* RunningGag: The To-Do List keeps updating, growing faster than she can check things off [[spoiler: even with the control programs deleting things it doesn't want her looking into.]]

* ObstructiveBureaucracy: Her job is to assist Alexandra in developing her dungeon but is limited by the God of Fire on what magic she can give her. She regrets not being able to teach her blood magic, even trying to get it unlocked when she needed a regeneration spell but without luck. She also lacks books on terra magic but only because she didn't think she would need to teach it to a dungeon.

!! Crimson Queen
Better known as CQ. She is Alexandra's first boss, as well as her final boss. She was modeled after Alexandra's avatar, only of an average human height. While not originally possessing sentience, she watched Alexandra and Emilia and learned from them, eventually developing the mind of a child.

Originally one of CQ's Palatial Guard that Alexandra used to fetch her items and serve snacks. He eventually became more intelligent and was promoted to her second consecrate boss.

* TheGunslinger: When the Republic's forces breach the dungeon he steals a gun from them to fight back and has taken to using it whenever in a fight.

The A.I. tasked with managing the Sagittarius Imperial installation deep below the Angel Fall ruins. She awakens due to the increase in ambient mana and gains self awareness. She fuses with a kernel of Arcadia and helps run the dungeon.

The new city built around Dungeon Factory in the middle of the Red Sands Desert.

!! Captain Calder Eldmur
Captain of the expeditionary cruiser Alberta and the council's liaison with the city's airships. He is a veteran of wasteland expeditions. Renowned for his fearlessness and 'creative' tactics.

* TheCaptain: He is the captain of the [[CoolAirship Alberta]] and frequently provides air support.
* TheCavalry: Comes with being in charge of air support. He will often provide backup after the battle has started.
* OfficerAndAGentleman: He dresses like a Lorisan gentleman, wearing a top hat and suit, and kissed Allya's hand when they met. While not told she was a noble at the time he seemed to have figured it out.
* OurOrcsAreDifferent: Orcs were originally SuperSoldiers genetically engineered for aggression, though Calder has been nothing but professional if a bit eccentric.

!! Eismi Lorien and Ellyana Lorien
A pair of twin fox girls from New Raleigh. Eismi is an artificer and Ellyana is an alchemist. While they sit on the Rebirth Council, they are New Raleigh Special Operatives.

* AlwaysIdenticalTwins: Allya wondered if they were clones when she first met them. If not for Eismi's prosthesis, she'd never be able to tell them apart if they switched clothing.
* ArtificialLimbs: Eismi's right arm is a prosthetic. We don't know how she lost the original.
* DealWithTheDevil: They make deals with the dungeon in secret. It doesn't hit them until later how much death and destruction they inadvertently caused by teaching her how to make steel. They double down because she is still the LesserOfTwoEvils.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Eisemi has gotten into her fair share of sticky situations, much of which was her sister's fault.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Eismi's [[ElectronicEyes artificial eye]] and [[ArtificialLimbs arm]] is the only way to tell them apart.
* LittleBitBeastly: They have fox ears and tails.
* TeleportationMisfire: While trying to teleport into the dungeon's entrance hall, Eismi finds herself in the R&D lab with golems pointing guns at her. [[spoiler: Downplayed as they were testing the TeleportInterdiction at the time and she found herself the unwitting test subject.]]

The leader of an assassin sect. She is Allya's friend, mentor, and surrogate mother. After Rebirth is founded, she becomes Allya's spymaster, her sect serving as her agents.

* AdoptivePeerParent: She became Allya's mother figure, which seems to have happened in her adult life, following her banishment.
* TheConfidant: Allya trusts her with information she doesn't even tell Pyn.
* TheSpymaster: While not technically trained as a spy, she is a highly skilled assassin and someone Allya trusts. She is tasked with running her intelligence in Rebirth as she has no one else to do it.

!! Adventurers' Guild

!! Eriksen "Erik" Dragonslayer
The guild master of Nardria and Adamantium rank. He integrated Alexandra into the Adventurers' Guild and attempted to protect her from those who would exploit her.

