[[folder: Golden Age Star Sapphire]]
!!Golden Age Star Sapphire
->'''Homeworld:''' Unknown

A woman of unknown name from an unknown world, this Star Sapphire was chosen by the Zamarons to be their champion years before the Star Sapphire Corps was formed. She was found unworthy, however, and was banished to the Seventh Dimension. Jay Garrick, TheFlash, battled her twice when she escaped. Her connection to later-day Star Sapphires was only made in her third appearance 60 years later.

* DesignatedGirlFight: With all the men banished, Joan and other women tried to fight her, but she used her powers to spin them around until they started to disintegrate from the friction. Jay helped get them back to normal.
* DimensionLord: She's the queen of the Seventh Dimension and has control over all its facets.
* DoesNotLikeMen: She banished all men from Earth, including the Flash, in her second appearance.
* MultiversalConqueror: She tried to take over all dimensions at least twice.
* NoNameGiven: She doesn't have a name, unless her name ''is'' Star Sapphire as opposed to it being a title.
* RoguesGalleryTransplant: In a meta sense, as while she started as and remains a Flash villain the Star Sapphire name became associated with Green Lantern.
* SmugSnake: She's very fond of boasting how her seventh dimension powers make her unstoppable, but is quick to panic when her plans fail.
* TimeLord: One of her powers is control over the fifth dimension, time, which Jay combats with his speed.

[[folder:The Black Widow]]
A one-time enemy of the Golden Age Flash, the Black Widow is Princess Helene. She is a widowed gangster who robbed men, but instead of killing them, her magic wine turned them into animals, which she added to her menagerie. She met her end by drinking the wine herself and turning into a black widow spider, and was promptly stepped on by one of her lionesses.
* TheBeastmaster: She collects exotic animals, including lions, chimpanzees, leopards, and cheetahs.

Not to be confused with the Turtle Man, the Turtle is a foe of Jay Garrick, using his brains and paralyzing gas to slow the speedster down. His gimmick was slow, deliberate planning.

* DeathByIrony: He set the Flash up to die via heated electrons, which would sap his speed slowly if he didn't move and quickly if he did. Jay escaped by twisting enough to send smoke signals, allowing a Junior JSA member to rescue him.
* GeniusBonus: In-universe, his crimes were speed-related ''and'' slow-related, such as stealing a plant that takes 100 years to bloom that was transported on a fast-moving train. It took the Flash a while to catch on.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: His helmet is hard enough to deflect bullets.

to:

** {{Telepathy}}{{Telepathy}}: The primary reason he's a threat to the Flash is that his telepathy operates as quickly as Flash's speed. Coupled with the fact that Grodd's far tougher than a normal gorilla, Grodd is one of the few villains the Flash can't face head-on.

-> '''AKA:''' Amunet Black

A cold-hearted metahuman criminal who runs the Network, an underground black market for supervillains. She has the power to bond flesh with metal, which she uses to surround herself with ebony armor.

* BaldOfEvil: Becomes this as a result of her ExtraOreDinary abilities.
* BigBad: Of the ''Crossfire'' story arc.
* TheBlacksmith: Well, aside from it being her super-villain name, the trope is played with in that she (covertly) outfits the criminals of Keystone City with their weapons and gadgets, and also because of her own ExtraOreDinary powers.
* TheChessmaster: During the aforementioned ''Crossfire'' arc.
* DiabolicalMastermind
* ExtraOreDinary: She has the ability to bond flesh with metal. She uses this to turn her own skin into an ebony metal compound, and to kill the Rainbow Raider by [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice shoving one of his own paintings through his chest.]]
* FemmeFatale
* [[ManipulativeBastard Manipulative Bitch]]
* NebulousCriminalConspiracy: She was running her organization behind the scenes for at least ''15 years'' before it was first brought to light.
** ComicBookTime in effect, of course, since this would mean she's been running it since before any of the current superheroes showed up -- including Green Lantern, who inspired Goldface's tech, which Blacksmith used to start the Network in the first place.

* TheSyndicate: Hers is called The Network. It's an underground black market for super-villains.

A sociopathic bully who's metahuman power activated after he was thrown into a vat of molten steel at STAR Labs. His power twisted his body into one made out of a patchwork of metal, causing him to decide to become a supervillain.

* BlessedWithSuck: His body oxidizes easily and painfully.
* DumbMuscle
* {{Jerkass}}: To the up-most extreme.
* MadeOfIron: Literally, following his StartOfDarkness.
* NeverMyFault: Girder's basic justifications for being a villain are "people did this to me and I don't deserve it," completely ignoring his past crimes.
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: Did this to a female co-worker in his back-story. His fellow workers' retaliation led to him [[NiceJobBreakingItHero getting superpowers.]]

->'''AKA:''' Frances Kane

A jealous ex-girlfriend of Wally's and a metahuman with the power of magnetic field manipulation. Kane's powers and troubled past left her mentally unstable and prone to lashing out, eventually becoming a supervillain after trauma suffered and a rejection from the Flash pushed her over the deep end. After working for Cicada briefly, she became an on-again-off-again member of the Rogues.

