* EmotionlessGirl: Sonozaki doesn't really emote, keeping her voice at a level monotone at all times. She doesn't so much as bat an eye at torturing classmates or endangering their lives. Possibly justified, as it's implied that she took part in the same experiments Katsuhira was subjected to as a child.
** Justified in episode 10: [[spoiler: she is constantly heavily sedated, nullifying her emotions and sensations, since the old experiment left her as the one receiving the pain of all ''18 other children'' of the last Kiznaiver group for the last 12 years.]]

Due to her FriendlessBackground, she took the Kiznaiver linkage as the only way to keep her friends connected to her, and was unwilling to let go of her friends' linkage in fear they will never be friends with her after the experiment ends. It the finale, she attempted to link herself with the whole city population to absorb everyone's pain in order to help her 5 closest Kiznaivers regain conscience.]]

* YoungAndInCharge: Sonozaki is the same age as the other characters, but she's in charge of taking care of the whole Kizuna System.
** Subverted as, though she is overseeing the project, it's clear there are people above her. As Urushibara explains, she's the idol of the Kizuna Committee.

* ApatheticTeacher: He's seen playing a dating sim demo in class, allowing his students to use their cells and socialize, instead of teaching. He's also wearing what looks like a sleeping mask on his head.
** When Chidori asks him to confront Katsuhira's bullies, he shrugs it off by saying they wouldn't listen to him, and that Chidori should just tell Katsuhira to run.
* TheAtoner: Implies that he considers continuing the Kizuna experiment the only way to make up for [[spoiler: causing the suffering of the First Generation. Its also why he goes along with Sonozaki's plan.]]

Katsuhira was one of the lucky ones able to hold the minimum required amount of emotions to function on his own, and to be released back into society.]]

* AcceptableTargets: InUniverse, he only beats up [[BullyHunter people he considers twisted]], but in effect he essentially bullies the bullies. In his own words he "enjoys raking them over the coals" rather than merely stopping them or avenging their victims.
