In ''Pikappa'' she's still a droid, but not from the future. The closest ally to Paperinik after One, and the female lead of the series.

* GenreSavvy: Xadhoom is aware that the Evronians only bother fighting her when they think they have a weapon or trap that can affect her. She is also well aware that it doesn't matter what the Evronians do; they just can't do anything to her, nor can anyone else, hero or villain, for that matter.

* GuileHero: Especially in the early stories he was much more prone to trick and out think his opponents than outpower them. Even in the series, while lacking the raw intellect of [[ArtificialIntelligence One]] or [[GeniusBruiser Xadhoom]] he is still smart enough to come up with plans of his own and quickly get a hang on the situation.

* HeroWithBadPublicity: Downplayed. He's viewed negatively by some people in the city, thanks to Angus Fangus, and later other reporters, but most people think he's a hero.
* IAlwaysWantedToSayThat: Used jokingly with a variation of a cliche line.

* TimeMachine: Like all the droids of the time police, she has one.

* WrittenInAbsence: In "Metamorphosis", Lyla is absent during the award ceremony for the best journalist of the year, despite being on the list of candidates. It is mentioned by Angus Fangus that she's at the moment doing work out of town for the news channel.

* VillainTeamUp: [[spoiler: With Morgan Fairfax and Nebula Faraday.]]

* LesCollaborateurs: [[spoiler: The alien fanatic would eventually end up one of the key players in the resurrection of the Evronian Empire, and would hold authority even over generals.]]

* PurpleisPowerful: Especially with her new outfit in the 2014 relaunch.

* MyFavoriteShirt: His trenchcoat. In one story, a [[ItMakesSenseInContext killer robot from a toy factory]] ruined it to recover evidence against his creators: at the end of the page, Angus had wrecked the robot with a baseball bat.

* TokenMinority: He's a Maori. And a literal kiwi.

* PintSizedPowerhouse / LittleMissBadAss: One of the shortest female characters in the series (usually, depends on the artist). She's highly skilled both in close combat and weapons, and was once a member of Seaducks, a Navy Seals expy.

* BadAss: Can easily holds his own against many opponents. He's also the one opponent Paperinik could ''never'' defeat in combat.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: According to the notes on his sketch in PKNA #0, he should have come from prehistory. When he was finally introduced, his origin had become completely different, which may explain why it took more than a year before its proper introduction.

* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: He is very skilled in various fields.

* ThouShaltNotKill: From "Might and Power" he is completely against taking a life, even if it would be for the greater good. Any apparent death he may have been somewhat involved in, he has shown regret for it going that way. In one of the issues in the reboot, it actually looked like for a moment that he was gonna kill a man, and the events of the story would have given him reason to do so, yet it turned out that he was only putting on an act and still honoring his code of not killing anyone.
