Olaf is a fighter-tank champion who is built to recklessly charge into the fray without any sense of self-preservation, getting stronger the closer to death he is. His passive, ''Berserker Rage'', increases his attack speed for every percent of health he is missing. His first ability, ''Undertow'', throws one of his axes, damaging and slowing all enemies in a line. The axe then sticks at its landing location for a few seconds, during which Olaf can pick it up to greatly reduce the cooldown of the ability. His second ability, ''Vicious Strikes'', grants Olaf a temporary buff that increases his attack speed, makes all his basic attacks heal him for a percentage of the damage dealt and increases healing from all sources depending on his missing health. His third ability, ''Reckless Swing'', strikes a nearby opponent with a double-edged blow that deals true unblockable damage to the target and a percentage of that damage to Olaf. Attacking an opponent reduces the cooldown of the ability. His ultimate ability, ''Ragnarok'', passively increases Olaf's defenses, and can be activated to remove all disabling effects on Olaf, become immune to them and grant him a massive attack damage bonus for a brief duration, at the cost of losing the defensive bonus.

Once an oak on the Twisted Treeline battlefield, Maokai was animated by the chaotic magic in the land. He allowed himself to be summoned by the League in return for their researching a way to remove his sentience. In the meantime however, Maokai is more than happy for the opportunity to punish magekind for their insolence to nature.

Centuries ago, the Shuriman warrior Nasus and his brother Renekton performed the ritual of Ascension to become living Gods and fight a long forgotten menace for Shurima, with Nasus transforming into a jackal-human hybrid. After the danger was gone, Nasus and his brother dissapeared and came to be revered as demigods. Nasus was believed to be a demigod of death and time and a patron of curators and guardians. However, when Xerath fooled Emperor Azir to perform the ritual of Ascension and stole the power for himself, Nasus and Renekton reappeared to stop him. Even though they managed to seal him in a sarcophagus, Xerath easily broke free and drove the brothers into a corner with his unlimited powers. Desperate, Renekton managed to drag Xerath into the Tomb of the Emperors and ordered Nasus to seal both of them inside. His heart broken for having to abandon his brother, Nasus complied and sealed both of them away. Centuries later, however, the Noxian woman Cassiopeia opened the door and released both Xerath and Renekton, who had been driven mad from centuries imprisoned with the magus, and wrongly blamed Nasus for his plight. Nasus now faces the challenge of having to battle his own vengeful brother, as well as try to stop Xerath.

** DifficultButAwesome: The downside to this strategy is that, while Nasus' lane will be safe from ganks since he'll be happily farming under his turret, that Nasus won't be able to roam as soon or as well, his gaking jungler is more likely to get a kill than him which will stifle his golds incom, and any early teamfight scenarios, like invading the enemy jungle, will be impossible. This is DifficultButAwesome for your team, not so much for the Nasus player himself, and Nasus is still considered one of the best top laners.

* CulturedBadass: Was the lorekeeper of his previous world, who would teach mortals that were pure of heart. He now cares for the League's archives.

* FanNickname: There's a massive amount of names for his Siphoning Strike, usually more threatening as he gains stacks on it. Due to his staff´s eerie color, a common name for it is the Plutonium Stick. [[OneHitKill Which is a pretty good analogy as to how hard it's gonna nuke you lategame]]. Another popular one is ''The [[ArmorPiercingAttack Pimp Cane]]''.

Nidalee is an assassin-support champion who can shapeshift between a long and a short range form that work together to hunt and take down her foes. Her ultimate ability, ''Aspect of the Cougar'', gets a free rank at the start of the game and allows Nidalee to switch between ''Human Form'', which is ranged and excels at initiating the hunt, and ''Cougar Form'', which is melee and excels at taking down targets. Her passive, ''Prowl'', grants her a brief movement speed bonus when she travels through brush that increases if she's moving towards a visible enemy champion. It also makes her ''Javelin Toss'' and ''Bushwhack'' abilities mark targets they damage as ''Hunted'', granting Nidalee the same movement speed bonus when moving towards them and granting bonus effects to her ''Cougar Form'' abilities. Her first ability in ''Human Form'', ''Javelin Toss'', throws her spear forward to damage the first enemy unit in a line, the damage increasing the further the spear flies, and marking the target as ''Hunted''. With her second ability in ''Human Form'', ''Bushwhack'', Nidalee lays down a trap at a nearby location that is triggered if an enemy unit walks over it, damaging them over time for a percentage of their current health, revealing them and marking them as ''Hunted''. Her third ability in ''Human Form'', ''Primal Surge'', heals a nearby allied champion or herself while also granting the target a brief attack speed boost. Her first ability in ''Cougar Form'', ''Takedown'', makes her next basic attack deal bonus damage depending on the target's missing health. If the target is ''Hunted'', they'll take bonus damage. With her second ability in ''Cougar Form'', ''Pounce'', Nidalee lunges a small distance forward, damaging all enemies around her landing point. If she targets a nearby ''Hunted'' enemy when using ''Pounce'', she will instead jump to their location from twice the normal distance. Her third ability in ''Cougar Form'', ''Swipe'', will slash all enemies in a cone in front of Nidalee with her claws, damaging them. If she hits a ''Hunted'' target, the cooldown of ''Pounce'' will be refreshed.

* WhatTheHellHero: This is basically a summary of Nasus' opinion on Azir. While they are allies and Nasus is certain that Azir can restore Shurima to its former glory, he's understandably... ''peeved'' by the fact that it was Azir's arrogance (combined with Xerath's betrayal) that led to the destruction of Shurima in the first place. It doesn't help that Azir won't admit his mistakes.

* HypercompetentSidekick: A possibility in the gameplay sense. Though rarely seen, Morgana can perform very well supporting the ADC in bottom lane. Black Shield goes a long way to gankproofing her partner, she's infinitely less squishy than most supports, Dark Binding can pin an out-of-position enemy for a couple of seconds at a time (an eternity during the bottom laning phase) without even needing your jungler, and the carry can go back to heal and buy as much as they want when she can comfortably hold 2v1 while they're gone.

* WasOnceAMan: Originally a human, he ascended at an unknown point in time along with Renekton.

Nasus was also a soldier bent on fighting his totalitarian, crocodile-headed brother Renekton, but was summoned to Runeterra before he could finish him off. He agreed to help protect Runeterra from the forces that were poised to tear it apart, seeing them as no less threatening to innocent lives as the war he left behind.

As of Azir's reveal, however, his, Renekton's and Xerath's lore were retconned. Nasus is now a native of Shurima who was believed to be a demigod of death and time and a patron of curators and guardians. Now he seeks to put Renekton out of his misery. Both of the brothers defeated Xerath when he betrayed Azir and imprisoned him in a sarcophagus. However, Xerath broke free and Renekton made Nasus seal both him and the mage inside the Tomb of the Emperors in an attempt to make sure Xerath stayed trapped for good. Disheartened, Nasus complied and sealed the both of them away. Long story short, the seal didn't last as long as many would have hoped...
