Like the other two who died at the same time, Mackenzie was intentionally placed by Rodcorte in a position to come into conflict with Van.

Unfortunately, due to Rodcorte's scheming, he is reincarnated as a child of one of Vandalieu's "enemies," meaning his hopes of avoiding Van is sabotaged from the start.

** The first is that Amamiya Hiroto destroyed her life's dream and ruined most of her close relationships by announcing to the public that she had a special ability, which she publicly claimed was just a charm based ability. She acknowledges she deserved it a little, but since her dancing and singing were genuine and she wasn't brainwashing anyone this was a little harsh. Plus, again, ruined what she'd worked her entire life for.

* InformedAttribute: The story says that she's reformed without actually showing any evidence for it. Other characters [[LickedByTheDog vouch for her]] but by her own admission she's still fundamentally self centered and doesn't feel like she'd behave any differently if push came to shove.

* PartialTransformation: Gains low level shapeshifting abilities as a chaos elf. This allows her to alter her skin color to pass as a dark elf, or generate insect wings on her back to allow for limited form of flight. However, it doesn't allow her to completely change her appearance or body structure like a mimic or slime.
* PowerTrio: Forms a three man group with Doug and Melissa on Lambda.
* RetiredMonster: Is perfectly content to once more live out her dream of being an idol, despite demonstrating little to no remorse over her betrayals or the people who died because of her attempts to get there again. However, the gods consider her reformed even if she doesn't and the narration goes so far as to retcon her established backstory to make her less unsympathetic.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveSupernaturalPowers: Zigzagged. In Origin, she tried to further her idol career by first copying other performer's work into her own brain, cultivating a few dedicated fans and then copying those fans impressions into the minds of new audiences. She had to quit thanks to the Bravers organization forcibly recruiting her, which became a sore point for her. In Lambda, Van is fine with letting her be a performer as he uses her concerts as propaganda pieces preceded by sermons on Vida's church. It's not clear if she's still using her powers on the audience, but either way she seems happy about just dancing and singing on stage.
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: She, Melissa and Doug separate from Murakami's group with the intention of joining Vandalieu as soon as they reincarnate on Lambda. They think there's absolutely no chance of beating him and if they just try to hide he might think they're plotting against him, so they think the safest bet is just walking up to him, explaining themselves and joining him. To make sure he would give them a chance she signals that she was not involved in the attack by Konoe even as he's trying to stop Van's heart.
