* SpotlightStealingSquad: The members of Tika that make the merge have much higher confessional averages than the other contestants, albeit this is somewhat justified due to their large losing streak in the pre-merge and their dominance of the game in the post-merge.

to:

* FatalFlaw: His inability Insecurity. He admits to make fire like the others was what screwed him being insecure in the end.finale, and if you look back on his gameplay, it can singlehandedly be rooted as the cause of his failures. Despite proving his intelligence, he clearly cared more about looking smart than being smart. Rather than go for the obvious theory that Carolyn took the idol, he instead [[HanlonsRazor tries to read people's body language and assumes his closest ally took it and votes her out]]. Despite fully acknowledging the fact that he stinks at fire, he doesn't work on that and instead tries to show off other facets of his game, such as making challenges at home to practice.

* HonorBeforeReason : *Twice* at the final 6 he is given the option to vote out Carolyn, and while he seriously considers it due to Carolyn percieved threath level, he decides to stay loyal to his Tika alliance and vote out Jaime instead. Then at the Final 4 he helps Carson practice his fire so he could at least fight his spot at the final 3, this may be considered a dumb move considering Carson could had potentially beat him at the final 3 but his friendship with Carson is strong and he does want Carson to be able to fight for his spot at the final 3.

* BookEnds: Her first and last confessionals involve her conversing with a producer. She even lampshades it.
-->'''Carolyn (in Day 26)''': Remember in Day 1 when you interviewed me?

* IAmWhatIAm: Much of her story in the game is about embracing her authentic, kooky self in the present after what she went through in the past and blending that with her gameplay as both an emotional and strategic player.

* OvershadowedByAwesome: She is proven to be an authentic player with a combination of great reads with strategic and emotional gameplay. However, Yam Yam swayed the jury a lot more in Final Tribal Council and allowed all of them but Danny to vote for him to win over her and Heidi (whom Danny voted for)

* CassandraTruth: The day after Kane's voted out with her fake idol, she reveals what became of it to the tribe. No one believes her. She repeats the truth at the next Tribal Council, and the tribe looks at Kane for proof, who couldn't say anything due to the jury not being allowed to speak.

* BookEnds: His first Tribal Council has him saved by a successful idol play. His last Tribal Council has him eliminated by a successful idol play.

* DecidedByOneVote: She was vote out by Brandon's sole vote as everyone else sacrificed their votes, and she and Kane's votes were negated by the former's idol.

* ChekhovsSkill: At the of the reason, Carson mentions that he practiced some Survivor puzzles at home via making replicates with a 3D printer. Come the merge episode and he clenches it for his team (earning them buffs and immunity) because the puzzle was one of the ones he practiced.

* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Probably even more so than Carolyn and that'ssaying something. She foolishly believes her fake idol is real, gets paranoid for no reason, and is generally a bit nuts.

* BigBadWannabe: Danny was convinced that he was a genius player running the game, especially by buying into the theory of indicidual players voting together in blocs, which caused him to target members of his own tribe. Unfortunately for him, he failed to realize that this was a tribal loyalty season, and was taken out the moment he decided to target the dominant alliance, showing just how little power he actually had.

Added DiffLines:

* WrongGenreSavvy: Were this a season like ''Cambodia'', Danny assuming everyone was voting in blocs would have most likely brought him to the finals. However, this was actually a season with a heavy focus on tribal loyalty and the second he tried targeting the dominant alliance, he was gone.
