* EveryoneHasStandards: Roche is an unsympathetic hardass, but he's still infuriated to discover that Oz has been dealing in drugs and sexual extortion. He's also the only one objecting to the Folgers and the Jackboots variously humiliating Layton when [[spoiler:the surrender happens]].

* BreakTheHaughty: After abandoning the brakemen in the revolution, his efforts to convince the Tail and Janitors that Wilford's return is an opportunity fail and the latter force him to do manual labour.

A 40 wagons long train, and the original prototype test-bed for the Perpetual Motion Engine used by the Snowpiercer. The train has been commandeered by Mr. Wilford himself, who turns out to still be alive, and really, ''really'' pissed off.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: The train appears at the end of Season 1.
* SuperPrototype: Big Alice is equipped with features that allow it to forcibly connect to Snowpiercer and override its systems. Even when the latter is severed, it still has the engine power to act as a giant anchor for Snowpiercer, effectively allowing Big Alice to freeze out Snowpiecer whenever they want, [[spoiler:until Melanie sabotages the docking clamps and permanently fuses the two trains together]]. It's suggested that Mr. Wilford had it retrofitted over the years to aid in its ability to capture Snowpiercer.
