* DraconicHumanoid: Nylocke's character is a "Dragon Man". He won his Dragon Man character by being the [[MythologyGag 111,111,111th player]] to register to play TOME.

* CompositeCharacter: Combines the original Rubyrulz's charisma, personality, status as graphic designer, and abilities with the original EXE's role and villanous intentions. Several aspects of other TTA villains are incorporated into his character as well, such as Anidoug's desire to use technology to improve the world and status as Alpha's EvilTwin (although in TOME, Rubirules is only a recolor of Alpha for a short while). Rubirules also manages to incorporate elements of [=DarkEyesOfAnubis=] - TTA's true BigBad and Mastermind - into his character, due to the fact that he is (directly) responsible for the Dragon Bug's creation and (indirectly) responsible for Kajet, just like [=DarkEyes=] was.

* MythologyGag: When Rubi eventually goes OneWingedAngel on Alpha during the final battle, he turns into a recolor of Alpha's Season 2 design, bringing [[EvilTwin Phaxal]] to mind. Also the symbol he uses for the D-buggers chat also resembles EXE's third eye from the original TTA, and by extention, Execk's which fooled fans of TTA into thinking TOME followed the same villain plotline.

* TheSociopath: Lies, manipulates, hurts, [[MoralEventHorizon and even attempts murder]] [[EvilIsPetty just so he can watch Flamegirl suffer.]]

* AdaptationalVillainy: In the original, she was solely a protagonist, and at the very least disapproved of Zetto's involvement with the Hackers. Quite the opposite here...

* TheSociopath: Lies, manipulates, hurts, [[MoralEventHorizon and even attempts ''murder'']] [[EvilIsPetty just so he can watch Flamegirl suffer.]]

* {{Griefer}}: Of all the hackers, he fits this description best, for his taking amusement in relentlessly annihilating, groups of common players.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Trusted [[GreaterScopeVillain Rubirules]], [[ManipulativeBastard Neomutant]], and [[Jerkass ''Odboll'']] with their plan to destroy the virus. Yeah.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Not only did she and Zetto fully trust [[GreeaterScopeVillain Rubirules]] when he proposed his plan to "destroy" the virus, they also trusted [[ManipulativeBastard Neomutant]] and [[Jerkass Odboll]] with their plan to make it work, which nearly led to Flamegirl's death.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Trusted [[GreaterScopeVillain Rubirules]], [[ManipulativeBastard Neomutant]], and ''[[Jerkass Odboll]]'' with their plan to destroy the virus. Yeah.

* BitCharacter: Appears in only one scene of one episode so far, with a grand total of four lines.
* OutOfFocus: As of episode 7 he hasn't had a speaking line or even been mentioned for 4 episodes, since he was introduced in episode 3. He was also absent from the supporting character poll. (but Niosi said on his twitter that this was because there wasn't enough room)

** MyGreatestSecondChance: He attempts to swallow his pride and apologize to Doubling[=/=]Skeight but changes his mind and sees Archy being bullied by Odboll, he then steps inand saves him and offers a hand to Archy.

* AntiVillain: Subverted. Does seem to genuinely care about Flamegirl, and appeared to turn on D-buggers when they turned out to be hurting people. But it turns out much of his actions were planned to trick the main characters, and he was motivated by spite. In episode 15 however, he becomes a straight up Villain.

* ActionGirl: She resents Ravenfreak and Neomutant for suggesting she should be protected, and she can clearly kick anyone's butt as well as or better than any of the boys, as shown in the episodes she's focused in. She seems to be more skilled than Alpha in particular due to playing the game longer than he has.

* {{BadAss}}: Easily an equal to Nylocke and GC. If not better.

* TheChick: She keeps, the group together, and the boys in line. She's the moral center of the group. She cuts Kirb down a peg, when needed, brings Nylocke down to earth when he's too into his roleplaying, and helps Alpha learn about TOME, due to his inexperience.

* {{Badass}}: Due to his doing anything to win, his willingness to throw himself into danger to act as a barrier to shield his friends, and taking on enemies much larger than himself head on.

* ConservationOfNinjutsu: A lot of the time this is the reason for GC's {{badass}} moments. The show likes to pit him against multiple minor characters at once, which so far he's always gotten the advantage in combat ability from.

* {{Badass}}: Given his big speech in episode 06, and his standing up to the BigBad. Definitely.

* ActionGirl: She may prefer the social networking side of TOME but she's definintely capable of kicking your butt.

* {{Badass}}: Shows unrivaled skill during his first appearance in episode 5. His CurbStompBattle with Alpha in demon form indicates he's this.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: [[KickTheDog Destroys two random players]] and mocks how they weren't strong enough to be worth his time.

* ActionGirl: Can surely hold her own in a fight and keep up with some of the strongest players in TOME.

* TomboyishSidetails / TomboyishPonytail: They emphasize her toughness, and ActionGirl traits.

* FieryRedhead / RedHeadedHero: Loud, very passionate, strong and positive. with an outgoing personality, and strong interest in good and heroism. Also a bit of a motormouth sometimes.

** RedHeadedHero: Has red hair that makes him stand out, and he's the hero as noted above, however, his hair color has nothing to do with his personality.

* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Yes, Serpentine ''does'' sound a lot like TimCurry, doesn't he?

* OperaGloves: Wears fingerless black gloves that go up to elbow length.

* OperaGloves: She wears long black gloves that cover her arms.

* OperaGloves: Both Anneva and Foreva wear one black and one white glove on each arm that reach up to their elbows. Seem to be just for looks, as it goes with their Yin Yang theme.

* OperaGloves: Wears gloves up to elbow length. Seems to be just a fashion statement.

* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: Regarding his plot to destroy the virus when it came to hiring people to get it out of Alpha when he could've simply been upfront with him to begin with.

* ObnoxiousSnarker: [[ScreenName Kirbopher]] is a really loud, snarky, and [[GrumpyBear irritable]] SourSupporter. Especially when the team is fighting against the hackers, which he thinks is a waste of time.
** WordOfGod says this character trait is based off of other people's impressions of [[TheDanza the creator]], Chris Niosi, who like to portray him as loud and angry all the time.

* ObnoxiousSnarker: He's very snarky a lot like GC, but he was more likely to have loud, angry outbursts while doing it. His anger was played a lot for humor.
