* BlindObedience: To a higher power of sorts, and it's their sole character trait, which is criticized by [[{{Hypocrite}} Starfleet of all people]].

* {{Bishonen}}: He is described as being very handsome, and the ladies do find him attractive.

* GoodIsNotNice: He is pure of heart on paper, selfless for an AuthorAvatar in practice, but still very rude to strangers and people he doesn't like. Of note is when is Lightning, Luna, and Krysta accuse him of being a spy for Kallanians, {{not help|ingYourCase}}ed by Mykan going out of his way to act suspicious, and rather than calmly explain the situation, he insists on acting like a patronizing {{Jerkass}}.

* EvilCounterpart: More like selfish and jerkish counterpart, but he is a completly self-centered person who rejects help in rude ways, and overall a far worse person than human Mykan.

* GoodIsNotNice: He is pure of heart on paper, selfless for an AuthorAvatar in practice, but still very rude to strangers and people he doesn't like.
* GrandTheftMe: Switches bodies with Avyanna. [[spoiler:It works in his favor, as planned by Celesto himself.]]

* SpotlightStealingSquad: In some recent stories, Mykan has been stealing the spotlight out from under Lightning Dawn, but not to DemotedToExtra levels. Additionally, his Equestrian counterpart is being played up as a major recurring character in ''VI''. He even gets to personally defeat at least one secondary antagonist (Megadox). However, he is '''not''' a core Starfleet member, and [[spoiler:that works in Starfleet's favor as Avyanna would know too many secrets otherwise.]]

* EvilCounterpart: More like selfish and jerkish counterpart, but he is a complete self-centered person who rejects help in rude ways, and overall a far worse person than human Mykan.

* TooDumbToLive: Attacking a DeathRay machine even after Windy Bag was defeated and the machine was damaged and made potentially dangerous? Definitely not his brightest idea.

* EnemyMine: Sort of. They start hostile to Starfleet, thinking they were sent by the Pixies. They become far more friendly when they learn Starfleet is an enemy of the Insectos, which are also enemies of the moles.

* LargeAndInCharge: he is the biggest mole and their emperor.

* SatelliteLoveInterest: They are largely defined by their relationships to other people, particularly their crush on Dyno and Myte.

* LetsGetDangerous: In the entire story, he either gives advice, hides or gets captured by Phantasma. However, [[spoiler:when Phantasma has cornered her foes completely in the very final chapter of Season XI, he shows why he is the guardian of dreams, as he personally and ''very quickly'' turns the tables on Phantasma, capturing ''her'' instead and leaving her helpless.]]

* DistressedDude: While he does help Starfleet stand up to the Nightmares by giving them his power, his most notable role is being captured close to the climax.

* DumbBlonde: Most likely unintentional, but she certainly does come off as one.

* GrandTheftMe: Her spirit swaps places with Cadance's to escape Von Devilor. [[FridgeLogic Why she never just possesses Cadance and have both of them escape is not yet answered.]]

* MightyWhitey: El Mundo space ponies are this [[UpToEleven to the rest of the planet.]] Hailing from a powerful civilization? Check. [[GoingNative Assimilating with the natives?]] Check. Saving the natives from the VillainOfTheWeek? Check. ''Ruling'' the natives? Take three guesses.

* OldManMarryingAChild: Implied. Krysta's around 20 when she reunites with Topaz, Topaz is old enough to have gray hair, and they were married for ten years before they reunited. This means that Krysta would have been a ''child'' while Topaz was middle-aged at youngest when they got married.

* OldManMarryingAChild: Implied. [[MayDecemberRomance Topaz is apparently old enough to have gray hair, while his wife is around Lightning's age, and therefore barely 20 at oldest with they reunited.]] The "Child" part comes in with the reveal that they were married ten years before the events of I. [[SincerityMode Not engaged, married.]] Krysta would be a preteen at oldest and Topaz middle-aged at youngest at the time.

* ForgotAboutHerPowers: This happens at times, where she doesn't realize she can get the heroes away from danger with her portals or use them to capture the villains until it's too late.

* RapunzelHair: Long black hair.

* {{Expy}}: They're based on [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Science Christian Scientists]]. Specifically, they're based on a portrayal of them from an [[Recap/FamilyGuyS10E12LivinOnAPrayer an episode of]] ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy''. They believe that all their problems can be solved just by praying and refuse more practical solutions to their problems. Both also get given a speech by the main characters where they're told that their prayers are being answered, just through different means.