* AbusiveParents: After her powers activated, her religious fundamentalist mother believed that Frances was possessed and disowned her.
* CantStayNormal: Even when she tries to live life without using her insanity-causing powers, situations arise that force her to use them and risk going mad.
* ChronicVillainy: See CantStayNormal and WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity. A nasty downside to her powers.
* TheDragon: To Cicada in "Blood Will Run".
* ExtraOreDinary: Technically, she's actually using magnetic field manipulations.
* FallenHero: First she was a hero who sometimes went through odd mood swings. Then she was neutral, realizing she had problems and seeking help, but ended up being taken advantage of which made her issues worse. Then she was an AntiVillain, able to live a normal happy life as long as she kept her powers in check, but violently insane once she started using them. And then she finally fell completely, to the point where her good side barely ever returns any more.
* FreudianThreat: She continually tells Girder that if he keeps hitting on her, she'll tear him in two. When she does, it's a messy enough vertical tear that he's unlikely to have genitals after.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Especially in the 90's, but not so much after the ordeal with Cicada.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: She didn't initially want to be a hero, but Wally pressured her into using her powers. Now that she's a supervillain, in her more AxCrazy moments she sometimes blames Wally for not letting her be normal.
* LoveMakesYouEvil: Initially, Wally's pressuring her to become a superhero pushed her to use powers she associated with her father's death, making her lash out violently. Later, she worships Wally, and kills in his name.
* TheMentallyIll: Magenta really is mentally ill and could seriously use some therapy, but her violent mood swings and powers make it incredibly difficult for her to get treatment.
* TheMissusAndTheEx: She's the Ex in the DidYouJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu situation in Linda Park's entry.
* MoodSwinger: Due to her SuperpoweredEvilSide.
* PsychoExGirlfriend: Although at the core the "psycho" and "ex-girlfriend" parts are separate. It helps her case that she actually has a mental illness to back this up: in the rare cases where she has control of herself, she has no problem not being with Wally and even became friends with Linda Park.
* SelfMadeOrphan: She killed her father by accident when her powers manifested; she later claims to have killed her mother intentionally at some point.
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Magenta, originally her superhero
* TragicVillain
* TraumaCongaLine: The poor girl lost her father and brother when her powers activated and was disowned by her {{Jerkass}} mother soon after.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: Her powers always caused violent moodswings, but they got more and more severe until it turned into a SuperpoweredEvilSide. Eventually she couldn't use them without becoming a supervillain.

He joined up with Blacksmith's "New Rogues" and used the fact that he was [[spoiler:Detective Morillo]]'s mirror counterpart to keep the police out of the picture while her evil plan went into action. Much later, he was killed by Zoom during the "Rogue War" story arc.

* ColdSniper
* GoodScarsEvilScars: Played straight.
* TheDragon: To the mirror-universe Thinker.
* EvilCounterpart: He's a criminal mirror-universe version of [[spoiler:Jared Morillo, a good cop in "our" world.]]

* BlobMonster
* DumbMuscle
* ForTheLulz: He doesn't have big ambitions, and is mostly into supervillainy for the fun of it.

* CastingAShadowCastingAShadow: Shade is at present one of the best, if not the ultimate, channeler of the power of the Darklands, a quasi-sentient, extra-dimensional mass of malleable darkness. He can use it for various effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: he can summon and control "demons", summon and dispel shields and areas of complete darkness, create all kinds of constructs out of shadows, transport himself and others through it over great distances, and can, if necessary, use it as a prison dimension.

* LogicalWeakness: The Shade's powers are somewhat weakened in the presence of flame or bright light, and he cannot use his powers at all if there is no shadow.

Added DiffLines:

* OutsideContextProblem: The Shade's powers explicitly come from a source outside that of supernatural forces such as magic, worked perfectly well when the Genesis event depowered everyone else, and render him immune to being converted into a Black Lantern.
* {{RetCon}}: After ''ComicBook/ZeroHour'', his origin was changed drastically. The Shade was retconned to an English gentleman named Richard Swift, a young man in the year 1838 and [[AntiVillain not so villainous]] after all. The reimagined Shade was so popular he got two mini-series of his own.

Added DiffLines:

* SummonMagic: Although the Shade can use his shadow powers in the form of bolts and tendrils, he has a fondness for conjuring demonic-appearing entities. One of them in particular, Smudge, is a sidekick of sorts.
* ThinkingUpPortals: The Shade's powers let him do this.
* TimeTravel: The Shade's powers let him do this, though it takes a while for him to find out.

[[folder:The Thinker]]
-> '''AKA:''' Clifford De Voe

* AIIsACrapshoot: His current virtual form.
* AmoralAttorney: Well, he wasn't exactly amoral before he became a super-villain; rather, he underwent a FaceHeelTurn when he realized that his efforts to curb crime were doomed to failure.
* BadassInANiceSuit: In his Golden Age incarnation, he wore a business suit as opposed to a gimmicky costume, since he believed wearing costumes was bad luck. However, his Silver Age incarnation and at least one alternate-reality version of him wore a stylized purple and black costume (which was worn by the character in the ''JusticeLeagueUnlimited'' series).
* BaldOfEvil
* TheChessmaster: He specialized in this.
* HeelFaceTurn: Pulled this after learning he was dying from cancer.
** FaceHeelTurn: After his code-form was imprisoned by ComicBook/{{Checkmate}}, he decided to help them.
* KilledOffForReal: At least, his human body underwent this after battling with cancer; however, his mind lives on in computerized form.
* MasterOfIllusion
* MindControlDevice: His Thinking Cap.
* MindManipulation: The main power of the Thinking Cap.
* MindRape: Capable of this with his Thinking Cap.
* SuperIntelligence

[[folder:The Turtle]]
->'''AKA:''' Unknown

A criminal mastermind who, as his name suggests, talks and acts very slowly. Because of this, though, he's best known in stories where he's TheChessmaster.

* EvilGenius
* LegacyCharacter: There are two versions of the character, the second inspired by the first (and who briefly worked for the first as TheDragon).
* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: Originally, his "power" was that he was the world's slowest man.
** HeartIsAnAwesomePower: ...but he later gained the power to "steal" the speed of those around him, rendering them slower than he was. (Also, his body ages ''very'' slowly, befitting the [[TruthInTelevision lengthy life-span of actual turtles]].)
* ManOfKryptonite: His power is tailored to weaken his chosen enemies.
