Bleeding to death, Sivir collapsed within the temple and inadvertently resurrected the Shurima Emperor Azir, as her blood came from his. Sivir was resurrected and witnessed that the act completed Azir's Ascension, and the Shurima Empire has once again risen.

** During the Kalamanda incident (aka the introduction of the Dominion map event), Swain was on-site as a representative of the Noxian military, butting heads with Demacian forces led by his nemesis Jarvan IV. However, Jarvan IV was noted as acting out-of-character during the whole time, and it was he who attacked Swain first. In the high resolution version of the published image of the fight between Jarvan IV and Swain in raven form, one can clearly see it is LeBlanc's face reflected in Swain's breastplate as he is facing 'Jarvan', adding to his uncharacteristic behavior up to that point, it is pretty much confirmed that it was LeBlanc masquerading as Jarvan the entire time, working in cahoots with Swain. The result is that Swain appears as being the innocent party because he did not instigate the fight; instead he appears to be defending Noxus' rights to Kalamanda against an aggressive Demacia. The Journal of Justice article on the incident also noted that effectively made Swain the only General on active duty on an actual battlefield. This elevates Swain's popularity within the military high command as well as with the Noxian public.
** The last political rival to Swain for the position of Grand General was one of Boram Darkwill's sons, Kevan Darkwill. During the duel, Swain notably never used his strongest ability - that is to turn into a giant demon raven. It is heavily hinted that until the last moment, it was likely LeBlanc who was fighting in his stead due to the lack of his signature abilities being used and that one of the quotes 'he' was saying was a quote that LeBlanc often uses. The killing blow/execution was also dealt by Darius and not him. Although this is purely speculation, the effect might be to belittle Kevan by showing that Swain did not see him worth fighting to his full capacity and that he was not an opponent worth personally killing. Another possibility as to why Swain would not turn into a raven, is that Noxus is officially described as xenophobic by Riot - Swain might not have wanted to turn into a raven so that the Noxian public would not be reminded of his non-human abilities.

** During the Kalamanda incident (aka the introduction of the Dominion map event), Swain was on-site as a representative of the Noxian military, butting heads with Demacian forces led by his nemesis Jarvan IV. However, Jarvan IV was noted as acting out-of-character during the whole time, and it was he who attacked Swain first. In the high resolution version of the published image of the fight between Jarvan IV and Swain in raven form, one can clearly see it is LeBlanc's [=LeBlanc=]'s face reflected in Swain's breastplate as he is facing 'Jarvan', adding to his uncharacteristic behavior up to that point, it is pretty much confirmed that it was LeBlanc [=LeBlanc=] masquerading as Jarvan the entire time, working in cahoots with Swain. The result is that Swain appears as being the innocent party because he did not instigate the fight; instead he appears to be defending Noxus' rights to Kalamanda against an aggressive Demacia. The Journal of Justice article on the incident also noted that effectively made Swain the only General on active duty on an actual battlefield. This elevates Swain's popularity within the military high command as well as with the Noxian public.
** The last political rival to Swain for the position of Grand General was one of Boram Darkwill's sons, Kevan Darkwill. During the duel, Swain notably never used his strongest ability - that is to turn into a giant demon raven. It is heavily hinted that until the last moment, it was likely LeBlanc [=LeBlanc=] who was fighting in his stead due to the lack of his signature abilities being used and that one of the quotes 'he' was saying was a quote that LeBlanc [=LeBlanc=] often uses. The killing blow/execution was also dealt by Darius and not him. Although this is purely speculation, the effect might be to belittle Kevan by showing that Swain did not see him worth fighting to his full capacity and that he was not an opponent worth personally killing. Another possibility as to why Swain would not turn into a raven, is that Noxus is officially described as xenophobic by Riot - Swain might not have wanted to turn into a raven so that the Noxian public would not be reminded of his non-human abilities.

