* AxCrazy: He was planning on a viral catastrophe in both the United States and China out of spite, murders an entire cruise liner of people and wants to end the world to rebuild it in his own image. By the time he's fully fighting Bruce and Ling, he's all but hunting them down to explicitly murder them like an elegant stalker, and it's pretty clear that once his plans started falling apart he went super unhinged.

* {{Expy}}: Of Sephiroth, given his white hair, black longcoat, and connection to the series' bio-engineering experiments.

* PayEvilUntoEvil: The sheer spite Morpheus had for Umbrella led to him stealing their research and promptly wiping out one of their cruise liners. A ship that was basically filled with executives and big spenders. One petty man that would've gone under their radar wiped out the top brass of the company in the midst of the lawsuits that Umbrella was facing from every corner, making Morpheus a strong case of {{Irony}} in probably being one of the major deathblows to Umbrella once and for all.

* AntiVillain: Despite working for [[EvilInc Umbrella]] to cover up incriminating evidence and the threat he and his unit pose to [[TheHero Ark]] and others inhabitants of the island, there is no personal or malevolent motive for it to him, he and the Cleaners are only there to clean up the mess [[BigBad Vincent]] made, and he does succeed in keeping the outbreak from spreading beyond Sheena Island.

* AntiVillain: Despite working for [[EvilInc Umbrella]] and the threat he and his unit pose to [[TheHero Ark]] and others inhabitants of the island, there is no personal or malevolent motive for it to him, he and the Cleaners are only there to clean up the mess [[BigBad Vincent]] made, and he does succeed in keeping the outbreak from spreading beyond Sheena Island.

* ArchEnemy: The final possible one, and in his case, only by virtue of coming to clean up the Sheena Island incident during the time Ark is on the island.
* BadassNormal: Has no powers or advantages of the B.O.W.'s and is the lone commander of the Undertaker Unit cleaning up Sheena Island. Makes it to the end of the game on the infested island, and in two of the endings likely survives the experience.

* EvilGloating: In the ending involving him. He takes the time to mock Ark and voice exposition [[WhyDontYaJustShootHim instead of simply shooting him]], costing him his own life.

* LeaveNoWitnesses: He and his unit start out just going to the island to kill everyone normally. When Ark's meddling makes that more and more difficult, he sets the self-destruct to take out the island entirely.

* NoNonsenseNemesis: Averted. It looks like he will be in one of the endings during the final confrontation, he responds with a terse 'whatever' when Ark points out who he is. But instead of gunning down Ark then and there, he proceeds to start forward while engaging in some EvilGloating, and is himself slain by a Tyrant before he can shoot Ark.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Only appears by voice and in one of the ending cutscenes where he is killed, but is the Commander of the Undertaker Unit that raids Sheena Island and sets off the explosion that contains the outbreak.
* ThisCannotBe: Says it dramatically as he gets killed.

* OhCrap: Ling drops a live grenade down by Bruce and Morpheus. Bruce sees it and runs for distance despite the gun at his head. Morpheus sees Bruce seeing it, wonders if he's being duped, then sees the grenade himself -- and just turns right back to Bruce looking like he just shit his pants in terror at what's about to happen, in probably the most hilarious moment in the game.

Andy Holland was a loner who Umbrella hired to work in the sewers of Sheena Island. He became even ''more'' of a loner there due to the cruelty of Vincent Goldman. Unfortunately for Ark, he happened to pose as Vincent in front of Andy before the outbreak started, leading Andy to try to kill him.

* AntiVillain: He thinks killing "Vincent" is the right thing to do, which the man probably deserves for all his atrocities, but Andy's target just so happens to be Ark.

* CaptainErsatz: of [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil2 Ada]].

* MyCountryRightOrWrong / UndyingLoyalty: Downplayed, She was to the Chinese government and China as a whole to the bitter end untill they decided to throw her to the wolves.

* InTheirOwnImage: His ultimate goal is create a world based around his own ideal of beauty and elegance. In order do this, Morpheus wanted to destroy the world as it is now, which he sees as cold, ugly and unworthy of saving.

* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: After being fired, Morpheus was determined to gain revenge on the Umbrella Corporation. With the help of a gang of loyal followers, he stole several T-Virus samples and a t+G-Virus sample from Umbrella's Paris laboratory and constructed an underground missile silo beneath an abandoned Umbrella facility. After these preparations, Morpheus caused a T-Virus outbreak aboard an Umbrella-owned cruise liner and publicly declared that he had missiles equipped with the T-Virus aimed at both China and the U.S.A., threatening to launch them unless a ransom of five million US dollars from each country is paid.

* ShockAndAwe: Somehow, as a result of the cocktail of the t and G viruses he injected himself with.[[note]]This is explained by supplemental material. The t-Virus generates electrical energy by destroying cells - enough energy to reanimate corpses into zombies and to make certain organ systems redundant; however, it also uses the host's own cells as "fuel" for the reanimation, leading to rot. The G-Virus both improves this ability to the point that the host can produce electricity by destroying its own cells; and provides the HealingFactor necessary to counteract the cellular damage.[[/note]]

* UnknownRival: Unlike Vincent and Andy, Ark never meets the UT Commander until it's time to finally escape the island, and then the Commander is impaled by the Hypnos-T.
