* CigarChomper: As shown in the above image, Gomez spends a lot of scenes smoking cigars, even when he's on his head practicing his Zen Yogi poses. While the expensiveness of the habit does reflect the Addams' absurdly large amount of money, the aggressiveness usually implied by the trope usually doesn't come into play, as [[PerkyGoth Gomez]] is one of the more genial and less intimidating members of the family.

(According to the 1991 film, he started smoking at his mother's insistence when he was five years old.)

There is no indication that Wednesday and Pugsley have ever met Fester before, only that they have heard of him. In fact it is clearly shown that when Fester went missing 25 years ago, it was right after the debutante ball, where Gomez and Fester are portrayed as teenagers, and Gomez has not met Morticia yet—so there is no way the children would have met Fester, and no reason to believe they did know him beyond Gomez having talked about him a lot. Also, Fester is stated to have been born in 1947, and Gomez is stated to be the younger brother, so he's not older than he looks either (and is in fact younger than Raúl Juliá was at the time of playing him). Calpurnia being—presumably from the surname—Gomez's father's sister only suggests that Gomez's FATHER is hundreds of years old.

* OlderThanTheyLook: In ''The Addams Family (1991)'', Morticia mentions that Wednesday's great-aunt Calpurnia was "burned at the stake in 1706"; for Calpurnia to be Wednesday's great-aunt, she has to be an aunt of Morticia/Gomez ''implying one, or possibly both of them, are over two hundred years old''. And, of course, both Pugsley and Wednesday know of Fester, who's been ''missing for twenty five years'', implying they are old enough to remember him, putting ''their'' ages in the thirties.