* TheDragonslayer: The name [[ExactlywhatItSaysOnTheTin Dragonslayer]] is apparently well earned.
* ItsAllMyFault: He holds himself responsible for Alexandra's apparent death as he failed to protect her and [[spoiler: he and he alone was the one who molded Lesly into the woman she became.]]
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: While he is still bound by the rules and regulations of the Guild and to a lesser extent the Kingdom, he does his best to prevent people from harassing Alexandra and ups her protection after she was attacked once.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: [[spoiler: He forces his way back into the Order to insure Alexandra's name is recorded and makes it clear to Joachim that he will pay for killing someone under his protection once this is over.]]
* SecretKeeper: He knows Cassissa's true identity and keeps it hidden. He unfortunately had to report Alexandra's existence when he became aware of her, though by that point several people in the guild hall had found out.

!! Starvak Estorius
Guildmaster of Darthar and Adamantium rank. He is a dwarf known for his legendary mustache. He relocated to Rebirth, at least temporarily, to establish a Guild presence there.

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: He was furious when he called Elkaryos after finding out he underwrote the contract to buy the land around the Angel Fall ruins but he started chuckling when he realized Elkaryos didn't know about the newborn dungeon there.
* BatmanGambit: He has tricked more than a few people in his day. After the Jewel unit kills the dungeon guards, he counts on Allya pulling rank so he can get his vengeance while absolving the guild of responsibility.
* DivideAndConquer: He once tricked three armies into fighting each other while he made off with the NLR core.
* TheDreaded: Goes hand in hand with being Adamantium rank, but when the Republic's black ops came to kill Rebirth's leadership and found out he was representing the Adventurer's guild, they question if they even had something capable of killing him.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He frequently makes a fuss about Allya's dealing with the dungeon after he had already made a backroom deal with her to get a section of the dungeon that changes daily to profit the Assault Guild. Allya knows he took Eismi into the dungeon for his end of the bargain.
* NighInvulnerability: Has been seen tanking an insane amount of damage to the point where he would just soak up enemy fire to prevent his allies from being targeted.
* ObstructiveBureaucrat: He blocks taking Old World tech, magical materials, or artifacts into the dungeon other than ones she already produces, though he made an exception so Emilia could contact her family.
* SilentScapegoat: He volunteered to take the blame for [[spoiler: the massive casualties in the battle with the Old World armada, resulting in him being dismissed as Rebirth's guild master. A good chunk of it was his fault as he had abandoned his people to die to prevent the dungeon from taking the Old World flagship for herself, something that was mistaken for a grab for glory.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He takes a hard-line stance on enforcing the Guild's policy of controlling the development of dungeons by trying to prevent Old World tech from falling into the dungeon's hands because he has lived through the United Dungeon Wars and doesn't want those nightmares repeated.
* YouOweMe: He loaned Allya a force field trap to Allya when she needed it in exchange for a favor. Volumes later when he has no other cards to play he calls it in to make Allya block letting the dungeon salvage from the battlefield.

A guild clerk at the Nardria branch and Silvarium ranked. She was the first person at the guild Alexandra spoke to after arriving on the planet.

A young Guild attendant of silver rank and Cassissa's junior. She was originally seen in Nardria but transferred to Darthar after Cassissa's disappearance. She then transferred to Rebirth and became the Guild representative to Allya.

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Eriksen likely knows what happened to Cassissa but hasn't told her about it or even that she is safe.

The leader of the Assault Guild in Rebirth. He is tasked with exploring new sections of the dungeon, which includes the labyrinth that changes daily.

* ClosestThingWeGot: Darthar doesn't have much need for the Assault Guild, so when it came time for his first delve into Dungeon Factory he had to take who he could get his hands on, many of whom weren't trained for this.
* LightningBruiser: He is faster than one might expect for someone wearing such heavy armor, able to take down several opponents before they can take three steps.
* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: He looks more like a typical dwarf than Starvek, having a long beard instead of an epic mustache. He wears plate armor, swings an axe, and is clearly no stranger to a hangover.
* WeaponSpecialization: He uses a double-sided axe in battle.

