morando.
* TeenGenius: Even by the standards of his race, Krel is considered a technological genius with no equal.

!!Fialkov and Coranda Tarron
!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''
-> '''Fialkov Voiced by:''' Creator/AndyGarcia
-> '''Coranda Voiced by:''' Creator/TatianaMaslany

The king and queen of Akiridion-5 and the parents of Aja and Krel Tarron. Following an attack on their home by General Val Morando, they are both injured and spend the majority of the series in regeneration pods to heal while their children work to protect them.
----
* ActionDad /ActionMom: They are both skilled with serrators and use them with great skill.
* BigGood: They are both this, being the beloved rulers of Akiridion-5.
* DissonantSerenity: Used to great dramatic effect. [[spoiler:When their cores are finally revived, the first thing they do is calmly walk into a battlefield over to the cannon aimed at Morando, and power it with their cores.]]
* TheGoodKing /TheHighQueen: They are both beloved by their people for being just and fair rulers.
* GoodParents: Fialkov is this by supporting his son's interest in inventing while Cordana shows that she doesn't hold it against Aja for not wanting to become Queen in waiting
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:In the final episode of the series, they use their cores to power the weapon to defeat General Morando.]]
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: When General Morando and his troops are outside their palace, they are at the front lines of defense, ready to fight them off to protect their children.

!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow'' | ''WesternAnimation/TrollhuntersRiseOfTheTitans''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/NickOfferman

The zealous and battle-hungry commander of Akiridion-5's military force (the Taylon Phalanx), and Aja and Krel's bodyguard. On Earth, he is disguised as an elderly human man who acts as a protagonist along with the royal siblings in ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''.
----
* AlliterativeName: '''V'''arvatos '''V'''ex.
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:He is the one who allowed General Morando to attack Akiridion-5 by lowering the shields, though he had been promised no one would be hurt. His guilt over this action has led him to protect Aja and Krel with even more zeal than normal.]]
* TheBigGuy: In his normal form.
* BloodKnight: If it's not about killing, maiming, or torture, he's not interested. He does, [[CharacterDevelopment over time]], gain an interest in the strategy of chess and becomes very supportive of Aja and Krel's Earth hobbies, even if they aren't for him.
* BoisterousBruiser: Varvatos Vex is almost always boisterous and loud regarding absolutely everything.
* BrokenPedestal: He's on the receiving end of this when [[spoiler:Aja, Krel, and Zadra discover he was the traitor who lowered the planet's shields, allowing General Morando and his forces to take over the planet]].
* BroughtDownToBadass: By his own admission, he's not as strong in his "feeble human form" as he is in his original self, but he's still capable of fairly absurd feats of strength (like stopping a moving car with his bare hands).
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler:He returns to Akiridion-5 alongside Aja and Zadra.]]
* CatchPhrase: "Glorious."
* ExtraEyes: He has four eyes in his true form, but has a normal pair while in human form.
* DeathSeeker: He speaks often about his hope for an honorable death in combat and meets the potential of dying with glee. It's unclear if he's always been so eager for it [[spoiler:or if the loss of his family and his guilt over betraying the royals has just pushed him further towards seeking it]].
* DidntThinkThisThrough: [[spoiler:An usurper known for being murderous offers to let him avenge his family if he just betrays the royals whom he serves. Vex actually believes Morando when he says no one will be hurt in the coup. Guess how well ''that'' turns out]].
* HeroicSacrifice: Vex is obsessed with "dying gloriously" for the Royal Family, which would entail this. [[spoiler:He attempts to do this in the finale of Part 1, but survives and is taken away by Zeron Alpha. In the Part 2 finale, he risks his life when he shields House Tarron from Morando after the latter merged from Gaylen's Core, and while Varvatos ends up surviving, he has to undergo Akiridion medical treatment before he can recover.]]
* InterspeciesRomance: With Nancy Domzalski.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: [[spoiler:He's heartbroken when he learns that Nancy has started dating his chess pal Phil, but when it seems like they will all be killed he sends both of them messages wishing them to be happy togethor.]]
* KarmicTransformation: [[spoiler:In hindsight, this applies when we learn he betrayed the royal family]]. His earth disguise is being an old man that isn't taken seriously by anyone on Earth. Vex feels the disrespect but has to use his head to think through situations.
* LargeHam: Everything he says and does is ridiculously over the top and loud.
* LaughingMad: His bloody threats are usually punctuated by maniacal laughter. He also tends to laugh when fighting.
* MarsNeedsWomen: Develops a crush on Toby's Nana, Nancy Domzalski, whom he refers to as a "silver-haired temptress". Seeing her for the first time even triggers a FantasySequence.
* NoIndoorVoice: He tends to shout most of what he says at the top of his lungs.
* RevengeBeforeReason: [[spoiler:Out of bitterness over the King's and Queen's decision to fortify Akiridion-9's defenses in response to the Zeron Brotherhood's attack that killed Vex's family instead of allowing him to pursue the bounty hunters in retaliation, Vex is tempted by Morando's promise of an opportunity to avenge his slain relatives in exchange for helping him take control over their planet.]]
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: Varvatos uses it as an outlet for his bloodlust, but does get to make the comment or two on his relative place on the chessboard. [[spoiler:Namely, as a sacrificial pawn to save the King and Queen.]]
* ScatterbrainedSenior: Trying to be a seasoned warrior in an old man's body invokes this image. Detective Scott overrides him saying he's in charge of Aja and Krel because Vex's antics-- trying to lift a shop building and later a bench -- make him think that Vex is too incompetent to care for them.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: The only time he drops his ThirdPersonPerson shtick is when he's at his most somber.
* PhraseCatcher: "That guy is intense."
* ThirdPersonPerson: Oddly enough the only one of the race who does it. The only time he doesn't use it is when he wants to be very serious in his words.
* WillNotTellALie: He insists on maintaining honesty at all times. However, that doesn't stop him from doing so if he feels it is necessary to fulfill his duties.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Invoked; he's actually a fairly seasoned warrior but is given the disguise of an old man with back problems.