Princess of one of the three great tribes of Freljord, Sejuani was the only one of her siblings to survive childhood. She feared that she too would fall to the brutal climate of her homeland, so she asked her tribe's mystic to predict her future. The sage prophesied that Sejuani would not only survive, but that she would be the one to unite Freljord as one people. Sejuani trained her entire life, pushing her physical boundaries beyond that of any of her tribesmen and forcing them to do the same, and her tribe only grew stronger as time went on. Then, on the first day of winter, envoys from Ashe's tribe brought gifts of grain to Sejuani, promising that her people would never go hungry if she united under Ashe's rule. Sejuani was insulted by the weakness of the Avarosan, who would rather farm than fight, so she had them stripped of their supplies and sent back through the storm. Sejuani decided to show Ashe and her people personally that in Freljord, only the strong deserve to live. To oppose Ashe, she is now part of the League as the representative of the Winter's Claw with Volibear and Olaf as her supporters.

Sejuani is a tank-fighter champion who rides a monstrous boar and combines freezing cold with pure brute strenght to disrupt and lock down enemies. Her passive, ''Frost Armor'', grants her a brief armor boost and a reduction to all slowing effects applied on her when she damages an enemy. Her first ability, ''Arctic Assault'', makes her boar charge forward, stopping upon colliding with an enemy champion, knocking up and damaging all enemies she hits depending on their maximum health. In her grief, Shyvana set off to avenge her father's death. On her journey she met Jarvan IV, the prince of Demacia, who was on his own journey of self-discovery. After hearing her story, Jarvan and his men agreed to help Shyvana avenge her father. Impressed with her strength and valor, Jarvan offered her a place in the Demacian military. Shyvana is a fighter-tank champion that excels at rapidly assaulting and taking out single targets, and can also morph into a dragon to deal strong area of effect damage. Instead of mana she uses Fury as a resource, gaining a small amount of Fury passively, as well as everytime she attacks. However, she only spends Fury to use her ultimate ability; the rest of her abilities have no cost attached to them and are only constrained by cooldowns. Her passive, ''Dragonborn'', grants her a small bonus to her armor and magic resistance that is doubled when she's in ''Dragon Form''. Her first ability, ''Twin Bite'', makes her next basic attack strike twice for bonus damage. The cooldown of the ability is reduced everytime she attacks an enemy. Her second ability, ''Burnout'', engulfs Shyvana in flames for a brief duration, increasing her movement speed and continuously damaging all surrounding foes. If she attacks an enemy while engulfed in flames, the duration of the ability is increased. Her third ability, ''Flame Breath'', sends out a fireball that damages all enemies in a line and marks them for few seconds. If Shyvana attacks a marked target, she will deal bonus damage equal to their maximum health. Her ultimate ability, ''Dragon's Descent'', can only be activated when Shyvana reaches 100% Fury, and transforms her into a dragon that dashes to a nearby location in a fiery wave, damaging all enemies in her path and carrying them towards her landing location. The main problem thus is that his abilities and gameplay don't mesh well with his appearance, and that he's forced to forego several of his abilities if he wants to be viable. They have already announced that, if he gets reworked, he's going to undergo pretty hefty changes.

Jericho Swain is a mage and Grand General of the Noxian army with no recorded past. His earliest record is of the time when he, as a boy, limped into a Noxian field infirmary with a badly broken leg and a bird perched on his shoulder. He showed no sign of pain whatsoever as the medics set the protruding bone and he left as quickly as he came. When he joined the military years later, he immediately began a meteoric rise through the ranks thanks to his tactical genius and skill as a leader, often getting promotions as his superiors requested to be placed under his command. Despite undoubtedly being Noxus' strongest military asset, no one really knows for sure who (or what) he really is, or what role the strange bird plays in his exceptional mind.

