* GenreBlind: You would think that such an AscendedFanboy such as Erik would know better than to completely trust anyone (especially when everyone else is in an alliance). Upon his elimination, he even notes that he should have known better.

* ManipulativeEditing / NiceCharacterMeanActor: According to the other fans, he was arguably the most unbearable and obnoxious person on the tribe. This did not seem to make it to the cameras until near the merge, when it caught up to him.

* FromNobodyToNightmare: Parvati was the replacement for [[Characters/SurvivorCookIslands Candice Woodcock]], who declined the chance to play on this season in order to finish medical school. She was considered one of the [[QuestionableCasting most controversial casting choices]] due to her lack of notoriety, with it being somewhere along the lines of [[Characters/SurvivorTheAustralianOutback Amber]] being cast for ''[[Characters/SurvivorAllStars All-Stars]]''. Everyone expected her to just be another pretty face. Boy, were we wrong.

* GenreBlind: You would think that an AscendedFanboy such as Erik would know better than to completely trust anyone (especially when that someone is suggesting that he hand over his ticket to the Final Four). Upon his elimination, he even notes that he should have known better.

* HumiliationConga: The producers delight in turning his final Tribal Council into this; they don't even bother to pretend there's any suspense in who's going out and instead show every single vote (with Parvati gloating over how dumb Erik is, Cirie busting out a BadassBoast, Natalie thanking Erik for the necklace, and Amanda just sort of dumbstruck with amusement). To make matters worse, James outright ''laughs'' at his decision to give away the necklace, and after Erik's voted out James actually speaks up (which jurors are not supposed to do unless prompted by Probst) to make a joke about no longer being the dumbest Survivor ever.

* LastOfHisKind / TheOneGuy: Pre-merge, he was the only Fan left on the post-switch Malakal tribe. Post-merge, he was the only male left after the Black Widow Brigade took control.

* TooDumbToLive: He actually agreed to surrender his immunity at Tribal Council, which ironically was a scenario that played out on the second season of ''Series/TheApprentice'' a few years earlier. The results for both were the same, and it shouldn't take you long to figure out what happened.[[note]] This actually led to production going ahead and showing all the votes in the voting hut and the tribemates' comments prior to Jeff reading them, and it showed Erik getting the most to drive the point home; this editing otherwise only really happens on a few season [=DVDs=] and never on an episode's original airing. [[/note]]

* KingmakerScenario: The votes were cast 5-3. Natalie and Alexis both loved Parvati, Cirie felt betrayed by Amanda, and who knows why Jason voted the way he did. Meanwhile, James was best friends with Amanda, Ozzy was obsessed with her and Erik wanted to see what happened if there was a tie. If Eliza voted for Amanda, there would indeed have been a tie, but she gave it to Parvati.

* RedHerring: Her getting sick in the early episodes seemed to have solidified her fate. It has nothing to do with her eventual elimination.
* TakingYouWithMe: "If that's fake, then Ozzy must have the real one."

* CloudCuckoolander: She sometimes makes strange comments (see InnocentlyInsensitive below) and is a even bigger ''Survivor'' fangirl than the otheers, resulting in her coming off as somewhat eccentric.

* TheLoad: The only reason he survived as long as he did was everyone wanting to use him as a [[ThePawn pawn]], which Mary, Mikey, and Joel could not be.

* NiceGuy: One of the more patient contestants this season.

