* BreakHisHeartToSaveHim: An interesting platonic version - Moira makes Charles read her mind to see that throughout her lives, he's never changed; and if mutants are to survive as a species, his conceptions need to be broken, and built anew.

* MalevolentMaskedMen: His signature helmet, which looks a lot like ComicBook/TheMaker. Downplayed in the sense that he's not actually evil, but he is more ruthless than he's ever been.
* MindRape: Currently, the worst he's done is [[spoiler:messing with Reed Richards' mind to prevent him from building a device that hides the X-Gene again]]. He points out that this is a CruelMercy as he could have just erased his mind of the entire debacle, but he wants to prove a point.
* {{Realpolitik}}: Xavier abandons his long-held dream of a peaceful coexistence between mutants and humanity for the time being in order to establish Krakoa as a mutant state that can operate as a global superpower. To accomplish this goal, he's willing to greatly aid humanity with miracle drugs as long as they recognize Krakoa as a sovereign state. * TheAlliance: Krakoa is alliance of mutants, of all kinds and backgrounds (heroes, villains, neutrals) bound together to give mutantkind a home as they are set to become the majority.
* {{Conlang}}: Krakoa now has its own language, devised by Cypher, that is telepathically imprinted on any mutants who come to its main island. This language is shown throughout the comics.
* DiplomaticImpunity: Anyone, regardless of their moral fiber, is given amnesty just for being a mutant. There are some limits, as Reed makes it clear there will be issue if Cyclops tried to take back Sabretooth, and Cyclops backs out. That said, it's heavily implied to just be a delay more than anything.
* FantasyCounterpartCulture: According to WordOfGod, modern UsefulNotes/{{Israel}}. Specifically, how ideals can clash with the reality of politics in the attempt to build a "mutant nation."
* GeniusLoci: Krakoa is both the nation of the mutants and a mutant itself. Jean even notes that it "recognizes its own" as why mutants can come to it freely.
* HiddenElfVillage: Krakoa, a nation that only mutants can reside in. Humans must have permission from higher authorities to visit, and are unable to live there. Similarly, beings of other superpowered origins (such as mutates) like the Fantastic Four or Spider-Man also fall under this restriction. The only two known exceptions thus far of non-mutants living on Krakoa is the alien dragon Lockheed (more of a TeamPet than an actual individual of his own) and the techno-organic alien Warlock (considered a "mutant" of a sort for being different than the other members of his race). Notably, this restriction even appears to extend to past friends, allies and team members that weren't actually mutants; Omega Sentinel, a former member of the X-Men but not a mutant, was ''not'' extended the ability to reside there, which may partly explain why she now works against them as part of Orchis.
* PortalNetwork: Krakoa now has a type of flower that grows in an arch that teleports whoever it wishes to a paired flower in a remote location. They'll automatically transport mutants, but humans need mutants to ask permission to travel to the main island itself.
* TruceZone: Officially, Krakoa is this for all mutants. Everyone, regardless of legal status (hero, villain or whatever), can live on Krakoa so long as they don't cause trouble there. However, the amnesty offered only extends so far, and seems to be something revoked if it would cause too much trouble with others, such as Sabretooth's arrest by the Fantastic Four.

* FaceHeelTurn: Omega Sentinel was once a member of the X-Men, but now works ''against'' them as part of Orchis in the name of humanity's interests. It's suggested that the reason is due to the mutants' acting in a xenophobic manner that worries the public; Omega Sentinel, despite having been an X-Man, is ''not'' a mutant and was not given the right to be on the island. Though, considering all the moral ambiguity at play, HazyFeelTurn might be the accurate trope in the present.
