* MultinationalTeam: Overwatch recruits talented individuals from all over the world and were even willing to open their ranks to Omnics and sapient non-humans. Its founding members included two Americans, a German, a Swede and an Egyptian. It eventually grew to include a Swiss, an American, a gorilla from the moon, an Englishwoman, a Japanese cyborg, and a Chinese. That's not counting the non-playable characters, who represent even more nationalities.

* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Organization-wide. We don't know what their motives are, but most of their actions seem to point toward [[ForTheEvulz wanting the world to burn or just to plunge it to chaos]] with no discernable motivations, because that's what [[TerroristsWithoutACause terrorists]] do, and what concerns people is what effect they bring to the world, such as the damages their members (Reaper and Widowmaker) do to the world. This may change in the future, however.

* TheBadGuyWins: When the story started, Talon has already won; they were uncontested in spreading terror to the world since the Overwatch was dissolved (which was indirectly caused by their actions of sending Widowmaker on that mission that destroyed Ana), they came a long way since being constantly thwarted by Gerard Lacroix (who was only defeated by Talon turning his wife Amelie into Widowmaker and then kill him while sleeping).
* BigBadEnsemble: Talon is one of the two main oppositions of the game, opposed by the Overwatch and its members. The other 'main opposition' is Vishkar Corporation, which has its own goals, but didn't mingle with Talon's operations with Overwatch.

* FantasticRacism: They apparently hate Omnics, which is the most likely reason they assassinated Mondatta and there doesn't appear to be any Omnic members.
* {{Foil}}: Surprisingly... ''to the [[CorruptCorporateExecutive Vishkar Corporation]]''. Talon's ColorMotif is blacks and reds, while Vishkar's is white and gold. Both engage in horrible, horrible actions, but Vishkar has deluded itself into thinking that it's [[TheNeedsOfTheMany for the greater good]], while Talon has thrown all forms of subtlety out the window and openly indulge in every single evil deed under the sun (and possibly more).

* GenreSavvy: At least one Talon in "Recall" has something of a brain. When Winston triggers Primal Rage and grabs the electric cables holding him, one of the mooks wisely drops his rifle unlike his cohort who is whipped around by the gorilla for still holding onto his weapon.

* StunGun: The Talon agents sent after Winston in "Recall" have rifles fitted with electrified cables. The group surround Winston and tether the ape to shock him into submission. Winston was able to use said cables to his advantage by thrashing around anyone still holding onto their rifles.

* LightIsNotGood: Their main colors seem to be white and gold. Also a very morally ambiguous and corrupt corporation whose practices would've quickly resulted in their immediate arrest and termination if done in real life.

It began life during the Omnic Crisis, where a colossal Omnic ravaged their country after emerging from the East China sea. First they used drones as means to combat it, but as the Omnic adapted and each fight would end in a stalemate. As a result, they were forced to use actual pilots who could fight the Omnic and hopefully win. They turned to drafting professional gamers, who possessed the reflexes necessary to pilot the machines, in order to battle the Omnic. As a concession, they allowed the pilots to customize their robot suits and broadcast their battles live. Hana Song, better known as D.Va, is a member of this unit.

A [[PrivateMilitaryContractors private security firm]] that's currently assigned to protect the Temple of Anubis. Ever since Anubis, a "god program", broke containment, they were sent in to shut the program. After losing their leader Captain Khalil, they managed to successfully shut down the AI. Personnel were stationed at Watchpoint: Grand Mesa to protect the site. However, they were attacked by an unknown assailant (Solder: 76) and had a pulse rifle stolen from them. There were no casualties, however. Fareeha "Pharah" Amari is the lieutenant of this faction.

A group of Omnic monks from the mountains of Nepal, they formed after the Omnic Crisis. After many years of mediation on the nature of existence, they came to the realization that, like humans, they possessed the essence of a soul. Under the lead of Tekhartha Mondatta, they sought to heal the wounds between humans and Omnics caused by the Crisis through peaceful methods. Sadly, their leader became the target of Talon, and Widowmaker was sent out to assassinate the leader while giving a speech in King's Row -- [[TheBadGuyWins she was successful]]. What has become of the Shambali since then remains a mystery. Tekhartha Zenyatta was once a member of the group..

* EqualOpportunityEvil: They seem to hate Omnics, but outside that they allow anyone of any race, gender, nationality, and creed into their ranks. Their two representatives so far are Reaper and Widowmaker -- a Latin-American and a Frenchwoman respectively.

A troublemaking gang based on Dorado, but saw activities in Hollywood as well. They harbor resentment towards the Mexican government for somehow 'leaving them behind' and retaliated by sowing terrors throughout the area. They're also incredibly racist towards Omnics. One can say that they can be a lesser version of Talon.

They were put on highlight somehow when they attempt to coax a young girl named Alejandra to join in their Omnic-hating spree, but unfortunately ran afoul the vigilante Soldier: 76, who proceeds to single-handedly savage them for their overall crime spree. They only managed to run away safely after [[SadisticChoice tossing a grenade that could have killed Alejandra, forcing Soldier: 76 to abandon pursuit to protect her.]]

* ALighterShadeOfBlack: Surprisingly, despite being the more ObviouslyEvil between them in Vishkar, they are a step above them in terms of morality, if only barely. At the very least ''[[AtLeastIAdmitIt they are honest]]'' about what they're doing, while Vishkar deludes itself into thinking that everything they do is for the greater good.

* CoDragons: Reaper and Widowmaker appear to be this to whoever is leading Talon.

Jesse [=McCree=]'s former faction, a hoverbike gang from Southwestern America dedicated to stealing military hardware and selling it to the highest bidder.

* HufflepuffHouse: They're long since defunct by the current events of ''Overwatch'' and serve little importance overall. The only real purpose they serve is to give [=McCree=] backstory.

* HateSink: Gets hit with this trope over time due to hiding their [[{{Hypocrite}} hypocritical]] KnightTemplar attitude behind good promises and shiny technology, especially after Lucio's backstory and the comic short "A Better World" was revealed. It really says something when ''Talon'', an evil terrorist organization that rivals Vishkar in horribleness, is liked more by fans than the latter.

* FantasticRacism: These guys think battering up a defenseless and wounded Omnic is a good time.

* SadisticChoice: Which managed to save their hides, they should be grateful that Soldier: 76 still has the hero within him or else they would have been dissolved that instant.

* CorporateSponsoredSuperhero: Despite being a state-owned military organization, their pilots seem to be sponsored by snack and game companies and regarded as celebrities. This is probably due to retaining star power from their pro gamer days and the MEKA unit needing all he cash they can get.

* DirtyBusiness: Some of Overwatch's prominent agents like Ana came to regret their more sinister actions.

** Alternatively, if ''Mercy'' is to be believed, the fall of Overwatch was inevitable due to its militaristic nature. Overwatch was funded primarily to fight threats, ''not'' to heal the conflict and the destruction it causes, and while it achieved many advancements in science and discovery, at its core, Overwatch (and in particular Blackwatch) still tried to impose MightMakesRight, using assassination, coercion and torture to get the job done.
* FallenHero: The organization itself - once hailed as heroes and defenders of freedom, liberty, and justice - as a whole. While they were well-intentioned, the darker things they did behind the scenes turned public opinion against them irrevocably.