[[folder: Alexandra's Original Party]]
When Alexandra revealed herself as an extra-dimensional, Guild Master Erik put her with a party to protect her and show her the ropes until she could be strong enough to protect herself. Raika was the party leader, with Alyessa the cleric, Fernand the alchemist, and Tomas the ranger. [[GuestStarPartyMember Cassissa]] had also joined them for a mission.

* Flight: They can all fly thanks to Sonya's enchanted equipment and have enough proficiency to fly indoors without hitting anything.

* TechnologicallyAdvancedFoe: The Order has retained as much of the Old World technology and has recruited many extradimensionals over the centuries. This gives them a significant edge over other groups and even outshines what Alexandra was able to salvage from the surface ruins. However, they still can't take the church in an even fight and hides in the shadows.

* DidntThinkthisThrough: She admits she wasn't thinking after she hits on Baroness Allya and her girlfriend shortly after meeting her. It put their infiltration at risk.

!! The Asarian Kingdom
The largest and most populous nation on the Arkan continent but also among the least advanced.

The duke of the city of Asaria and the king of the Asarian Kingdom.

* KingIncognito: In his youth, he had traveled as an adventurer fighting monsters.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: He cuts out some of the bureaucracy by making Rebirth a principality. This reduces the burden on Allya at a time when she needs everything she can get.
* RescueRomance: He fell in love with the woman who would become his wife when she saved him from a monster he had no business fighting. For her it took four years for him to even convince her to date him.

!! The Western Marches
Officially a duchy but boasts a population of a million souls. Vampires make up the ruling class.

Emilia's mother and Duchess of the Western Marches. She is renowned for conducting a blood ritual that killed a hundred thousand soldiers.

* AmazonBrigade: She has her own NinjaMaid squad, one of whom is armed with a mini-gun. Sarah and Ella are among its members.
* BloodMagic: She is even more skilled at it than her daughter, once slaughtering an entire village to fuel a spell to take out an army.
* DotingGrandparent: While initially irked by CQ calling her daughter Mommy, she soon starts spoiling the girl, using Sarah and Ella as proxies.
* IWantGrandkids: Or more grandkids. While she accepts CQ as her granddaughter, she starts putting pressure on Emilia to produce some more.[[note]]Emilia is her only child who has a partner.[[/note]]
* MamaBear: She swore if she ever found out who tried to kill her daughter she would turn their entrails into a scarf, the neutrality of the Marches be dammed.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: She is called The Blood Witch of Hartown and Harvester of a Thousand Souls for a reason.
* TwerpSweating: After CQ calls Alexandra and Emilia Mom and Mommy respectively while on a call with Eternia, she demands to talk to Alexandra immediately.

Emilia's maids, having served her mother and taken care of her since before she was born. Sarah is also a direct action combat specialist and Ella is an assassin and counterintelligence specialist.

* BladeEnthusiast: Ella keeps several shape implements on her person at all times.
* DestructiveSaviour: Sarah once [[WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged "Went for a walk"]] that resulted in a quadruple murder and fifteen thousand mana in property damage to stop a robbery several blocks from where she was supposed to be shopping. Alexandra could still see the blood on her fangs.
* DisproportionateRetribution: When a guard got a bit hands-on with Sarah she left him in six pieces. Alexandra had to bring him back to life and pay him off to defuse the situation.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Sarah boards on SociopathicHero at times but even she couldn't stomach watching [[spoiler: the teleport redirect trap turn the spec ops teams]] into paste.
* LickingTheBlade: Sarah likes to lick the blood off her blade but has the sense not to do it in the middle of combat.
* MasterPoisoner: Sarah clocks a lot of hours in the chemistry lab coming up with new poisons and delights in using them.
* NinjaMaid: Both serve as maids but they are also vampires and highly trained soldiers.
* TooImportantToWalk: Subverted. Ella starts getting carried around on a palanquin or a wheelchair with spider legs, giving this impression. [[spoiler: In reality, she has had trouble walking after undergoing BodyHorror and just lets people think that. Played straight when she keeps doing so after recovering.]]