----
* AbnormalLimbRotationRange: His head can rotate a full 360 degrees.
* AllAnimalsAreDogs: Even before he gets disguised as a dog, he acts like one.
* AmplifiedAnimalAptitude: He shows creativity in attempting to wake an unconscious Vex, and knows how to use the ship's communication system in the season 1 finale.
* BizarreAlienBiology: He shoots lasers in place of urine or flames when he farts.

----
* BenevolentAI: Mother is very protective and helpful to Aja and Krel.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:The OMEN takes control of Mother in the series premiere's climax.]]
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: Much like the blanks studying earth culture made her more emotional than she was at the beginning, especially in Part Two.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:She eliminates herself in order to save Aja and Krel's parents. Unfortunately, her sacrifice is rendered [[SenselessSacrifice inert]] when they end up sacrificing their life cores to destroy Morando.]]

* IChooseToStay: [[spoiler:After Krel decides to remain in Arcadia, Ricky and Lucy decide to stay as well.]]
* MamaBear: In the first instance of GrewBeyondTheirProgramming, Lucy interrogates Stuart about threatening her "kids".
* PapaWolf: Ricky, following Lucy's example, interrogates Stuart about what he knows about the children.

!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HayleyAtwell

Commander Vex's second in command. She stayed behind in order to give the royals a chance to escape.
----
* ActionGirl
* AllWomenLoveShoes: Accidentally orders a pair of red boots, upon seeing them in person, it's love at first sight and she never takes them off despite not actually having feet.
* AscendedExtra: Her scenes are largely regulated to the political situation on Akiridion-5 but [[spoiler:joins the main party on Earth at the end of season 1, stranded like the rest of them]].
* BrokenPedestal: Her faith in Vex shatters when she discovers that [[spoiler:he was the traitor who lowered the planet's shields]].
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler:She returns to Akiridion-5 alongside Aja and Vex.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: She attempts one in the pilot, but the villains manage to capture her alive.
* HonorBeforeReason: Subverted. She was prepared to die fighting off Morando's men to save the children. Later, she makes no bare bones of her hatred for Morando as he asks her to join him and that is ''not'' a request. Zadra, however, is scared that the kids are in danger and decides the best way to save them is to find out what Morando knows and sabotage him.
* IconicOutfit: Season 2 has this with the red boots she bought.
* JoinOrDie: Morando tells her to do this -- become his lieutenant, or he will torture her to death until she agrees. Her doctor tries to smuggle her out as thanks for Aja saving her child, but Zadra realizes that pretending to work for Morando is the best way to rescue the kids and stop him. She instead agrees to work for the Resistance as a deep-cover mole.
* MamaBear: Part of the reason she agrees to be a [[TheMole mole]] is to try and find Aja and Krel to keep them safe and sabotage Morando.
* TheMole: She agrees to work for Morando as the new commander of the Taylon Phalanx, but only so she can gather intel on the whereabouts of Aja and Krel, as well as finding out who the traitor that lowered the shields is. She wears the Resistance ring as a TrustPassword.
* RedHerring: It's implied at first that ''she'' is the mole when Zadra stays behind to fight off Morando's men. [[spoiler:It turns out her loyalty to the royals has never been in doubt and she pretends to be a mole to save the kids]].
* RefugeInAudacity: Zadra takes advantage of this. Morando believes that due to her willingness to die for the royals that he would be able to break her will into agreeing to serve him. He underestimates that she would pretend to agree and stand by his side so as to sabotage his quest.
* SinisterScythe: A good person, but her main weapon is a double-ended scythe.
* SpinToDeflectStuff: She can spin her weapon to deflect attacks, be they physical or energy.
* SwordBeam: Her scythe can fire projectiles when swung.
* UndyingLoyalty: An utmost devout ward of the Royal Family.

A member of the rebellion. Her daughter was saved by Aja during Morando's attack.
----
* HeroicBystander: She's the doctor who treated a captive Zadra and offers to smuggle her out to get her to the Resistance. When Zadra says she needs to sabotage Morando from the inside out, Izita gives her an insignia ring that serves as a TrustPassword so the Resistance knows what Zadra is doing.
* IOweYouMyLife: She stays loyal to the royals thanks to Aja saving her daughter from collapsing rubble during Morando's attack.

----
* ExtraEyes: He has four eyes just like Vex and Morando.
* ForcedIntoEvil: He's loyal to the crown and works for Morando unwillingly.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: While the other Akiridions look humanoid, Loth Saborian stands out among them in resembling a hammerhead shark.
* StarfishAliens: Possibly.