Swain is a mage-fighter champion who can take a lot more punishment than the usual fragile mage, while also dealing powerful sustained damage on his own. His passive, ''Carrion Renewal'', restores some of his mana whenever he kills an enemy unit, and even more if he kills or helps kill an enemy champion. His first ability, ''Decrepify'', sends his pet raven to fire a beam of energy at an enemy target, damaging and slowing them until the duration ends or they run away from the raven. His second ability, ''Nevermove'', creates a magical mark at a nearby area that, after a brief delay, will make giant talons erupt from it, damaging and immobilizing all enemies inside. * VillainWithGoodPublicity: An interesting case is that the state of Noxus itself is the 'villain' to many of the other factions of Runeterra except Zaun or the Shadow Isles, with Swain being one of the most iconic Noxian champions. So while he is a 'villain' to others, he is effectively a 'national hero' to Noxus itself. Notably it is mentioned in his League backstory that he was ''already'' on the rise to power prior to becoming a champion in League of Legends, but was removed from active duty due to his political rivals. When Demacia started placing more champion representatives in the League, Swain got recalled to active duty primarily to represent Noxus in the League. These matches are broadcasted in-universe, meaning that Swain's exploits on Summoner's Rift became known to the Noxus public. There were several other PR methods, both legitimate and shady, that was used to sway public and political support to Swain's side over the course of League lore:
** During the Ionia vs Noxus event, the Journal of Justice ran an article that explained why Swain wasn't up for champ selection during the match. He had recently been promoted and there was a gala being held in his honor. At this gala, LeBlanc was his date and the article particularly noted how it was rare to see the Matron out in public at all, and that she 'hung onto (Swain's) arm' during the whole event. This had the effect of showing the Black Rose's unabashed support for Swain.
** Darius' introduction was framed around his loyalty and support for Swain as his right-hand man and muscle. Given his personality and position in the Noxian military command, he represents Noxus' respect for strength and results. Darius has practical reasons for choosing to follow Swain, which would reflect the majority of the military command's reasoning as well - that Swain was simply the strongest and most intelligent among the Generals. His public support of Swain would also contribute to the political position that Swain was attaining.
** During the Kalamanda incident (aka the introduction of the Dominion map event), Swain was on-site as a representative of the Noxian military, butting heads with Demacian forces led by his nemesis Jarvan IV. However, Jarvan IV was noted as acting out-of-character during the whole time, and it was he who attacked Swain first. In the high resolution version of the published image of the fight between Jarvan IV and Swain in raven form, one can clearly see it is LeBlanc's face reflected in Swain's breastplate as he is facing 'Jarvan', adding to his uncharacteristic behavior up to that point, it is pretty much confirmed that it was LeBlanc masquerading as Jarvan the entire time, working in cahoots with Swain. The result is that Swain appears as being the innocent party because he did not instigate the fight; instead he appears to be defending Noxus' rights to Kalamanda against an aggressive Demacia. The Journal of Justice article on the incident also noted that effectively made Swain the only General on active duty on an actual battlefield. This elevates Swain's popularity within the military high command as well as with the Noxian public.
** The last political rival to Swain for the position of Grand General was one of Boram Darkwill's sons, Kevan Darkwill. During the duel, Swain notably never used his strongest ability - that is to turn into a giant demon raven. It is heavily hinted that until the last moment, it was likely LeBlanc who was fighting in his stead due to the lack of his signature abilities being used and that one of the quotes 'he' was saying was a quote that LeBlanc often uses. The killing blow/execution was also dealt by Darius and not him. Although this is purely speculation, the effect might be to belittle Kevan by showing that Swain did not see him worth fighting to his full capacity and that he was not an opponent worth personally killing. Another possibility as to why Swain would not turn into a raven, is that Noxus is officially described as xenophobic by Riot - Swain might not have wanted to turn into a raven so that the Noxian public would not be reminded of his non-human abilities.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Heavily limited by his ManaMeter even by mage standards due to his Ravenous Flock consuming increasingly more mana over time. He's one of few spellcasters in the game that can have Tear of The Goddess, Chalice of Harmony, and the Ancient Golem buff and ''still'' run dry.
** The summoner spell Ignite (and any source of Grevious Wounds) is basically Swain's Kryptonite, since he relies very heavily on regenerating from Ravenous Flock and halving that healing is a huge OhCrap moment for his summoner.
* WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: For all his talk about strategy and tactics, Swain doesn't have too many options outside "tactical withdrawal" and "kill everything in front of him with magic".
* WhosLaughingNow: It's highly advisable to your distance from him because of his proximity-reliant spells. Due to him being a MightyGlacier, an assassin that attempts to all-in him (as if he were a squishier foe) but fails to kill him will likely regret that decision as he holds them in place, pours on the damage, and heals a good deal of it back.
* WickedCultured: Is mentioned to attend some of Sona's concerts, so presumably he has a bit of free time in between his scheming and running of a powerful city-state.
* WorthyOpponent: Averted. He's got too much of an ego to consider anyone to be on his level.

