However, Xerath broke free and Renekton made Nasus seal both him and the mage inside the Tomb of the Emperors in an attempt to make sure Xerath stayed trapped for good. Disheartened, Nasus complied and sealed the both of them away. Long story short, the seal didn't last as long as many would have hoped...

Nautilus is a tank-fighter champion who, despite his cumbersomeness and slowness, can deal some pretty devastating crowd control and area of effect damage. His passive, ''Staggering Blow'', makes his basic attacks deal bonus damage and briefly immobilize the target, but this effect only works on the same target every few seconds. His first ability, ''Dredge Line'', makes Nautilus hurl his chained anchor forward like a grappling hook. Nunu could only barely remember his parents or a time when he wasn't walled inside the citadel of the reclusive Frostguard tribe. His desire to explore and natural compassion put him at odds with his cryptic elders, so he was sent to apprentice with the Frostguard beast master. Unique among the creatures under his supervision was Willump the yeti, a creature of incredible physical strength and unusual mystical qualities. Nunu was told to keep the wild beast poorly fed and to whip it frequently, but as Nunu tended to the creature he began to see it as more than just a brute. Feeling sorry for the sick yeti, Nunu snuck him bits of meat until he became stronger. When treated with kindness, he found, Willump was completely benign and not at all the savage monster he was lead to believe. Nunu hoped to convince the beast master to treat his new friend better, but before he could Willump escaped from his cage and fled to the wilderness. Nunu, upon discovering a crude drawing Willump had left for him, pursued him out of the citadel and found him being beaten by the beast master and the warriors of the Frostguard. Nunu threw himself in front of his friend, but the beast master had no qualms about turning his whip on the boy. Enraged at the sight of his friend in danger, Willump summoned unseen fury, scattering the soldiers and leaving his former abuser bloodied in the snow. Now both outcasts, they turned their backs on the Frostguard and set out to explore the wide world that had for so long been denied to them. With no other place in Freljord to go, they went to the League for protection.

Nunu and Willump are a support-fighter champion duo with a strong emphasis on buffing allies and debuffing foes, their wide variety of skills making them very versatile. Their passive, ''Visionary'', makes their next spell free to cast after a certain number of basic attacks. Their first ability, ''Consume'', makes Willump bite a nearby enemy minion, dealing large unblockable true damage and healing them. If he bites a jungle minion they will gain a buff for a long duration that varies with the minion: golems grant them ''Rough Rock Candy'' (bonus maximum health and size), reptiles grant them ''Ornery Monster Tails'' (their attacks and spell gain bonus damage equal to their maximum health), while wraiths and wolves gran them ''Spooky Mystery Meat'' (killing a unit grants them a small movement speed boost). Their second ability, ''Blood Boil'', heats both their and a nearby ally's blood, granting both of them increased movement and attack speed for a duration. With their third ability, ''Ice Blast'', Nunu throws a ball of ice at a nearby enemy, damaging them and slowing their movement and attack speed. Their ultimate ability, ''Absolute Zero'', makes them channel, sapping a large area around them of heat, which slows the movement and attack speed of all nearby foes. When the channel ends or the ability is reactivated, an icey explosion is created, dealing massive damage to all surrounding foes depending on how long they channeled.

A warrior from the extreme Lokfar peninsula in Freljord, Olaf was always eager to seek glory in battle and share the tales of his exploits. Olaf, mocking the envious barbarian, threw a set of bones on the ground to tell his future. All joy left the scene as the bones foretold a long life and a quiet passing, the worst possible death for a warrior of Lokfar. Enraged, Olaf set off into the night to challenge the feared frost serpent, a giant beast that had consumed thousands over its ancient lifetime. Olaf hoped to die a glorious death in combat with the beast, but as he came closer and closer to death his ferocity only increased. When he came to his senses, he discovered the beast's carcass floating next to him. Olaf set out again to hunt every creature and warrior that stood a chance against him, but every time his frenzy in the jaws of death earned him the victory. He decided that his only choice was to challenge the most fearsome tribe in Freljord: the Winter's Claw, lead by Sejuani. He struck down scores of her troops before clashing with Sejuani herself in a battle that ultimately lead to a standstill. Olaf is a fighter-tank champion who is built to recklessly charge into the fray without any sense of self-preservation, getting stronger the closer to death he is. The axe then sticks at its landing location for a few seconds, during which Olaf can pick it up to greatly reduce the cooldown of the ability. Naturally, activating it too early or too late will be much less glorious.

** Mastering when to use her abilities is crucial to success at her. Used in the right place, the slow/speedup can save yourself and teammates from a gank, and a combo of the slow and the character-moving ultimate can actually do enough damage to kill them. However, both have a smaller area of effect than you might think; miss one or put it in the wrong place, and you'll end up dead. Using the shield (which puts the Ball on an allied champion) can also change fights: you can shield a hurting ally, or you can put in on an initiator who can hop on the enemy, just to list two examples.