----
* AbusiveParents: It is implied by Coach Lawrence that Steve's hostility was a result of a verbally abusive dad.
* AdaptationNameChange: Goes from "Steve ''Jorgenson-Warner''" from the book to "Steve ''Palchuk''" in the show.
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: By the end of the original novel, Steve was revealed to be a changeling. In the show, however, he is fully human, proven straight when he was once hit in the head with Jim and Toby's Gaggletack and didn't change.
* AmazonChaser: ''Immediately'' falls for Aja after she kicks his ass.
-->'''Steve:''' ''[Internally]'' Woah! She's like a ninja-kicking angel. I mean, she-- she kicks ninjas, but she's an angel.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Even after the Season 2 finale of ''Trollhunters'' brought him face-to-face with the supernatural, he scoffs at Eli's claims that extraterrestrials might be living among them.
** Inverted and [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] in the ''3Below'' series finale: when approached by a talking cat warning about the doomsday, Steve's first reaction is to [[SkewedPriorities ask why he wears glasses]]. When Toby asks why he doesn't question how the cat can ''talk'' in the first place, Steve answers he has already seen weirder things happen.
* AscendedExtra: He goes from being part of the supporting cast in ''Trollhunters'' to being part of the main cast in ''3Below'' and ''Wizards''. Though he does end up getting [[DemotedToExtra demoted back to being part of the supporting cast]] in ''Rise of the Titans''.
* BarbaricBully: Within minutes of their first meeting, Steve's calling Jim out for a beating after school. When outright fighting Jim is out of the question, he employs increasingly esoteric and deranged methods to torment him.
* BigOlEyebrows: Has thick, brown eyebrows.
* BullyingADragon: He torments and ridicules Jim constantly, more than a few times Jim has thought about decking him but is able to resist for the most part. It should be noted that Jim has more or less tempted Steve to bully him because whenever Steve went after kids actually weaker than him Jim would always step in.
* ButtMonkey: In ''Wizards'', he spends most of his screentime being humiliated in several creative ways. ''Rise of the Titans'' takes this up a notch when he kisses Aja for the seventh time upon her return to Earth, [[MrSeahorse he unwittingly makes himself pregnant in the process]] and spends the rest of the plot suffering from abnormal cravings and enduring painful contractions of childbirth.
* CatchPhrase: "Die, Creeper!", his go-to battle cry.
* CharacterDevelopment: Steve, hands down, gets the most development of any character in the show. He starts off in ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' as your typical JerkJock bully, picking on anyone he deems weaker than him. Slowly though thanks to the increasing weirdness of Arcadia we see him become friends with Eli, tone down his bullying ways significantly, and a secret protector of the heroes.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Steve has both brown hair and eyes.
* DemotedToExtra: Doesn't really appear much in Part Three of ''Trollhunters'', obviously to compensate for his role in ''[=3Below=]''.
** After playing a major role in both ''3Below'' and ''Wizards'', he ends up only playing a minor role in ''Rise of the Titans'' as him going through [[MrSeahorse Akiridion pregnancy]] is irrelevant to the whole plot, other than just making him a ButtMonkey.
* DoNotGoGentle: In the BadFuture, his last moments involve fighting a winged troll as it carries him off into the night.
* DumbassNoMore: A more mundane example; he starts off as a typical DumbJock and JerkJock, usually having no survival skills whatsoever. Realizing there's weirdness in Arcadia, however, motivates him to shape up to stay alive and take down supernatural threats. He goes from someone that tries to run Jim off the road to a quick-thinker that gets parasols and blankets to protect trolls from the sun.
* FireForgedFriends: With Eli in "Creepslayerz" as they form the titular team while investigating the strange, possibly dangerous creatures in Arcadia. At the same time, they also form a genuine, if vitriolic, friendship.
* {{Flanderization}}: While he received a lot of CharacterDevelopment over the course of ''Trollhunters'' and ''[=3Below=]'', by ''Wizards'' and ''Rise of the Titans'' he became nothing more than superfluous ComicRelief.
* ForWantOfANail: In the BadFuture that Jim saw, he ends up as Romeo and kissing Claire onstage. Jim witnesses Steve's last moments as taking down invading Gumm-Gumms and dying in the attempt.
* FreudianExcuse: It's implied he's a jerk because his dad was an emotionally abusive deadbeat. He gets better about this when admitting that he prefers his mother dating Coach Lawrence and realizing that Jim isn't his enemy.
* GenreSavvy: When Jim calls them for aide in protecting the evacuating Trolls from the sunlight, Steve candidly likens it to the same weakness shared by Vampires.
-->'''Steve:''' Ah, like vampire rules!
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Eli Pepperjack, of all people. He cries out for Pepperjack several times and after the end of [=3Below=], [[spoiler:he's about as upset about losing Eli as he is about losing Aja]].
* HiddenDepths:
** Dim as he may seem, he's got enough brains and acting ability to land the (understudy) role of Romeo in the school play. Furthermore, he has enough acting ability to completely con Jim in the Truck-a-thon, and when auditioning for Krel's role in Toby and Eli's movie his talent brings his audience to tears. It says a lot that even though the role was written for Krel, and Krel was already filming it, the Director was seriously considering recasting and starting again.
** While he initially comes off as a crybaby blowhard, Season 2 shows he has a noble, brave side.
** While embarrassed by him, Steve confesses that he really does see Coach Lawrence as the good father figure he never really had.
* IChooseToStay: Aja invites Steve to join her on Akiridion-5, but he decides to stay because he can't leave his family.
