* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: The Sensitive Guy to Numbuh 1 and 4's Manly Men. He's a light-hearted jokester, and the two boys are more tough and action-oriented than he is.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl:
** Tomboy to Numbuh 3's Girly Girl.
** Also has this dynamic with her sister Cree, taking in account their home's bedrooms. Cree has loads of pink stuff in contrast to Abby's more sports-oriented decor.

** A [[FridgeBrilliance fridge-brilliant]] one: Abraham Lincoln's face is also on the penny in U.S. currency. Pennies are worth one cent. Numbuh 5 was once Numbuh 1 of the Kids Next Door.

* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Vin Moosk. Originally skeptical of him due to being an adult, Moosk earns Numbuh 1's respect and friendship due to his genuine desire to rid kids of wearing ties. After Moosk sacrifices his tie-hunting personality to destroy the Queen Tie, Nigel goes out of his way to mail him a can of starch, ecstatic when he succeeds in reawakening his tie-hating self.

* HeroesWantRedheads: He dated Lizzie, a redhead.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: A retroactive one, where "Operation: W.A.S.H.I.N.G.T.O.N." has him trying to prove the future Numbuh 5 can trust him by admitting that he asked her to hack the Kids Next Door database to give him a passing grade and make him an operative. This explains his bumbling and rather poor performance in both flashbacks and the early series as a relatively fresh leader of Sector V: he was outright not ready for the position of authority and while he could tell the team to do something as a ''friend'', as a leader he was grossly incompetent. Then the Delightful Children from Down The Lane and Father all but forced him to [[TookALevelInBadass shape up or ship out]], and he really took off from there.

* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: In "Operation: M.A.U.R.I.C.E.", when Numbuh 2 objects to stopping a decommissioned Maurice from getting recruited by the Teen Ninjas, on the grounds that official KND rules forbid interfering with decommissioned operatives' lives, Numbuh 4's response is, "Who gives a crap?! Maurice was our friend!" Numbuh 1 agrees.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: The Manly Man to Numbuh 2's Sensitive Guy.

* ObliviousToHatred: The hate is not towards her, but to her favorite Rainbow Monkey toys as she fails to see and listen that Numbuh 4 makes it ''very clear'' to her that he hates the toy franchise she adores yet she ''still'' thinks it's a good idea to take him to a Rainbow Monkey themed fair in "Operation: H.U.G.S." or getting him a Reindeer Monkey for Christmas in "Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y." with the results obviously blowing up in her face.

* OneManArmy: Proves she's this in ''Operation V.I.R.U.S.'' when she takes down an entire teenager fleet of ships by herself while infected with Chickenpox by using a handful of explosives.

* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: His friends usually call him "Wally" more than his full name Wallabee.

* FreeRangeChildren: They often sleep in their treehouse headquarters and go all over the world and even to their organization's headquarters on the Moon. However, they still technically live with their parents, and later episodes occasionally show them hanging out in their own homes with their families a little bit more, and it even shows them going to school.

* BerserkButton: Do not insult the Rainbow Monkeys in front of her (that means ''you,'' Wally) and don't even mess with her plushies either. [[MamaBear Or her friends, or the hamsters, or Bradley.]]

* ObliviousToHatred: The hate is not towards her, but to her favorite Rainbow Monkey toys as she fails to see and listen that Numbuh 4 makes it very clear to her that he hates the toy franchise yet she ''still'' thinks it's a good idea to take him to a Rainbow Monkey themed fair in "Operation: H.U.G.S." or getting him a Reindeer Monkey for Christmas in "Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y." with the results not very pretty to her.

** Though he soon gets DrunkWithPower while Numbah 1 is absent in "Operation: C.A.N.N.O.N.", the whole reason he wants to build the clam cannon is because within ''mere minutes'' of Numbah 1's departure, multiple villains begin to assault the treehouse, and the defenses are either inactive or inoperable because Numbah 1 would usually be responsible for said countermeasures (though Numbah 3 having tea with their missiles, not to mention the others generally deciding Numbah 1's absence meant they could slack off, didn't help). He was totally right to be angry at that situation; he simply went down the wrong path, deciding to build a clam cannon on a sarcastic remark from Numbah 5 instead of simply learnign how to operate the existing defense systems.

* {{Workaholic}}: Completely dedicated to his job as a KND officer. He once stayed up for six days without any sleep fixing the treehouse's security system, to the point that Abby had to physically drag him away from the machine and force him to go to bed. Some episodes, including "Operation: D.A.T.E." and "Operation: B.E.A.C.H.", show him still trying to fight adult tyranny when he and his team are supposed to be on vacation.

* SweaterGirl: Always wears her trademark green sweater. She was even apparently born in it.

* UptownGirl: It's pretty subtle but compared to Wally, Kuki clearly comes from the more financially affluent family of the two with having successful parents (or at least a mother, who is the Head of Accounting at work), and her family lives in a fairly large house with a nice interior while Wally and his family resides in a much smaller house located in a more rundown neighborhood that is next to some electricity pylons. It is noted however that they are not necessarily rich and poor respectively, but more along the lines of upper-middle class and lower-middle class.

** Occasionally, Numbuh 4 is more brash and blunt thinking is actually more on-point than anyone else, even cutting to the thick of things when either everyone else was overthinking or oblivious to that angle. One case is when he's face to face with his negative self in charge of the Destructively Nefarious Kids, where he immediately understands how opposites work without prior context besides fighting his friend's negative versions - and points out that even if he's an IdiotHero, his opposite self has to be a DirtyCoward.