* TheBigGuy[=/=]TheBrute: The reason Ozzy chose him was to counteract James, who had been Natalie's pick.
* JerkassWithAHeartOfGold[=/=]EveryoneHasStandards: Downplayed, as the show wanted to build up to his animosity against the older tribe memebers, but he wasn't fond of how Mikey B called the shots and immediately ostracized the older people. In his own words, when he turned on Mikey B, he would rather three people who were weak in challenges than one chaos maker.
** He recalls that Jason would blow up on Chet for something and he calls Chet over to just ignore Jason because he sucks.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Despite multiple opportunities to kick Chet out and keep the tribe strong, he opts to kick out Mikey B because of his personal dislike of the guy. Come the swap, he's still partnered up with Chet and even loses a challenge he had to drag him along. This isn't to say this is Chet's fault either, because he was actively hampering his commands during a challenge.
* OutGambitted: By Cirie and Tracy.
* ShadowArchetype: to James. Both Joel and James are the ''Hulk'' casting archetype.
* ThePlan: His plan to get rid of Mary so he can undercut Mikey B's influence.
* TheStarscream: Was not pleased by Mikey B and his attempt at leading the tribe.

* FalseFriend: Mikey B attempted to invoke this against Joel but failed.
* ICouldaBeenAContender: In any other season, the duo of Mikey and Mary would have done fine - in the Fans tribe, he was outdone by the rest of his tribe wanting to pull off big moves, especially Joel and Tracy, who were especially threatened by his scheming.

* OutGambitted: By Joel.

* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Jon, Jonathan and Ozzy.

* SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome: Elimination in this case. Cirie pulled one over on him quite early into the game by convincing Parvati to vote Yau-Man out in exchange for joining her alliance.

* CharacterDevelopment: A massive douche in his premiere season, comes back marginally more mellow and as a loving father.

* GameBreakingInjury: There's speculation that he didn't quit to be with his pregnant wife, but that he was still suffering after effects of an injury he received from Danny Bonaduce at the Fox Reality Awards a few weeks before the season started filming.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He quit to be with his pregnant wife.

* MauveShirt: Literally and figuratively.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Jonny Fairplay

* TheAce: Cirie was great socially and the primary jury threat. Parvati was also good socially and somewhat decent at challenges. All of these applied to Amanda as well, which made her a very big target and is one of the reasons why the brigade considered voting her off at sixth.

* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: While this is consistent in all of her appearances, Micro was the only season where her eye's lack of natural shine is directly referenced, when Natalie makes a cruel comment accusing her of being simple-minded because of her sleepy eyes.

* MortonsFork: The Final Immunity Challenge. If she loses, there's a chance that she won't be taken to FTC and she'll be the season's Fallen Angel. But since she won, the person whose name she wrote down wouldn't vote for her because she felt hurt.

* TheChessmaster / TheStrategist: This is best exemplified by her spearheading the Joel boot. Joel and Ozzy agreed that they would vote off Chet because of challenge strength. However, if Chet was the precedent for challenge strength then ''Cirie'' would be the next to go. So she went around hyping Joel as a power player, and pretending that it would be best for the tribe when, in reality, it was best for her. Thus, she retains the Fans vs Favorites mentality and made it to the merge.
* DiabolusExMachina: All of Cirie's plans revolved around getting in a tight enough group that would bring her to the Final 3, which everyone assumed would be the endgame as it was how the show had culminated in the previous three seasons. When it was revealed in the finale that ''Micronesia'' would instead revert back to a Final 2, Cirie knew that her chances to win had been shot, as Parvati and Amanda had a closer relationship with each than with her and it was clear that Cirie was a big jury threat.

* MyGreatestSecondChance: Finishes a place higher than she did in [[Characters/SurvivorPanama Panama]] playing a more aggressive style against tougher competition.

The only time she wore the necklace on her neck was when she tricked Erik into giving it to her.
* OutOfFocus: Only for the first ''ten'' episodes.
* ShadowArchetype: to Parvati. Both Natalie and Parvati are the ''Femme Fatale'' casting archetype. Natalie talked about flossing her teeth with Jason's jugular.
* ShipTease: Quite a lot with Parvati as the near the endgame. Aside from her famous FTC, Parv gives her a kiss after Erik gets blindsided.

* {{Troll}}: Admits that she was always going to vote for Parvati and her entire Final Tribal appearance was just to make everyone feel incredibly uncomfortable.