* InterspeciesRomance: He gets into one with Aja, who is Akiridion while Steve is human.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Wearing a diaper to the Touch-A-Truckathon might be disgusting and undignified, but it manages to give him a legitimate edge for much of the competition.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's an unrepentant bully and season 2 proves that deep, ''deep'' down, Steve has the capacity to be brave and selfless and befriend others. He maintains a strong friendship with Eli for the rest of the series and starts dating Aja when they meet. He also learns to care for Jim to a degree.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Pre-CharacterDevelopment, he has plenty of these:
** He spends the first half of ''Trollhunters'' Part One trying to get his revenge on Jim for him breaking his tooth, from trying to beat him up to taking his place as Romeo for the school play; he even flirts with Claire just to get under his skin. When he arrogantly tries to challenge Jim for a Vespa race (while the latter's being chased by a Stalkling), Steve ends up totaling his Vespa. As a result, he develops a concussion and can no longer play Romeo.
** In the beginning of Part Two, Steve continues [[UnsportsmanlikeGloating gloating about his Spring Fling King crown and scepter]], even though the dance ended two weeks ago. He [[KickTheDog sadistically mocks Jim's absence in front of Toby]], even when the latter does everything to get rid of him and the former just refuses to leave him alone. Steve gets another short end of the stick when [[TheDogBitesBack Toby gets him arrested as payback]].
* LongDistanceRelationship: [[spoiler:As Aja returned to her home planet, they decide to try a really long-distance relationship.]]
* LoveAtFirstPunch: Or kick in this case, but Steve falls head over heels for Aja after she kicks him several feet for hitting her brother.
* MistakenForGay: In season 2 of ''3Below'', it's suggested that Toby has mistaken Eli and Steve's friendship for dating at least once before.
* ParentWithNewParamour: His father is out of the picture and his mother is now dating Coach Lawrence, putting a strain on his relationship with his formerly favorite teacher. Steve eventually admits, however, that he prefers Coach Lawrence because at least the man tries to be his friend and is better than his real dad.
* SeenItAll: By the 3Below finale, it's clear that nothing out of the ordinary surprises him anymore.
* SecretKeeper:
** In "Creepslayerz", Steve is this in regards to Eli's EmbarrassingMiddleName.
** He promises to keep Aja's secret once she reveals her true form to him.
* SecretSecretKeeper: Becomes this in "Creepslayerz" as he and Eli realize that Jim is somehow connected to all of the weird activity in Arcadia, but keep it quiet because they ''know'' that whatever Jim's secret is, he's on the side of good. He graduates to a SecretKeeper with Eli in the season two finale, when Jim finally cuts the pretense and asks Steve for help saving Trollmarket refugees.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: After forming a [[FireForgedFriends friendship]] with Eli in "Creepslayerz", they become this as Steve is the brash, insulting Manly Man to Eli's nice, polite Sensitive Guy.
* SixthRanger: Steve becomes a helping hand for the Trollhunters when he and Eli find out the whole truth. He continues this role in ''3 Below'', helping the Royal Family, though that has a lot to do with his attraction to Aja.
* TookALevelInBadass: Zigzagged. Even after becoming an ally to the Trollhunters and House Tarron, Steve was not very professional about combating the supernatural. Around ''Wizards'', even while he's trained by Lancelot, his skills were still less than that of his more experienced friends and the knights. Later on, he held back against a changeling and knocked it out, allowing Douxie and the others to kill it, and later fought alongside them at the Battle of Killahead, killing a good amount of Gumm-Gumms with his Toothache weapon without much struggle. However, he ran from Bular and resorted to ask Nimue to throw him out of battle.
* TookALevelInKindness: It doesn't happen until the second half of season two when he witnesses Jim fighting a monster and declaring he's protecting Arcadia. Realizing that he read Jim all wrong, Steve resolves to help in any way he can and reforms his character. What's more, he finally tells Coach Lawrence that he's happy to have him as a friend even if he's not ready for another father-figure.
* UnderstandingBoyfriend: While he had developed the idea that aliens are all "brain-sucking" monsters, he drops this when he finds out that his girlfriend is also an alien. The fact that she's an {{Angelic Alien|s}} compared to the ones he's encountered before probably helps with this.
* WouldHitAGirl: When Claire tries to get Steve to back off from Jim, he violently shoves her out of the way.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: During Jim and Steve's fight in "[[Recap/TrollhuntersS1E19Airheads Airheads]]", Steve breaks down, claiming that Jim keeps winning over him and that he feels like he's losing everything. When Jim feels sorry for him and forfeits, Steve immediately snaps out of it and mocks him for falling for it.
* WrongGenreSavvy: When he, Aja, and Krel are abducted by bounty hunters, he assumes that all aliens are the "brain-sucking/probing" kind, making Aja apprehensive when she decides to reveal herself.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ColeSand