!! Eris Empire
The largest nation on Alcheryos, ruling over half the world by population.

!! Cassissa Lumière
Posing as a Guild attendant named Cassissa Elaria, she is a princess of the Eris Empire and sister of the current Empress. She was under the protection of Eriksen Dragonslayer until she was captured by the Void Blade and The Order, who quickly turned her over to her homeland to avoid retaliation on the matter. She was then placed under house arrest.

As a guild attendant, she was Mythril rank and was on duty when Alexandra first came in. Not believing she was from another world at first, she was soon tasked with protecting her. [[spoiler: She was also saved by Allya and befriended her. She attempted to pair her and Flora together only for it to end in disaster.]]

* BoomerangBigot: She initially frowns upon hearing that Alexandra's last name is Rousseau, a common surname in the Eris Empire, as people from the Empire tend to think they are better than everyone else. She later turns out to be an Imperial princess, though her explanation may have been a cover to hide the fact she could be recognized.
* TheBusCameBack: She disappears after the prologue and is not seen or heard of until chapter 149.
* GildedCage: After getting captured and almost killed, she is put under house arrest in the palace. Outside of limited staff and family, she is only able to meet with potential suitors.
* HiddenBackupPrincess: Sort of. She is in line for the throne, albeit remotely, and goes to another continent under a different name but it was a life she pulled for and her family wasn't thrilled with the idea.
* IOweYouMyLife: Allya once saved her life. She still thinks of her as her savior.
* KingIncognito: To allow herself a chance to grow free from the influence of her family, she takes a job as a Guild attendant on another continent and changes her last name. Alexandra had no idea when they met.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Rebirth was pretty big news but she was unaware that Allya had her own principality.
* ModestRoyalty: She looks like any other Guild attendant when we first meet her, not a sign of her imperial status.
* MyGreatestFailure: Trying to pair off [[spoiler: Allya and Flora]] ended with [[spoiler: Flora's]] death. She still regrets how that turned out.
* RebelliousPrincess: She wanted to cultivate her magic free from the influence of her family. Posing as a guild clerk on another continent required her to pull a lot of strings and leverage Erik's reputation. When that went badly her sister locked her in a GildedCage and only allowed her to meet potential marriage partners. This prevents her from further cultivating her magic. [[spoiler: After Allya sends her a WarpWhistle she starts using the contentions she still has to look into it and subvert her sister's authority.]]
* ShipperOnDeck: She once tried to pair off two of her friends who had crushes on her. That didn't end well.

!! Archduke Ostrar Armik
An archduke of the Eris Empire and father of the late Flora. He seeks revenge for his daughter's death.

* OutlivingOnesOffspring: His daughter was killed before the events of the story and he seeks revenge.
* PragmaticVillainy: As much as he wants Allya dead, he wants his head to remain attached to his body. He will call off assassins and take his time to ensure her death can't be traced back to him. He also won't go through the merchant guild because Sseth will do more than just kill him if he has her killed that way.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveConnections: Despite the imperial family's decision on the matter, he still seeks to have Allya killed and uses his friendship with Silvart Montuart, as well as a sizable amount of mana, to have Autonomous Threat Removal Bureau kill her until that method becomes too risky. He then explores other options.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: We only see him in one chapter so far but he is the reason why Allya had to leave the Empire and her motivation for building a dungeon town.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: We don't see much of him before he and the Bureau disappear from the story. [[note]]WordOfGod says he caught flack for having too many different POV characters early on and pushed him to the side until he becomes relevant to the main plot again.[[/note]]

!! Mercenaries
[[folder: The Void Blades]]
The second group of mercenaries hired to kidnap Alexandra for the Order, capturing her and enslaving her party. They are led by the neonite Assaria Novalka.

