* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Due to her being a bandit queen who abandoned her daughter in baseline, and a few additional instances of tension between her and other loopers, Raven is one of the more distant of the group. Although she does seem close with [[OddFriendship Kali...]]

* HeroicSelfDeprecation: He hides it well, but Jaune seems to be [[GenreSavvy well aware]] that he CantCatchUp in terms of raw power and skill compared to his fellow RWBY Loopers and even after all this time he still struggled with his feelings of [[TheRuntAtTheEnd being the weak link]], which led to the above mentioned [[BreakHisHeartToSaveHim confession reaction]].

* BerserkButton: Adam, after she saw his true colors.

* ArtificialLimbs: snags one from Winry after she lost an arm on baseline.

* SmarterThenYouLook: Even more so then in canon. Weiss claims she's thought hard about the philosophy of being a hard-partying bimbo, and she occasionally reminds people she has a surgery license.

* SmarterThenYouLook: A common joke is that Sun is an adorable idiot, but he has proven emotionally sensitive and capable of articulating the complexity of the loops.

-> Ruby's partner in baseline and one of her closest and first friends. Weiss is the heir to the Schnee Dust Corporation, which thanks to it's labor practices, is that target of Faunus Supremacist movement White Fang.

-> Yang Xiao Long's partner [[spoiler: slash girlfriend]], Blake's past is, to put it lightly, checkered. [[spoiler: Blake is a former member of the White Fang, but abandoned the organization after she felt that it had become to extreme. This has caused some tensions with Weiss in the past, and does lead to some friction when they are not Awake.]]

* IfItsYouItsOkay: with [[spoiler: Yang, after the emotional wrecking that was her meeting with Baseline Adam.]]

-> Blake's partner and Ruby's elder (and bustier) sister, Yang and Blake started looping at the same time and typically are Awake in the same loops. Yang's primary focus in the loops is using the cyclical nature of time to try and track down her MissingMom, but this has proven to me much harder than she anticipated

* IfItsYouItsOkay: [[spoiler: Blake. Yang is straight, but Blake's her closest friend and they need each other.]]
* LivingEmotionalCrutch.
* MissingMom: her mother, Raven, is not present in her life, excluding one moment where she saved Yang's life. This has led Yang to capitalize on that moment to kidnap her mother back into her life.

-> Leader of team JNPR, partner of Pyrrha (who started looping at the same time as him), and not exactly an action guy. Appears to be oblivious to Pyrrha's romantic feelings.

* [[BreakHisHeartToSaveHim Break Her Heart To Protect Her]]: [[spoiler: He tried to pull this on Pyrrha when she confessed her feelings to him, accusing her of playing a joke on him when he knew she was being honest, and that he returned her affections, because he was convinced he wasn't strong enough to be worthy of her. [[TheyDo Thankfully]], his friends [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan put a stop]] to that.]]

-> Jaune's partner on JNPR, Pyrrha is an incredibly capable girl, but has experienced significant issues with self-expression, most notably with her romantic feelings toward Jaune.

* LossOfIdentity: feared this when she learned that gaining the Fall Maiden's power in Baseline might destroy her looping persona as well. This fear did not bear out though, [[spoiler: because she died.]]
* OfficialCouple: [[spoiler: After several loops she finally confessed her feelings to Jaune and discovered that he returned them, and after an [[BreakHisHeartToSaveHim initial setback]] they finally became a couple.]]

-> Hammer wielding, energetic member of team JNPR, Nora also hides some romantic feelings to Ren, her partner.

* RomanticFalseLead: with Ren. They're friends, but are prepared to wait for confirmation from Baseline.

->Villainous loopers, who have been trying to figure out what has been happening without being discovered or caught.

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Roman and Neo may be violent maniacs, thieves and killers, but they also dearly care for one another, and [[spoiler: Roman's death]] hit Neo rather hard.

* HorrorHunger: Ozpin's initial Fused Loop was manga/TokyoGhoul, leading him to become a half ghoul himself. The change needs to be a conscious decision though, and Ozpin can avoid the cannabalistic desires well enough with Aura.

* OfficialCouple: with Winter.

* OfficialCouple: With Qrow.

->Blake's cat-mom, who was activated by the Tale of Two Sisters.

* ActionSurvivor: Kali Belladonna turns into this during the Tale of Two Sisters. All the other featured non-loopers at least have some huntsmen and huntress training, making them BadassNormal by looper standards. Kali, however, is explicitly stated to be a civilian, only joining in the fight because she couldn't stand not knowing what happened to the rest of her family. By the end of the whole thing she's destroyed a factory, helped kill a vampire, befriended a bandit queen, and become an icon for her people—all within what's implied to be a few hours.

* ActionMom: not on the level of her daughter, but still a Huntress and a leader of a bandit tribe.

* {{EvilFeelsGood}}/{{GoodFeelsGood}}: Both of these turn out to be true for Cinder. The obvious conflict has serious implications for her mental health...

* StealthExpert: Subverted, and Played Straight. Initially Weiss guessed that with Penny Looping he would be the sensible companion to her, and so connected with him. [[spoiler: But Ironwood soon picked up the habit of stealthing if he woke up after the fall of Beacon, due to personal guilt.]]

* CuteAndPsycho: Neopolitan, much like her baseline self, but exasperated by her age, and training from The Joker himself.

* BigBadFriend: Perhaps what best describes Cinder. Cinder is pure evil, deviously pretending to have started her Looping life as Ruby's sister and being informally adopted as such, all the while using her time to gather intel, try and figure out how to take over, and eventually deciding to Ascend and become a Goddess.

* OnlySaneMan: The oldest Looper of Remnany after Ruby, Weiss has come to hold almost inhuman decorum, tolerance, and [[SnarkKnight snark.]]