One of Jim's classmates who is out to prove the existence of Trolls.
----

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Eli is a frequent victim of Steve's bullying and doesn't seem to be well-respected among his peers.
-->'''Eli:''' I have friends!\\
'''Girl:''' No, you don't.
* ArtisticLicenseLaw: Eli's ownership of several shurikens as his choice of weapons is questionable as it's ''illegal'' to own shurikens in California.
** This was somewhat remedied when Eli is caught and accidentally exposes his shurikens to a government official (Sergeant Costas) and was taken in (even if he was merely taken hostage for being an ally to the Tarrons).
* ArtisticLicensePolitics: Even by alien standards, Eli's position as an "Earth ambassador" for Akiridion-5 can be considered unofficial; he was not appointed by any Earthly government and he would need to be chosen unanimously or at least by the U.N. Security Council, which would be required for him to be an ''official'' ambassador.
* BadassDriver: He can't parallel park normally, but can do so via "Tokyo Drifting".
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Eli is initially skeptical of Steve's theory that Jim is an evil shapeshifter with plans for world domination because Jim was one of the few people to be genuinely and consistently kind to him. He's relieved to find out that Steve was wrong.
* BrainyBrunette: Eli has black hair and appears to be quite intelligent.
* TheBusCameBack: After spending some time on Akiridion-5, Eli returns to Earth alongside Aja in ''Rise of the Titans'', [[IGotBigger now physically more mature than when he first left]].
* ButtMonkey: He's picked on by Steve, not well-respected among his other peers, and sometimes is caught up in Jim's Trollhunter life.
* TheCassandra: Eli is [[ConspiracyTheorist the only one who knew about the various supernatural anomalies that populate Arcadia]], but of course nobody believes him until Steve manages to capture a goblin routing through his trash, and even then Steve does not believe him that there are aliens there as well. This finally gets averted in the Trollhunters season 2 finale.
* DemotedToExtra: Like Steve, Eli doesn't appear much in Part Three of ''Trollhunters'', due to his more [[AscendedExtra prominent role]] in ''[=3Below=]'', but is [[PutOnTheBus completely absent]] from ''Wizards'' due to becoming an Earth Ambassador for Akiridion-5. While he does [[TheBusCameBack return]] in ''Rise of the Titans'', Eli doesn't have a major role, other than being responsible for designing the Gun Robot Megasuit, which helps Varvatos battle the Fire Titan.
* EmbarrassingMiddleName: His middle name is ''"Leslie"''.
-->'''Steve:''' ''[Chuckles]'' ''Leslie''? Guess we ''both'' have a secret.
* FireForgedFriends: With Steve in "Creepslayerz" as they form the titular team while investigating the strange, possibly dangerous creatures in Arcadia. At the same time, they also form a genuine, if vitriolic, friendship.
* FullNameUltimatum: Expects his mom to deliver this whenever he shows any form of disrespect to her. Talking back or snapping at her is a common RunningGag to this.
* IGotBigger: When he returns to Earth, Eli has ''significantly'' matured so much that Steve initially doesn't recognize him. Turns out, puberty had a very pleasant effect on him during his stay on an alien planet for almost a year.
* LetsGetDangerous: If hero duty or Jim calls, Eli is always ready to help. [[spoiler:When Gunmar staged his invasion of the human world, Eli suited up with wheelies and prepared to distract the Gumm-Gumms away from innocent people. It helped buy time for the Trollhunters to dive into combat]].
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: PlayedWith, Eli isn't privy to the details but he is aware of the presents of Trolls, Aliens, and Wizards. At least for the former, he got to [[spoiler:interview the trolls personally after helping to evacuate them]]. In fact, he is the only one aware of all three.
* MistakenForGay: In season 2 of ''3Below'', it's suggested that Toby has mistaken Eli and Steve's friendship for dating at least once before.
* MommasBoy: Shows some hints of this - on more than one occasion he's talked back to his mom, only to be immediately contrite when she responds with a FullNameUltimatum.
* NerdGlasses: Wears big, black glasses.
* NiceGuy: He's shown to be consistently polite and friendly.
* PutOnTheBus: Eli is completely absent in ''Wizards'', due to visiting Akiridion-5 as an earth ambassador. Although he's [[TheGhost mentioned a few times]] by Steve.
* SecretKeeper: In "Creepslayerz", Eli is this in regards to Steve's mother dating Coach Lawrence.
* SecretSecretKeeper: Becomes this in "Creepslayerz" as he and Steve realize that Jim is somehow connected to all of the weird activity in Arcadia but keep it quiet because they ''know'' that whatever Jim's secret is, he's on the side of good. He and Steve later become full-blown {{Secret Keeper}}s and Jim's allies in the season two finale.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: After forming a [[FireForgedFriends friendship]] with Steve in "Creepslayerz", they become this as Steve is the brash, insulting Manly Man to Eli's nice, polite Sensitive Guy.
* SitcomArchnemesis: Acts as one to the Tarrons in the first season's initial quarter as they're afraid he'll out their true natures to the rest of the town. They eventually realize that he's harmless and, more importantly, no one believes anything he says anyway.
* SixthRanger: It's safe to say they're finally in the loop after the Season 2 finale. They are ready to help the evacuation when Jim finally calls for their aide and is exposed to Trollkind.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Eli wears NerdGlasses and is quite smart.
* ThrowTheDogABone:
** After spending an entire episode in the middle of a fight between Steve and Jim, he manages to win the Truck-A-Thon just by avoiding their punches.
** In the Trollhunters season 2 finale, [[spoiler:Jim calls him and Steve for help in evacuating the trolls from Gunmar's coup. Eli is thrilled that he gets to be a hero and that he'll finally get answers to all of his questions]].
* TookALevelInBadass: In a MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: he is shown easily climbing a rope in the gym and then backflipping back to the ground.
* VocalDissonance: Despite being a teenager, Eli has the voice of someone in middle school or earlier than that. This changes in [=3Below=] season 2 when his voice deepens.