* BattleHaltingDuel: After Alexandra splatters Melinda, Assaria stops the assault on her and challenges her to a one-on-one duel, offering to let her and her friends go if she wins. By that point, Alexandra had killed most of their best fighters, so if Assaria couldn't beat her, nobody would.
* BrainUploading: Assaria's mind has been uploaded to a neonite body, which could be mistaken for power armor.
* ButtMonkey: A lot of Melinda's time is getting killed by Alexandra or recovering from getting killed.
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: Alexandra likely pissed off Assaria when she killed Melinda but she needs her alive and unharmed to collect her payment from the Order. She even stopped a soldier pointing an SMG at her.
* EliteMooks: They are a lot more powerful than most other soldiers or mercenaries Alexandra or Allya have to face.
* ExplosiveLeash: They lock bracelets with soul-sealing enchantments on their slaves.
* FantasticDrug: They have Fernand making magic potions but some of the lower-level guys pay him on the sly for narcotics.
* InsistentTerminology: Assaria insists her men call the slaves 'logistical support'. Justified as [[spoiler: the local Baroness will likely kill them if she finds they brought slaves into her city.]]
* KickTheDog: Assaria hates fire mages and ensures Alyessa doesn't get her arm back, even taunting her with it by keeping it in a stasis pod.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: Alexandra makes sure Melinda's second death sticks.]]
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Because they aren't in on the Order's plans, they didn't know to [[spoiler: stay away from Rebirth.]] The Order considers having them killed because of it.
* LudicrousGibs: When Melinda cuts off Alyessa's arm, Alexandra sends her into the ground at Mach 5. Her teammates take a moment to wipe her off of themselves.
* NumberTwo: Melinda is Assaria's second in command.
* OhCrap: Assaria gives off rapid-fire nos after realizing her team just knocked out Imperial Princess Cassissa Lumière. She quickly points her out to Joachim who has a similar moment.
* PragmaticVillainy: They don't kill those they defeat when they can enslave them.
* SetSwordsToStun: Assaria wreathed her sword in a stun enchantment and forcefield. It was the only thing that could knock out Alexandra without frying parts of her implants.
* TheWorfBarrage: Assaria [[NoSell tanks]] Alexandra's strongest spell to date in their duel.

[[folder: The Scarlet Swords]]
A group of mercenaries with a less-than-honest reputation. They were secretly hired by the Republic to attack Rebirth. They are led by Commander Gothram.

* BringMyBrownPants: Some of them literally shit themselves when [[spoiler: Gift's dreadnought shows up and blasts their artillery.]]
* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler: They return in volume 6 after getting imprisoned in volume 3.]]
* CavalryBetrayal: [[spoiler: The Sunrise terrorists free them from prison to bolster their numbers during the insurrection. This results in the terrorists getting quickly overwhelmed once Gothram betrays them to side with Allya.]]
* ClosestThingWeGot: When [[spoiler: Sunrise]] was plotting their attack on Rebirth, they wanted [[spoiler: the Void Blades]] but they were inaccessible so they settled for the Scarlet Swords.
* GovernmentExploitedCrisis: Senator Charles makes a backroom deal with them to attack Rebirth on their own after they failed to pass the background check to be hired by the Republic. The plan was for them to occupy the city until Rebirth could come to ''liberate'' it. They would then surrender the city and it would be brought under the Republic's control while the mercenaries are paid loads of mana.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Gothram legitimately considers Allya's offer but [[spoiler: gets tricked into attacking anyway. He has to surrender when Gift shows up with his air fleet.]]
** After seeing what Allya and the dungeon are capable of [[spoiler: he realizes trying to occupy or escape the city is suicide. Instead, he sides with Allya and surrenders after killing the terrorists who freed him.]]
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Attacking adventurers and the merchant's guild caused powerful warriors to [[NeutralNoLonger retaliate]]. This naturally made their invasion much harder. [[spoiler: As it turns out, this contradicted Gothram's explicate orders.]]
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: While they [[spoiler: side with Allya and saved Pyn]] they still attacked the city and a lot of the residents are mad at them. They aren't able to stay in the city.
* PunchclockVillain: They have nothing against Allya or the dungeon, they were simply paid to invade the town.
* UnwittingPawn: While they are hired by the Republic for a shady job, they don't realize they are set up as decoys.

