A Tenganist settlement existed at the town of Argyros in 1850, as seen in ''The Firestorm Rebellion'', but in the modern era the Tenganists are a dying people targeted by Ghetsis's genocide plot. The few that remain have gathered around a mysterious woman calling herself a prophet and forged an alliance with Team Rocket to wage terrorist attacks against Polaris as a last stand.

A mysterious woman acting as a figurehead for the remnants of the Tenganist people. Not much is known about her except that she has a young child (probably less than a year old) and is somehow connected to Ghetsis, Anthea and Concordia, someone in Matt's group and (now) Pierce.

!!Kratos
A hero who lived five thousand years ago, he was originally from Michina in northern Sinnoh, but traveled around the world to spread the wisdom from the Life Orb. He was involved in the battle that destroyed Argyros Town originally and was the one who used the Life Orb to seal away Zoroark, however, his wife Pandia was the first sacrifice.

* MemeticMutation: Her depiction is the result of this. Early in the life of 4chan's Pokemon board /vp/ (which was around the time of the release of the ''Heart Gold and Soul Silver'' games) a post describing ... interesting things Lyra did with Ethan's Quilava became widespread. This idea of Lyra's psychotic nature also helped give rise to "{{Yandere}} Lyra", in which she brutally tortured and killed rivals for Ethan's affection in ways that would make [[Manga/MiraiNikki Yuno Gasai]] blush. Both of these things appeared in her chapters - she has a Typhlosion (Quilava's evolved form) that she feeds hamburgers to similarly to the Quilava post's story, and she was seen drinking a strawberry milkshake in a direct reference to "Milkshakes," one of the most infamous Yandere Lyra stories.

* TheUntwist: Matt's group immediately figures out that she's the Cafe Diva as soon as they meet, even though Lyra tried to hide this fact from them.

* IDontWantToDie: In possibly the most heartbreaking scene involving her yet, she confides in Matt that she has nightmares she believes are showing her her own death.

A notorious serial killer in Kanto. She is known for completely sanitizing the scenes of her crimes, leaving behind nothing but the victim's mutilated body with a kiss mark in their own blood on it, hence the name.

* KissOfDeath: It's only her namesake, after all! She got it from her calling card of leaving a bloody kiss on her victim's lips.
* SerialKiller: Appears in the very first chapter of ''The Angel of Reckoning'' with quite a profile.

He has, however, resurfaced recently, doing research on the Meteonite for the Angel Corporation.

Matt and Amanda's late grandfather and a legendary archeologist. Matt often idolizes him, yet expresses a wish to live outside of his shadow.

An archeologist who once worked alongside Sutter Chiaki as his assistant. More recently, Matt had a rather nasty encounter with him, which left the younger Chiaki bitterly damaged both mentally and physically.

He is, like Bunny, a guest character from Bay Alexison's ''Nothing, Everything.''

* DirtyOldMan: When he sees Matt's companions, especially Nekou, he takes a rather creepy interest in them. He openly admits that it's because he hasn't seen women for years while in prison.
* TreacherousAdvisor: He finally appears in person in "Sweet Little Lies," where Matt and Nekou must speak to him for information. He claims not to be evil anymore, though.

!!Lysandre Flordelis
A wealthy industrialist from the Kalos region, known for his philanthropic endeavors using the profits from his corporation, Lysandre Labs.

* AffablyEvil: When he meets Matt, Nekou, Olivia, Bunny and Monroe, they are immediately put off by his intimidating appearance. He then proceeds to engage them in a surprisingly fair-minded conversation about Polaris and taking action for the good of the world.

However, he has a dark secret - despite not remembering being so, he is the prince of Team Plasma, and therefore Ghetsis's son. Ghetsis has sent the Shadow Triad to capture him, as he is vital to Ghetsis's plan.

Once the powerful villainous team that held Kanto and Johto in the palm of their hand, Team Rocket has been reduced to a struggling group few in number. Despite this, they now fight to defeat Polaris, who stand in their way of rising again.

Tropes that apply to the entire organization include:

* MeaningfulName: Specifically, the mission they undertake to combat Polaris, Operation Atlas. They literally have the weight of the world on their shoulders, because if they fail and Polaris wins, the world won't be the same again.