A helpful alien the three meet who has been living on Earth for 30+ years. He hails from the planet Durio, known for being the smelliest planet in the universe, and occasionally helps the heirs when they have an Earth problem.
----

* AliensOfLondon: He has a very pronounced English accent.
* AscendedFanboy: He's a huge nerd over galactic royal families, but by far he loves House Tarron. He takes great delight that he is now friends with Aja and Krel and helping them on their mission to return home.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: For all his goofiness, he apparently managed to break out of a heavily guarded military base, with walls wired with bombs among other threats. And then willingly goes back to break out his old friend Buster.
* ExtraEyes: He has four eyes in his true form.
* MeaningfulName: He's from the notably stinky planet Durio 3 and is, therefore, a Durian. Anyone who has been near the Durian fruit knows only too well just how pungent they are.
* NiceGuy: Stuart is an amicable and pleasant alien who is always willing to help out the Royal Family.

An evil, tyrannical dictator who takes over Akiridion-5 and serves as the main antagonist of ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''.
----

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: Nobody likes him and he doesn't care. He doesn't want his subjects' love or loyalty, just their obedience.
* AlienInvasion: Morando led a coup d'etat on his homeworld, and took over it for his own diabolical purposes. He also wants to invade Earth.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: [[spoiler:Upon merging with Gaylen's Core, Morando grows to massive proportions where he personally attacks Arcadia.]]
* BadBoss: When Krel and Aja escape, he kills the person that brought him the news.
* BigBad: He is the main reason that the main characters escaped to Earth and the one who directs the bounty hunters to hunt them.
* CollapsibleHelmet: He is seen wearing a helmet when he makes his introduction in the first episode, which he deactivates, causing it to disappear [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse Star Lord]] style.
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: [[spoiler:He manages to get a hold of Gaylen's core and become a god in the process. He, however, is destroyed before his power grows enough to recreate the universe as he planned.]]
* EvilIsPetty: He's the kind of tyrant to kill you for reasons like reporting bad news.
* EvilOverlord: He takes a very hard stance against the citizens of Akiridion-5; worship him or die.
* TheExile: Was exiled before his coup at the start of the series.
* ExtraEyes: Much like Vex, he has four eyes.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Whatever politeness he exudes does little to conceal the bastard that he is underneath.
* GalacticConquerer: Morando wants to make Akiridion-5 a galactic superpower with him at the helm.
* GodhoodSeeker: When he finds out that [[spoiler:[[{{God}} Gaylen's]] core is somewhere on Earth]], he changes his motives to getting it with the intent of becoming a god and remaking the universe in his image, killing the royals and ruling over Akiridion-5 becoming mere perks in comparison.
* {{Jerkass}}: He is, simply put, a massive and vicious asshole.
* KickTheDog: Plenty to count, but most significantly, he [[spoiler:blows up Buster]] into goop simply because "[he] hates bugs", when he was ''clearly'' trying to defend House Tarron and their friends; [[spoiler:Buster was no mere "bug", but family (especially to Luug, who mourned his unfortunate demise)]].
* KnightOfCerebus: He's a power-mad dictator whose overthrow of house Tarron and Akiridion-5 is played completely seriously, and his attempts at ending the royal family make him just as menacing.
* MagicPants: [[spoiler:His clothing grows alongside him after he becomes a PhysicalGod via merging with Gaylen's Core.]]
* ManipulativeBastard:
** [[spoiler:Convinced Varvatos to betray the House of Tarron by telling him that no one would be hurt. ** [[spoiler:Convinced Kubritz that he would NOT harm the Earth as long as he gets what he wants, and even gave her some weaponry to protect Earth. It takes him rampaging across Arcadia at the size of a kaiju to make her realize he's going to destroy Earth along with the rest of the universe.]]
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Compared to the humanoid Akiridions with the exception of Loth Soborian, Morando has a much more demonic and monstrous appearance, and with the top of his head shaped like a pair of horns.
* OmnicidalManiac: [[spoiler:In season 2, he plans on remaking the universe once he gets his hands on Gaylen's Core.]]
* OneWingedAngel: [[spoiler:In "A Glorious End, Part 1", Morando absorbs Gaylon's core and transforms into a giant god-like alien monster that is unstoppable.]]
* OrcusOnHisThrone: In the first part of the series premiere, Morando is content to send bounty hunters after Krel and Aja while he solidifies his take-over of Akiridion-5 and builds new superweapons. [[spoiler:This changes when his attempt to broadcast the deaths of the royals fails, and he plans to head to Earth soon.]]
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: [[spoiler:After he's merged with Gaylen's Core, Morando is completely black, save for his eyes and neon lights, which have turned red at this point. He also gains red wings shaped like Gaylen's.]]
* SatanicArchetype: His primary color motif is deep, seething red, his head is shaped in a manner that evokes horn imagery, and his goal is to become a god and remake the universe in his own image. Morando's favorite cardinal sin seems to be treachery, as he betrayed his King and Queen to start a coupe and take the crown for himself under a fascist dictatorship, he convinced Varvatos to betray them for him ([[spoiler:even having engineered his family's death to make him more willing]]) and he promises to help Colonel Kubritz defend the Earth by providing advanced weaponry with every intention to destroy the Earth when he is done with it. Even Kubritz's Sergeant describes their deal with him as "a DealWithTheDevil."
* TheSociopath: A cruel, power-hungry dictator who is ChronicBackstabbingDisorder incarnate and is willing to pursue his goals at any cost, even if it means screwing over his allies in the process.
* UngratefulBastard: Despite him having committed high treason against House Tarron in the past, which is punishable by death, the King and Queen decided to have mercy on him by banishing him and the Taylon Phalanx from Akiridion-5 instead. How does he repay their grace? [[spoiler:By ordering the Zeron Brotherhood to bomb Sattelite-Nine, thus killing hundreds of innocents including Varvatos Vex's family, so he can use Varvatos to lower the shields while falsely promising him that everyone will be left unharmed.]] And when that's done, he takes over the planet, leading to the King and Queen's cores being put in stasis. He then sends bounty hunters to kill Aja and Krel and bring the King and Queen's cores to him so he can crush them, and therefore kill them.
* TheUsurper: An illegitimate ruler who usurped the righteous rulers of Akiridion-5.
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: Morando speaks in an odd, hard to identify accent (a fruit of his VA's hybrid accent, originated due to being an Israeli with French-Algerian and Egyptian ancestry).
* YouHaveFailedMe: He executes Tronos Madu for failing to take down the Royals.

* TheHeavy: Morando is the one that commanded them to go after the royal aliens, but he is far away from Earth to actually act on anything, leaving the brotherhood to do most of the damage and be most of the problems faced by the royals.
* ItsPersonalWithTheDragon: While Morando is the one who launches the coup on Akiridion-5, Varvatos takes it personally with them for being responsible for the death of his family.

* BirdPeople: Halcon has several birdlike attributes such as flight, squawking when she speaks, and not being able to see glass. Her human disguise even uses "Birdie" as a nickname.
* ColdSniper: She is a deadly marksman who would've shot Krel's core out of his body had Dadblank not blocked her shot with his briefcase
* {{Flight}}: She is capable of flying at fast speeds despite lacking any wings.
* {{Foil}}: She is one to the Zeron Brotherhood in terms of how they pursue targets. While both are ruthless and willing to fulfill their contracts by any means necessary, the Zerons don't give a rat's ass about who or what gets in the way of collecting their money and are all too willing to destroy an entire civilized area just to take down one target, as shown by their bombing Commerce Guild that slew Vex's family. On the other hand, Halcon opts for the tactic of "research and destroy", studying her targets either from a distance or in disguise until she finds the right moment to strike.
** She is also a foil to Vex, as both of them are blue-colored aliens and lethal warriors armed with serrators who pose as elderly citizens on Earth. But while Vex is a noble-natured yet zealous warrior who takes time to understand human customs, Halcon adapts to Earth culture much faster, posing as a strict member of the special advisor to the school board who uses her deception to learn where the royals are hiding out.
* ObstructiveBureaucrat: She gives Aja and Krel a ton of paperwork to fill out to prove they're U.S. citizens, but that's only so she can find out where they live to ambush them and take their parents' cores.
* RacistGrandma: Her human disguise comes off as this, being scathing and suspicious of Aja and Krel due to them clearly not being from the United States to the point where [[SternTeacher Senior Uhl]] tells her to lay off them