Even at a young age, Syndra's latent magical abilities were frighteningly powerful. The elders of her village, fearful of her recklessness, sent her to a remote temple to learn magic under the guide of an elderly mage. Although she learned much, she felt that her powers were not growing as quickly as they once were and she eventually confronted her mentor. He revealed that he had been dampening her power and, when she ordered him to release her from the spell, he threatened to take her powers away permanently. Syndra became enraged and killed her mentor, releasing her potential. Claiming his temple as her fortress, Syndra was free to harness more of her ever-growing power. Living in isolation, she participates in the League as her personal stomping grounds with the summoners well aware of what happens if they try to exert the same restraints on her.

Syndra is a mage-support champion with a complex ability set based around summoning and manipulating spheres of dark energy that rewards a skilled user with strong damage. Her passive, ''Trascendent'', enhances each of her abilities when they reach their max level. Her first ability, ''Dark Sphere'', summons a sphere of dark energy at a nearby area, damaging all enemies around it, that will remain there for a short time an can be manipulated by her other abilities. When it reaches max rank, ''Trascendent'' increases the damage the sphere deals to enemy champions. Her second ability, ''Force of Will'', telekinetically lifts a nearby enemy minion or ''Dark Sphere'' for a brief duration and, when the ability is reactivated, hurls it at a nearby area, damaging and slowing all enemies when it lands. When it reaches max rank, ''Trascendent'' increases the duration of the slowing effect. Her third ability, ''Scatter the Weak'', sends out a wave of dark energy that damages and knocks back all enemies in a cone in front of her. Any ''Dark Spheres'' in the same area are also sent flying backwards, stunning all enemies they collide with. When it reaches max rank, ''Trascendent'' increases the width of the cone. Her ultimate ability, ''Unleashed Power'', summons three ''Dark Spheres'' and hurls them, along with any other on the field, at a nearby enemy, dealing heavy damage for each sphere. The spheres will then remain around the target for a brief duration. When it reaches max rank, ''Trascendent'' increases the range of the ability.

That being said, those that take the time to master her can turn it around and make it DifficultButAwesome.

** Unlike most other mages she is ''best'' suited for an extended fight, due to Scatter the Weak and Unleashed Power's reliance of Dark Spheres being summoned first. This, and her sheer level of difficulty, can make her an AwesomeButImpractical option, as most players point out that other mages can do as much damage as her with a much easier to land and more forgiving combo.
* DisproportionateRetribution: She murdered her mentor in cold blood by grinding him into paste against the walls, for the grave crime of being a ReasonableAuthorityFigure, and now, wants to destroy the leadership of Ionia for being "weak".
* EnfanteTerrible: She's basically what Annie would grow up into if she never learns self-control and gets completely drunk on her untapped magical potential. When she was just a child, Syndra intentionally and remorselessly killed her mentor out of malice for the "offense" of putting a PowerLimiter on her.
* GameBreakingBug: She was removed from the game temporarily because Force of Will could be used to grab ahold of the blue buff golem... and pretty much keep it in the bubble indefinitely. Junglers were not amused.
** An even worse case was an One for All gamemode bug that would cause one cast of Unleashed Power use spheres from ''all'' Syndra's. Before she was disabled to address the bug, a Syndra could coordinate with her fellow Syndra's to kill a foe with '''[[NoKillLikeOverkill 35 spheres at once]]'''.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Force of Will damages mostly through magic, though picking up a minion or pet and chucking it at her enemy probably helps too.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: They glow purple, and seeing them up-close without promptly getting of her way is liable to spell doom.
