He still averts the trope PoliceAreUseless by being overall supportive and non-obstructive to the Brave Express Team despite being constantly beaten by criminals with more advanced robots.

* ItsAllAboutMe: She's [[GreenEyedMonster immensely jealous]] of Might being all rich ''and'' loved by the people. So she tried to imitate Might's gestures in contributing to charity by playing "[[JustLikeRobinHood Robin Hood]]" -- as in "robbing from banks, convert them into pennies, spitting mountains of those pennies to the public who doesn't even want them, if they don't want them, she'll destroy people's properties and just give each person 'one penny,' ''and forcing people to thank her in return''." Getting the whole concept wrong on so many levels without knowing it was her own problem all along.

* PhraseCatcher: Everytime he deployed the Great Might Gaine, those who are unfamiliar with it will say "So is that the reputed Great Might Gaine?", in which Might responded with "Yes, that's correct!"

* EnemyMine: PlayedWith. His loyalty is [[spoiler:just for himself or actually Black Noir's]]. However, in his debut, he pretends to have teamed up with Might Gaine to defeat [[spoiler:and take over Hoi Kow Loon's group]], [[AllPartOfTheShow managing to make it look like part of a staged team-up show, thanking Might and Might Gaine and allowing them to respond to the audience's cheering]]

* {{Expy}}: Like several of the show's other villains, he's based off a ''{{ComicBook/Batman}}'' villain: in Joe's case, he shares his rival status, playing card motif, and hair color with the Joker.

* NobleDemon: In his very first fight against Might, when he saw his ally take Sally and Tetsuya hostage just so he could destroy Might Gaine for Team Wolfgang, Joe shot his friend instead, allowing Might to save the two. He might be a hunter after Might, but he does not like dirty tactics.

* KnightOfCerebus: Joe is the only antagonist that is taken seriously, makes Maito questions his philosophy of justice and has a shot in beating him, as opposed to other antagonists whose schemes were rather daily kind of crimes or silly. That is, until an even bigger one came in form of Exeve, but Joe still has no time for silliness.

* [[SpiritedYoungLady Spirited Lady]]: Moeko may look masculine with a hammy tone of speech, but her personality is feminine, and would gladly stop her bickering when her authority (Might) comes in to question and or take care of things.

* [[spoiler: ShootTheHostage]]: [[spoiler: Catherine Vuitton invited herself to rob The Senpuuji Mansion's bank vault, and presumed Might wouldn't dare to harm his savings. But as it turns out, ''Might doesn't care,'' ordering Might Gunner to blast the vault, letting all his gold drain to Catherine's devastation. It turns out Catherine's the one who wants Might's gold all to herself, so Might proceeded in giving Catherine the finishing blow and burned all the savings in that vault to dust without a blink of an eye.]]