Rude, profane, and more than a little selfish, Nekou Langley is a woman encountered by Matt and Olivia at the Indigo Plateau early on in The Firestorm Rebellion. After helping herself to a free meal courtesy of a credit card stolen from Matt, she ends up joining the group to pay off her debts and quickly assumes the role of Matt's "bodyguard". Despite all of her quirks, she seems to genuinely have a soft spot for Olivia, and seems to have a much more caring side as well.

He reappears in ''The Angel of Reckoning'', seeking revenge against Team Rocket and his father.

!!Nikolai/N
A strange young man with the power to read into a Pokemon's heart and heal it. He is first seen saving Olivia from a humiliating, brutal defeat at Renzo's hands before helping both Matt and Olivia train.

However, he has a dark secret - despite not remembering being so, he is the prince of Team Plasma, and therefore Ghetsis's son. Ghetsis has sent the Shadow Triad to capture him, as he is vital to Ghetsis's plan.

The Tenganists are a race of humans whose heritage dates back thousands of years. Their most defining trait is the ability of "Transcendence," which many of them possess. This ability manifests itself in different ways based on the user; for example, Nikolai is able to directly speak with and heal Pokemon, while Matt points out that Sheena's Transcendence allowed her to connect directly with the hearts of people and Pokemon.

A Tenganist settlement existed at the town of Argyros in 1850, as seen in ''The Firestorm Rebellion'', but in the modern era the Tenganists are a dying people targeted by Ghetsis's genocide plot. The few that remain have gathered around a mysterious woman calling herself a prophet and forged an alliance with Team Rocket to wage terrorist attacks against Polaris as a last stand.

!!The Prophet
A mysterious woman acting as a figurehead for the remnants of the Tenganist people. Not much is known about her except that she has a young child (probably less than a year old) and is somehow connected to Ghetsis, Anthea and Concordia, someone in Matt's group and (now) Pierce.

She was revealed to have somehow survived the first attack in Ghetsis's plans of genocide for the Tegnanists, and because of this, she is seen as a symbol of their hope to defeat him.

* BerserkButton: Though she recovered from it quickly, she utterly ''snapped'' when Pierce mentioned Saeko Oryo's name to her.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: It's hard to know exactly what she must have seen when Ghetsis attacked her home, but it is easy to imagine it being horrible considering how she acts whenever thinking of him. She claims that her identity was taken by him in an earlier chapter.
* DarkMessiah: Is seen as a beacon of hope for the dwindling number of Tenganists remaining in the world, who consider her as such because she survived the beginning of Ghetsis's genocide.

!!Anthea & Concordia
Two young women held captive by Ghetsis. They were first seen being forced to perform before the Sacred Helix in a presentation of secrets of the Tenganist people.

* DistressedDamsel: Kept chained in an electronic cage by Ghetsis, who forces them to decipher their peoples' secrets for him while subjecting them to physical and verbal abuse that includes heavily implied starvation.

* TheStoryteller: In their first appearance, they were used by Ghetsis to tell other members of the Sacred Helix a story about the Day of Reckoning.

One of the Tenganists who follow the Prophet. Her Transcendence gives her the power of healing, which she uses to fill her role as the group's nurse.

!!Kratos
A hero who lived five thousand years ago, he was originally from Michina in northern Sinnoh, but traveled around the world to spread the wisdom from the Life Orb. He was involved in the battle that destroyed Argyros Town originally and was the one who used the Life Orb to seal away Zoroark, however, his wife Pandia was the first sacrifice.

!!Saeko Oryo
An oracle who lived in the Tenganist holy land in the early 1900s, Saeko Oryo was a young woman whose Transcendence granted her the ability to see the past and future. During one of their adventures, Sutter Chiaki and Jacob Alexison befriended her, and she showed them her home. These peaceful times didn't last, however; under mysterious circumstances, Saeko was tried and was to be burned as a witch, but in her desperation to survive, she carried out an act that resulted in the destruction of the village and its people.

* BurnTheWitch: In a fit of irony, it is heavily implied that her attempt to avoid this fate - swallowing a partial Jewel of Life - ended up dooming her to burn along with the rest of the holy land's people.

An evil Pokémon that terrorized the land that would become Argyros Town thousands of years ago. He was sealed away in a stone tablet by the legendary hero Kratos, who used the Life Orb to do so. However, the seal came with a price; once every solar eclipse a woman from the town would have to be sacrificed or the seal would be broken.
