* FantasyForbiddingFather: He casually admits to Sadie that his parents never supported his musical ambitions to point of never even attending any of his shows. Greg averts this with Steven, even when learning what Steven goes through causes him extreme distress.

* ShedTheFamilyName: Greg discarded his family name, [=DeMayo=], at some point and legally changed it to "Universe". While it's implied he may have done this for stage name purposes and so on, Greg's relative reluctance to talk much about his family implies he was not all that close to them (heck, his first interactions with his cousin Andy become an argument, albeit for understandable reasons.)