[[folder: Grant the Giant]]
A legendary mercenary. While not particularly skilled in combat he is a master of logistics and can lead his forces to victory more often than not.

* {{Irony}}: The King hires in to protect the kingdom with the back taxes he strong arms out of Sunrise when he tells them he doesn't have the resources to protect both Sunrise and Rebirth without more funding. [[spoiler: When Sunrise launches their coup, Grant is the biggest obstacle to them taking over the capital.]]
* PrivateMilitaryContractors: More so than other mercenary groups. He leads a full-on army and has his own flotilla of airships, protecting kingdoms that meet his price.
* ScrewTheMoneyIHaveRules: While he is expensive you get what you pay for and he will refuse all bribes. His officers are similarly incorruptible.
* TheStrategist: He is hired more for his leadership skills than his skill with the sword.

!! The United Dungeon Council

!! Laria of the Golden Gates
A young member of the UDC. She has become concerned with the recent trend of inaction in the UDC and the boldness of the mortals against dungeon cores.

* CommonalityConnection: Her dungeon advisor is Emilia's aunt, giving them an indirect line of communication.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: While the UDC votes against helping Alexandra, she and a few others go behind their backs to give her aid and slip her information.

!! Gift of the Promise Dungeon
One of the oldest dungeons and is the representative of the Elder Faction. He rarely speaks at the meetings but when he does the others listen.

* BewareTheQuietOnes: He rarely speaks at meetings but nobody is willing to argue with him when he does and for good reason.
* TheCavalryArrivesLate: Zigzagged. He kicks his ships into high gear when he receives word that the Republic has used another illegal disruptor and is invading the dungeon but by the time he gets there ''Alexandra'' had already blown up her own dungeon to kill the invaders. He was able to stop the Scarlet Swords and dig Emilia and the maids out of the rubble.
* TheDreaded: He is capable of taking on and beating an Erisian Sky Armada of 100 with his own fleet. Everyone in the UDC respects his power.
* EveryoneHasStandards: He has seen what the death of the dungeon advisor will do to a dungeon and would not wish that on even the dungeons he hates the most.
* TheDreadedDreadnought: His personal flagship is a dreadnought with cannons the size of houses.
* LastOfHisKind: He is the last of the original generation of dungeons, crafted by the God of Fire himself.

!! Beings on other worlds

!! Arcadia
An EFSN A.I. tasked with maintaining the logistics. She is also Alexandra's ex-girlfriend.

* BenevolentAI: She is technically [[EccentricAI crazy]] but has helped advance Earth's development and enabled them to venture into space.
* TheGhost: Alexandra talks about her quite often but she has never appeared and likely never will.
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: She was just a logistics A.I. but became responsible for countless advances, including FTL travel.
* {{Sexbot}}: She likes to date and would use sexbots as bodies when getting intimate.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: She is only part of Alexandra's backstory but developed hyperspace travel, which caused several ships' worth of people to become lost on Alcheryos, including Alexandra. The Sagittarius Empire would never have existed otherwise and Alcheryos wouldn't be what it is today.

!! The God of Fire
The God who returned to Alcheryos following the Great Night and ushering in the Dawn of Flames. He is credited with restoring Order to the planet and authored the Edicts of the God of Fire, enforced by the Custodians of the Flame.

* TheGhost: He departed Alcheryos 6,500 years before the start of the story, with his followers left behind to enforce his will.

A Mythril-ranked party of women who are often called upon when a dangerous quest must be dealt with quickly. Their members include Pyris the paladin and leader of the team, Sonya the sorceress, Arinka the armored vanguard, and Ellyris the ranged fighter. The four of them were called upon to investigate Crystal's new dungeon.
