* BreedingSlave: {{Downplayed}}. She was pressured by Fangpire to mate again to produce thestrals with the sonic blast, but she did get to choose her partner and she only had to give birth to one child. Still doesn't make it anything less revolting though.

* MamaBear: She and her sons uses their Sonic Blast on Fangpire when he about to kill Rogue.

* PoisonousPerson: Like all other Batponies, he has a naturally occurring poison. However, due to a birth defect, he ends up poisoning himself, which was why he tried to steal Applejack’s apples to try to cure himself.

* OfficialCouple: [[spoiler:He and Applejack becomes lovers at the end of "Nightmare Night".]]

** In the latter, after the Tree of Harmony produces the mysterious box and everyone else leaves, Luna stays behind for a moment and notices a small grove in the Tree of Harmony that wasn't originally there when she and Celestia first took the Elements of Harmony from it. This alludes to [[spoiler:Springer's birth, since his egg was put inside the Tree of Harmony long ago to hatch when it was safe, and he only recently hatched following Nightmare Moon's defeat]].

* AdaptationalBadass: [[spoiler:In the canon, he's a Royal Guard but in this continuity, he's a potential Royal Knight.]]

* HeroicBSOD: After he loses to Electra in their first encounter, due to not understanding how water conducts electricity, he begins to think maybe he isn't cut out to be a soldier anymore, since he lacks what is common knowledge in this new time period and sees how many powerful ponies are now around when in the past they would be considered a rarity. Thankfully though, Flash convinces him not to give up on himself and to learn from his mistakes and try again, With Magnus taking what he has learned and using it against Electra in a HeroicRematch.
* IChooseToStay: Once the Pony of Darkness is defeated, Magnus finds himself lost on how to integrate into Equestria after disappearing for over a millennia. However, after helping Flash save a village, he decides to stay there and act as their new protector, finally finding a new purpose in life.

* FromZeroToHero: Despite coming from a long line of successful unicorn, capable of being traced back to Starswirl the Bearded himself, she started out very unremarkable. She ended up dropping out of the Manehatten School of Magic, which her father was a teacher at, because she couldn't meet their expectations. She became a showmare and traveled from city to city, boasting about her great "abilities", or outright lying in some cases, in order to [[WellDoneSonGuy get the praise her father never gave her]]. Her life eventually changed for the better when she met and befriended Flash, which eventually led to her becoming Princess Luna's personal student.

Applejack's little sister and one of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

* AdaptationalDumbass: She's more explicitly impulsive here. While her decision to consume Zecora's brew in "Cutie Pox" was reckless, she never received any warnings about consuming it, so it could be argued that she was just unaware of the consequences of her actions. In this series, she receives numerous warnings from Springer about how it could be dangerous and how it could have side effects due to being incomplete, yet Apple Bloom still consumes the brew anyways.
* TheAtoner: Despite being sent away by Flash during his search for Zecora, she disobeys him and follows along because she feels that her earlier trailing of Zecora caused the rest of the Mane Seven to come into contact with the Poison Joke flowers and thus she blames herself for their conditions, so she's dedicated to reversing her mistake.
* HideYourChildren: Although she wants to witness the Royal Knights and the Mane Seven in action, she's sent away someplace safer, usually supervised by another non-action adult like Trail Blazer and Misty Veil.
* UndyingLoyalty: To the other Cutie Mark Crusaders. This is best demonstrated when Scootaloo is attacked and stung by a Scorpentine, but while Cheerilee and the other foals flee, Apple Bloom stays by Scootaloo's side with Sweetie Belle, even though Scootaloo is too heavy for them to carry.

* AmbiguouslyRelated: When Flash Sentry shares with him how his father's side of the family claims they can trace their family roots all the way back to Flash Magnus, Magnus initially believes this to be impossible since he claims he never had kids. However, Magnus does remember he had a special somepony named Sparkling Effervescence, and confirms he slept with her the day before he and the others faced the Pony of Shadows and were trapped in Limbo. He and Flash Sentry both theorize that Sparkling could have gotten pregnant from this and had a kid, who then continued the bloodline. Magnus starts to think after this that maybe he and Flash are related after all.
* IChooseToStay: After he and Flash Sentry defeat Electra and Banshee and save the village the two criminals were attacking, Magnus decides to stay in the village permanently to defend it from any future threats instead of going back to Canterlot with Flash.
* DisappearedDad: It seems likely that ''he'' was one himself. He confirms that he slept with his girlfriend Sparkling Effervescence the day before he and the others were trapped in Limbo, and if she really did get pregnant from this event, it means he wasn't around for the birth or life of their child.