!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/UzoAduba

The colonel in charge of observing all the alien life of Area 49-B.
----
* AbsoluteXenophobe: Has a strong hatred for aliens and alien life, seeing them as potential specimens/test subjects at best or outright threats at worst. Interestingly, she knows of the existence of trolls but seems to pay no mind to it.
* {{Acrofatic}}: She's not exactly overweight, but she's not thin either. Doesn't stop her from fighting hand to hand with Aja and ''winning''.
* ActorAllusion: Uzo Aduba is known for playing Bismuth from ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'', a WellIntentionedExtremist alien. Here she is cast as a NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist ''human'' who's agenda specifically targets aliens.
* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler:She dies in the finale, and no one will miss her. She's so unpleasant that being KilledMidSentence whilst pinned under a car and bleeding out seems like [[KarmicDeath she got off light]]. Even her redemption in trying to stop Morando in the end was far too late, considering how she's acted throughout the series.]]
* AscendedExtra: She only appears in a single episode in Season 1, but is a major villain in Season 2.
* AxCrazy: In her first debut, Kubritz's sanity was noticeably...not so good. She's definitely insane, insane enough to [[spoiler:ally herself with the worst aliens in the galaxy, like Morando, just for more alien weapons and is willing to sell her planet to him just to get rid of the Tarron children. Costas even spells this out about how much Kubritz has completely sold herself to Morando's cause. After Morando presents her a battle suit of her own, her insanity reaches the point where she open fires at innocent civilians when they [[ShutUpHannibal stand against her accusations towards Aja and Krel]].]]
--> '''Costas:''' Colonel Kubritz has lost her mind!
* BadBoss: Sufficiently angry, she'll fire against her own men out of anger.
* BlackBossLady: Naturally.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Has a proud habit of breaking promises after making an alliance, like with [[spoiler:Tronos and the Tarrons, even after they helped her destroy an asteroid and save the Earth. Of course, Krel predicted from the beginning that Kubritz would go back on her word, and Tronos resentfully [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] her double-crossings.]]
--> '''Tronos:''' First you betray ''me'', then you betray ''them''.
* ColonelBadass: She can hold her own against Aja ''after'' Vex had been training her.
* DealWithTheDevil: [[spoiler:Invoked. Works alongside Morando in exchange for alien tech. [[TheCassandra Her lieutenant literally spells this out for her, only for him to be ignored.]]]]
* DoubleStandard: It turns out that she knew about the trolls that live beneath Arcadia - her predecessor having referred to Trollmarket as "the Underneath" - yet she seems to be completely unconcerned with it. Even after Gunmar and his armies broke to the surface and invaded the place, she seems to dismiss the trolls as irrelevant to her mission. Of course, Aja implies she wouldn't have trouble dissecting a troll if they actually came across one.
* TheDragon: [[spoiler:By season 2, to General Morando. She realizes he is likely to be or to become the most powerful being in the galaxy, so [[WrongGenreSavvy she sides with him to protect her planet]].]]
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Is visibly taken aback by how everyone in Arcadia accepts the Tarrons for who they are, not for where they came from nor what they are.
* {{Expy}}: She takes some visual cues from ComicBook/AmandaWaller, a black, tough-as-nails government agent who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
* FantasticRacism: All aliens are, to her, evil invaders at worst and potential specimens at best. A couple of passing lines show she has a dislike for human aliens as well. Strangely enough, this does not seem to apply to trolls, Area 49-B having known about Trollmarket for a while but dismissing their presence as irrelevant to her mission.
* FauxAffablyEvil: She has spoken to the aliens in a hospitable and polite tone even though she made her intentions of imprisoning and experimenting on them clear.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: She wears glasses, but is an AbsoluteXenophobe.
* GenreBlindness: [[spoiler:Expects Morando to keep his promise to protect Earth and continues helping him despite it becoming increasingly clear that the guy is bad news. Aja even points out that [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness he'll betray her once she's no longer useful]], to which she insists that he swore to protect Earth.]]
* HateSink: Given how she was willing to sell out her own planet to General Morando, as well as her xenophobia against extraterrestrials, it's clear that Kubritz was meant to be despised by the audience, [[spoiler:at least until the end, but even then, her death is still karmically satisfying, given her past war crimes.]]
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: [[spoiler:Finally turns against Morando after seeing all the damage he was causing to Arcadia. After attacking him, she gets trapped under a car and subsequently killed by Morando's energy blast.]]
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: She considers Aja, Krel, and Stuart to be "evil invaders" that need to be captured and imprisoned at all costs when really Aja and Krel are refugees and Stuart crash-landed there by complete accident. [[spoiler:Yet she is willing to work with the ObviouslyEvil Morando and help him become a ''PhysicalGod'' because he told her that he would conquer and/or remake the entire universe ''except'' Earth. It took ''way'' too long and too late for her to finally do to.]]
* {{Hypocrite}}: For someone who claims she is just doing what's necessary to protect Earth from invaders, she is quick to side with alien criminals and [[spoiler:power-hungry dictators just for the promise of weapons and tech]].
** Despite wanting to protect Earth, she's put Arcadia in danger multiple times searching for the Tarrons, and even threatens the citizens just for protecting them. Her claim as the "future supreme commander" of Earth also makes it clear she's just power-hungry.
** She looks on in horror when [[spoiler:Morando murders Tronos; the ''same'' Tronos that she imprisoned and tortured for failing to capture the Tarron siblings, even though ''she'' was the one who prevented him from doing so in the first place.]]
** Despite reneging on every bargain she ever made throughout the series, she's visibly astounded that Morando would betray her. Apparently, deals are hers to break... no one else's.
* {{Irony}}: Insists that all aliens are evil yet keeps teaming up with "bad" aliens like Tronos [[spoiler:and Morando]] to go against "good" aliens like the Tarron twins. Aja even lampshades it.
-->'''Aja''': For a human who hates all aliens, you pick the worst ones to befriend.
* {{Jerkass}}: Rude, crude, downright abusive, and a total {{Hypocrite}}.
* KarmicDeath: [[spoiler:She dies very ''very'' quickly in the finale. [[AssholeVictim You don't feel bad for her]]. She imprisoned, experimented on, and tortured Stuart and Buster for decades, don't forget... and even opened fire at ''countless'' innocent civilians when the last of her sanity slipped. While her death is due to a HeelFaceDoorSlam, it's too little, too late for it to be a subversion.]]
* KilledMidSentence: [[spoiler:"It's never too late--"]]
* KnightTemplar: Kubritz is ''so'' paranoid at the idea of aliens coming to invade Earth that she considers all aliens on Earth to be AlwaysChaoticEvil, even if they simply crash-landed there by complete accident. Her narrow-minded desire to capture, contain and exterminate all of them is so bad that she is willing to declare martial law over a town of innocent civilians, willing to tear all of Arcadia apart (and the innocent civilians there) just because Aja and Krel are there.
* MistakenForRacist: Weaponized. When she corners Aja and Krel while they're in their human disguises, she spouts things that, regarding immigrants, sound incredibly racist. When the rest of the students threaten to record her talking and make the video go viral, she backs down and gives up tracking them down that day.
* NeverMyFault:
** [[spoiler:Blames Tronos for failing to capture the Tarrons when ''she'' prevented him from doing so. She never took responsibility and used this to win Morando's good side by fibbing that Tronos was a traitor.]]
** [[spoiler:Kubritz blames Aja for all the chaos at the movie theater when ''she'' was the one who attacked the theater in the first place. And again when she blames Aja for everything due to not surrendering in the first place despite the fact that she was the one attacking Arcadia's citizens. Aja even calls her out for it.]]
* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: At first it just looks like she wants to protect Earth from any otherworldly presence that could potentially pose a threat. As the series progresses, however, the lengths she goes to capturing the Akiridions - cutting deals with more ObviouslyEvil aliens, breaking promises left and right, endangering Arcadia's human population - shows that she isn't interested in any common good; she's just a sociopathic, opportunistic {{Hypocrite}} with government funding and a small army at her command.
* SanitySlippage: [[spoiler:Once she's gifted with an Akiridion super-suit from Morando, her insanity reaches to the point where she ''open fires at numerous innocent civilians'' just for [[ShutUpHannibal defending Aja and Krel and how they've been more human than Kubritz will ever be]]. Costas lampshades just how insane she's become ever since forming an alliance with Morando.]]
* TheSociopath: She shows no remorse for exterminating, imprisoning, and torturing innocent extraterrestrial lifeforms, and she had little to no qualms [[spoiler:putting countless civilian lives at risk, even ''open firing at them'']].
* TautologicalTemplar: She believes that she is helping keep the planet and humans safe, therefore, all her actions, even the ones where she harms humans or puts the planet under the sight of Morando, are protecting humans. Aja calls her out on it.
** It is later revealed she doesn't care about the safety of the planet at all, but securing America's military superiority with alien technology so no other country can oppose them in warfare.
* TokenHuman: Kubritz is the first ''entirely'' human antagonist in the ''Tales of Arcadia'' franchise. Morgana doesn't necessarily count since she's a witch.
* WouldHurtAChild: Aside from being absolutely willing to kill an alien teenager, like Aja and Krel, Kubritz has no problems obliterating and torturing their human friends, like Steve, Toby, and Eli.
* WrongGenreSavvy: She believes that by helping a destructive, usurping tyrant like General Morando, he will leave Earth alone only through her cooperation... by helping said tyrant become a PhysicalGod with the power to ''destroy entire planets''. The lady has absolutely ''no'' self-awareness.
* YouMonster: [[spoiler:Everyone in Arcadia remarks to Kubritz just how much more human Aja and Krel truly acted compared to the despicable war crimes she's inflicted upon everyone with her army of destructive [=OMEN=]s. * EveryoneHasStandards: Costas assists Kubritz in capturing extraterrestrials no matter if they're dangerous or not, but he has far more decency than his superior. The first sign of this is his shock at Kubritz going back on her deal with the Tarrons despite the fact that they helped save Earth from the asteroid in "Asteroid Rage".
* {{Catchphrase}}: "Lively."

