His suit, the G3, was actually based on [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga Unidentified Life Form # 4 aka Kuuga himself]] due to receiving data from two different prototypes and being originally created to fight Unidentified Life Forms. Though lagging behind temporarily, he eventually becomes competitive again with the help of a MidSeasonUpgrade in G3-X.\\

Once a college student with a prominent position on the swim team and a girlfriend he loved, he nearly suffered a CareerEndingInjury when he was hit by a truck while riding his motorcycle. After a miraculous recovery, his body began to randomly transform into the feral creature known only as "Gills". His transformation would terrify those close to him and force him to drop out of college, abandon his swimming career, and lose his girlfriend. Soon after, he discovers that his father, who had gone missing following a voyage on the ship ''Akatsuki'', [[DrivenToSuicide committed suicide]]. Finding the ''Akatsuki'''s passenger manifest among his father's personal effects, he dedicates his life to contacting the other passengers and finding out why his father was so traumatized by the event.\\

* CantCatchUp: G3 spends the majority of the show's first half being cripplingly ineffective against the Lords, only getting a handful of solo victories through sheer luck alone. It's not until the upgrade to G3-X that the armor proves anywhere close to effective in combat.

While both are mystical-based Riders, Kuuga's powers were created by the Linto tribe and derived from the Gurongi lord whose powers needs to be unlock through training, while Agito was created by Prometh for the purpose of evolving humanity beyond the [=OverLord=] control, thus his powers miraculously evolved during his constant battle with the Unknowns.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: They specifically to target humans blessed with the seed of Agito (those whom have supernatural abilities). Killing normal humans (unless said human had committed murder) is a taboo and the penalty is forced suicide. The Ant Lords somehow bypass this rule.

* SwissArmyHero: Agito has three basic forms and three super forms, each shift and switch his combat abilities on MultiformBalance, ElementalPowers, and WeaponOfChoice. The basic forms are Ground[[note]]Unarmed, imbued with strength of earth, has lowest defense but highest attack power[[/note]], Storm[[note]]Faster and has better defense than Ground but weaker attack, armed with double-bladed Storm Halberd that can creat powerful gale[[/note]], and Flame[[note]]Has SuperSenses and the best defense among basic forms, but is also the slowest. Stronger than Storm form but weaker than Ground form. Armed with Flame Saber which imbued with power of fire[[/note]]. The super forms are Trinity[[note]]Combine the advantages of the basic forms and wield both weapons[[/note]], Burning[[note]]Channel his fighting spirit in to burning flame, it is stronger and has better defense than Trinity form but is much slower, armed with dual-bladed Shining Caliber[[/note]], and Shining[[note]]Awakened by expose Burning form to the light of the sun. As strong as Burning form but is also the fastest, armed with Shining Caliber separated into two blades[[/note]].

** DoubleWeapon: Storm and Burning Forms
** DualWielding: Trinity Form and Shining Form

* WeaponOfChoice: Unlike the other main riders, G3/G3-X is powered armor and so he has a wider variety of weapons. It primarily covers ranged attacks.

* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga N·Daguva·Zeba]] was the EvilOverlord of the Gurongi Tribe who wants to [[ToCreateAPlaygroundForEvil turn humanity as violent as the Gurongi]], while the [=OverLord=] of Darkness was the AntiVillain God of the Unknowns and humanity who only tries to eliminate the vessel of Agito due to his fear of someone who will surpass him. Moreover, Daguva is a BadBoss to his own tribe who killed lower ranking members just for fun, while the [=OverLord=] of Darkness only punishes his minions if they commit a taboo of killing normal humans.
* DarkIsNotEvil: The [=OverLord=] of Darkness isn't exactly evil, just afraid humanity will overpower him and trying to wipe out those who could do so. [[spoiler:And in the end decides to let mankind move on.]]

* GodIsEvil: The [=OverLord=] of Darkness is actually the creator of humanity, who sees them as his pets. Though he's more of an AntiVillain than a straight villain.

* TurtlePower: Testudo Oceanus and Testudo Terrestris.

* KnifeNut: GK-06 Unicorn. An electromagnetic knife stored on G3-X's left arm that is approximately half as powerful as the GS-03 Destroyer - and he lands some hits with it too!

* DelayedReaction: Panteras Magistra, who seemingly shrugs off Agito's kick ([[BreastsAttack on her breasts no less]]) and confidently laughs...before she suddenly feel pain on her chest and explodes.
