And so, he both got an army and a steady amount of replacement bodies.

* ElegantGothicLolita: Otohime dressess the part of the {{proper lady}}, from her ruffled dark dress and black hair ribbon, to her matching parasol - contrasting with Himegami's style, which is more [[OfCorsetsSexy the seductress.]]

* ManipulativeBitch: She showed up for the Himekagura Festival, knowing Tenbi would try to follow her, in hopes of finding her new lair and [[spoiler: Takeru Yamato]]'s location. Yuuka falls into their trap, where Otohime explained that Love Espada and the other third year students were under her control. And later explains to Miyabi, that she's been using them sparingly to ensure the mind control holds, until the intergration process is complete.

* RichBitch: Otohime's haughtiness and her style of dress reflects her family's status and her upbringing.

* PowerNullifier: Gouken has the inherent ability to cancel any Element based attacks used against him. However, he hadn't been aware that there was a limit to how much he could nullify, until he burned his hand by cancelling out Murakumo.
* SharpDressedMan: He's always neatly dressed in a shirt and necktie to compliment [[ElegantGothicLolita his sister's attire.]]

* FinalBoss: At the end of the series, he becomes the last villain [[spoiler:Takeru]] has to face.

* LaserGuidedKarma: For over two millennia, Yamato and slew the gods, including the ones who dwelled in the sacred seal atop Amanohara. The lone survivor was his niece, Kodama, who Yamato relentlessly pursued for her Orochi blood, in order to break the seal. And just after attaining all that he sought, [[spoiler: his niece ultimately confines inside the Ama no Iwato seal which is now an endless, empty, void. A literal Hell of his own making]].

* VillainousBreakdown: Yamato has a major one during his final moments, [[IDontWantToDie once the realization set in]] that he was soon to die, despite finally attaining godhood. He rants that he can't understand why he's always been obsessed with his niece, why every time he's tried to kill her, someone always intervenes on her behalf. As the fight nears its conclusion, he demands to know why [[spoiler: Ousoo's spirit he had returned from death to defend his daughter, instead of him]]. Nor could he understand why all the students and faculty at Tenbi and Venus [[EnergyDonation were loaning their Element]] to Takeru.

** After finding himself imprisoned alone in [[spoiler: the total darkness of the Ama no Iwato seal]], he tries pleading with his niece to release him. She refuses and says it's only right that a soulless man like him should languish away in a soulless realm - especially since he, himself, slew all the gods who once inhabited it. Then adds that [[SadisticChoice if he doesn't like it]], he can simply kill himself by letting his soul fade away.

** Yamato has also made an enemy of Takeru Oyama who, as fate would have it, is a distant descendant of Yabiko. Takeru also takes issue with Yamato for targetting Tenbi Academy, made worse when Yamato abducts Ms. Aki to [[VirginSacrifice sacrifice her]] to the Ama no Iwato seal.

* AdaptedOut: While he's a main antagonist in the manga, he doesn't appear in the anime.

* DidntSeeThatComing: Throughout the final battle, he was convinced that he had nothing to fear so long as he kept Takeru Oyama from getting near him. So when Takeru finally conered him ahd was about to strike the final blow, Yamato fled by projecting his soul outside of his physical body. He completely forgot that his niece [[spoiler: could do it too, not realizing he had just played right into her hands]]. Whoops.

* HeroKiller: He's responsible for the murder of Himegami's parents[[note]]who were Yamato's own younger brother, Oouso no Mikoto and his brother's wife, Yatsuno, who was the reincarnated [[{{Orochi}} Yamato no Orochi]] in human form[[/note]] over 2,000 years prior to the start of the manga's main story. And he's also the one who kills Inaho's father, Tesshin.
