The next leg, despite being incredibly close to finishing, they decide to switch Detours since it's taking them too long to finish. The only reason they survived was by a stroke of good fortune that their tuk tuk driver circumvented a red light.

* GenreSavvy: At the lotus tying Roadblock, Greg tied one bundle annd used his first one as a reference for the second if the first passed. He also listened to everyone else's feedback and incorporated it into his bundles, something not all the Roadblock completers did.

!Andrea Simpson and Malaina Hatcher
College friends Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Engaged couple from New York City. Despite being in good shape, their lackadaisical attitude towards the race, treating it more like a vacation made them middle-of-the-road racers. They finished the Roadblock in a reasonable amount of time, which allowed them to take up the last spot at the painting recreation Detour over Todd & Ashlie. This is a decision they would come to regret as they would struggle on the fine details to the point that even Morgan & Lena, who switched Detours would leave the Detour before them. In a rickshaw race to the mat, Joe & Ian passed them, but Morgan & Lena's driver knew a path that would allow them to circumvent a long red light, eliminating the couple in 10th place.

Married Entrepreneurs from Albuquerque, New Mexico. They start out strong, winning the first two legs. Upon hitting the Vietnam double leg, however, the duo would ultimately struggle at several points, with both the Paper detour and the Matchmaker roadblock costing them their spot at the front of the pack and, ultimately, the race, causing them to finish in 11th.

Mother and daughter from Tampa, Florida. They got off to a rocky star and finished near the bottom of the pack in leg one which didn't change come Leg 2. Already at the back of the pack, they screwed up at the Shop It Detour when they didn't pay attention and grabbed the wrong ingredient. The time it took to correct this mistake doomed them, resulting in their elimination in 12th.

Siblings & Roommates from Chicago, Illinois. Both were shown to be uncoordinated and rather poor with directions rather quickly. Them getting the second flight and then struggling with the Sword Play detour doomed them to becoming the first team eliminated.
