** With the turrets, at least, this is possibly {{justified}}: Aperture Turrets "fire the whole bullet" via a spring launcher, which is most likely less damaging then being shot by a normal bullet. But then again, getting shot does leave blood splatters on the walls behind her.

The main difference is that AM is a genuine RealityWarper, while GLaDOS is simply the MasterComputer of the entire facility.

* InformedFlaw: [=GLaDOS=] refers to him as "the product of the greatest minds of a generation working together with the express purpose of building the dumbest moron who ever lived." While Wheatley is certainly questionable in the brains department, his actual batting average in terms of good ideas is hardly zero, and even [=GLaDOS=] grudgingly compliments him for occasionally coming up with surprisingly clever plans. His actual issues are more to do with personality flaws, such as his egotism, impulsiveness, and refusal to give up (which could technically be considered intelligence, but usually aren't). Then again, the same people who designed Wheatley to be a moron also designed [=GLaDOS=] to not flood the facility with deadly neurotoxin...