Later, she makes no bare bones of her hatred for Morando as he asks her to join him and that is ''not'' a request. Zadra, however, is scared that the kids are in danger and decides the best way to save them is to find out what Morando knows and sabotage him.

-->'''Steve:''' ''[Internally]'' Woah! She's like a ninja-kicking angel. I mean, she-- she kicks ninjas, but she's an angel.

* SecretKeeper:

* ThrowTheDogABone:

* RecurringExtra: For ''WesternAnimation/{{Trollhunters}}'' as the owner of the town's most popular Taco truck. He even gets his name-dropped, or at least his store does, in the second episode when Jim and Toby are running from Bular.
* ShipperOnDeck: Seems to be this for Steve and Aja.
* SignatureScent: Despite being on Earth for 3+ decades, he comes from the stinkiest planet in the galaxy. Even he knows how bad it smells and has a metaphor about it.

!!!'''Appearances:''' ''WesternAnimation/ThreeBelow''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AlonAbutbul

* ManipulativeBastard:
** [[spoiler:Convinced Varvatos to betray the House of Tarron by telling him that no one would be hurt. In fact, to make sure Varvatos accepted his offer, it was HIM that hired the Zeron Brotherhood to kill Varvatos' family, causing Varvatos to be bitter at the royals who refuse to give chase to the ones who did it.]]

* TheDreaded: Even ''Vex'' is wary about the thought of facing them.
* DwindlingParty: [[spoiler:Beta dies first due to being shot by Varvatos, then Omega is crushed by the Zerons' ship due to a bomb Varvatos planted on their ship. Finally, Alpha is stabbed by Varvatos after kidnapping him and taking him to the bounty hunters' outpost on the Moon.]]
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite their evilness, they care deeply for each other and actually seek revenge for being hurt.
* NoKillLikeOverkill: The Zerons once bombed an entire civilian building, killing hundreds of innocent people, including Varvatos Vex's family, just to claim a single bounty. [[spoiler:It's eventually revealed that General Morando employed them to do so while hiding this from Varvatos, so he could manipulate him into lowering the shields of Akiridion-5.]]

* NeverMyFault:
Kubritz is briefly taken aback... until she menacingly [[SadisticChoice threats the people of Arcadia to turn over the Tarrons or she would ''kill them all'']].]]

Kubritz's second-in-command.

* AntiVillain: He's nowhere near as despicable, prejudiced, or hypocritical as his superior.
* TheCassandra: Costas tries to repeatedly warn Kubritz that joining forces with Morando is a DealWithTheDevil, but she doesn't listen.
Then his increasing discomfort with his superior working with Morando [[spoiler:eventually pushes him to defect to the Tarrons]].
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:At the beginning of "A Glorious End - Part 1", he defects to the Tarrons to help them defeat Morando and Kubritz]].
* HiddenDepths: Costas has a good knowledge of electronics, [[spoiler:allowing him to help Stuart build the mega-blaster to kill Morando]].