* TheLoad: He was the most useless member of the Young Six during Flash's exercise to rescue a burning building's occupants, barely doing anything to help his teammates and putting in the bare minimum effort to the few tasks he actually did.

* NoodleIncident: Apparantly, Yona is given a bigger room than the others because there were "mishaps" when she was given a normal-sized room.

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: During the Young Six's first training exercise with Flash, Silverstream tries to get buckets of water to put out a flaming house and save the occupants. Instead, she gets distracted when she jumps in the lake and plays in the water, wasting time.

* KidHasAPoint: Heart calls out Script for not accepting apologies from Grand by calling him a brat, Script doesn't deny it.

** Fire Heart become this when Shining Soul gives him a power boost in ‘’Courageous Burning Heart'', allowing him to use fire magic.

* OfficialCouple: [[spoiler:It is revealed in "Jakhowl-Day" that he and Rainbow have been dating since Rainbow's time at the Wonderbolt Academy, but have kept it a ScretRelationship due to not wanting anyone to think Rainbow is getting special treatment. They go public at the end of the chapter after Springer discovers them and encourages them to come clean.]]

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: When he has to work with Cold Steel in ''War of the Lost City''. Cold Steel hardly respects Soarin and constantly belittles him as a mere stunt pony, which creates a tense relationship between the two. Eventually, both are chosen to fight in ''The Trials of Teamwork'', in which both are in conflict with each other, until both work together to defeat Terror Card and Storm Blade.

* ADayInTheLimelight: The season 7 premiere gives her a focus role. She is revealed to harbor some jealousy towards her big brother Flash Sentry, thinking his accomplishments and celebrity status overshadow anything she could do and make it impossible for her to live up to him. She later plays a major role during the battle with Mecha-Heather, discovering her weakness and stabbing her in the chest to save her family. She later reconciles with Flash after the battle.

** During the season 7 preimiere, she's revealed to harbor some jealousy towards Flash Sentry, thinking that his celebrity status constantly overshadows her. The two reconcile after they take down Mecha-Heather and Flash reaffirms his appreciation for her.

* ItRunsInTheFamily: When Shining Armor finds out at the last second that Flash and Twilight are now in a relationship and admits he had no clue they felt that way about each other, Cadance angrily uses her magic to [[EarAche pull him by the ear]] and drag him away while calling him a Meathead. Everyone else is left to think that it runs in Twilight’s family.

* AdaptationalIntelligence: Played with since she is still a BrainyBaby like in canon, but she shows a few signs of being slightly smarter than her canon counterpart. When she sees Pound and Pumpkin fighting over a toy at Sugarcube Corner, instead of trying to solve the problem by breaking the toy in two so they can share she puts them both in a soundproof bubble to stop their crying until Springer finds another toy for them, though this is also supported by Flash and Springer helping better than Twilight and Spike did in the same scenario. Also, while in canon she communicated entirely through gurgling and giggling until she was SuddenlySpeaking in the Season 9 premiere, here she is shown attempting to speak much sooner, when she tries to say Flash and Springer's names several times, calling them "Fla" and "Spree".

* BrainyBaby: Her family boasts how she is surprisingly smart for a foal her age. Shining Armor shows them an example of this by saying colors to Flurry Heart and she points to someone that is that color, like pointing to Thorax when she hears "Black" and to Shining Armor and Fancy Pant's manes when she hears "Blue".

* BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu: Fire Heart is ultimately the one to defeat Void during ''The Movie'', using the Link Gems and Master Gem that Solid Script created to combine their powers with his own and defeat Void's superpowered state. But he ends up using so much power that he accidentally destroys the Master Gem, and leaves his right leg horribly injured with all the fur from his hoof to his knee burnt away. First and Heather later tell him while bandaging him up that he needs to hold off on using his fire magic for awhile, or else his wounds might never fully heal.
