* ArcherArchetype: While she's not afraid to [[HeroesFightBarehanded fight without weapon]], her main weapon is an EnergyBow that can fire [[TrickArrow arrows inspired by the beam weapons found in the Metroid games]]: All of the arrows are chargeable (Charge Beam). Her blue arrows can freeze people (Ice Beam), her purple ones go through walls and barriers (Wave Beam), her pink ones split into three arrows (Spazer/Wide Beam), and her green ones go through enemies and are the deadliest (Plasma Beam). She also has a cyan one that she mainly uses as a grapple (Grapple Beam).

* DueToTheDead: They believe that death is a sacred part of the cycle of life and that dying in battle is honorable, but resurrecting the dead is upsetting the balance. Because of this, they have a low opinion on the nominators for "playing god" on the tributes and are set on "making them pay" for their "abuse" on the tributes even after data cloning was mandated for everyone starting in Season 258.

* BloodKnight: [[MeaningfulName Fittingly enough for his name]], Blood Moon is proud, very violent, and outright {{sadist}}ic, even amongst other Mawkin. Fire Eyes is usually the one to calm his bloodlust down. While he [[WasOnceAMan still had standards and could prove friendly before]], receiving X parasite's DNA greatly exaggerated his love for violence.

* DrivenToMadness: [[spoiler:When the nominators are forced to kill his partners on ZDR, he gleefully hunts and tortures them, swearing he would destroy every last one of them and giving in to his animalistic instincts, even when gravely injured by the heroes. When Fire Eyes reveals himself to be alive and against him, Blood Moon even turns against him. Knox had to [[BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind enter his head, just as Joaquin entered his father's head to confront Blood Moon]], to put an end to his rampage.]]

* DrivenToMadness: [[spoiler:When the nominators are forced to kill his partners on ZDR, he gleefully hunts and tortures them, swearing he would destroy every last one of them and giving in to his animalistic instincts, even when gravely injured by the heroes. When Fire Eyes reveals himself to be alive and against him, Blood Moon even turns against him. Knox had to [[BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind enter his head, just as Joaquin entered his father's head to confront Blood Moon, to put an end to his rampage.]]

** Besides using the Atomizer to shrink anyone with the bracer and turn them into liquid, Dark Stanford can also disintegrate them with the machine. He can completely vaporize his followers by fully disintegrating their atoms with their bracers, or by burning them if they're turned into liquid. Their atoms can no longer be retrieved after the procedure, killing them permanently. [[spoiler:He nearly disintegrated all the 'Brijes except for Knox for their defiance and their [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness "uselessness"]] after he forced Knox to show him his Full Alebrije form, unaware that Joaquin took the 'Brijes' vials away before they could be burned.]]
** He can also scatter the victim's fragments everywhere after Atomizing them, and while they can be partially restored, they'll remain in their shrunken state. [[spoiler:This is what he did with Kelby and Caedia: while most of Kelby's atoms were absorbed by Blood Moon to disguise as him, Georgina was able to restore Caedia. However, she was only able to turn the 50 Caedia atoms into 50 tiny versions of them.]]

* TheNapoleon: Is the same height as Light Stanford, but gets easily angered when his plans go awry. He only becomes more unhinged as Raven Beak continues manipulating him.
* NonIndicativeName: Although referred to as Dark Stanford, he has no currently known affiliation with the Dark Nominators. As a result, NTC prefers calling him ''Evil'' Stanford instead, also because he associates the "Dark" title with [[CastingAShadow actual darkness.]] [[spoiler:Dark Stanford is actually the Stanford from the Original Timeline, who got corrupted during the Great Destruction.]]

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Blood Moon has originally been infected by an X parasite and forced to torture and devour Brave Spear against his will. Brave Spear's last actions were able to destroy the X and prevent his lover from being eaten, but since then Blood Moon was forced by Raven Beak to become a hybrid between a Mawkin warrior and an X. Having killed Brave Spear also greatly traumatized his now unstable mind and he is prone to [[BerserkButton fits of anger]] whenever his former commander is mentioned.

* BloodBrothers: While his tribe are already close as warriors, he considers Blood Moon as his brother-in-arms.

When he can't hold his new form any longer, however, he turns into [[ShapeshifterMashup a horrific amalgamation of them]], as he did in front of Joaquin and [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Twilight]] in Coatl's castle.]]
* CopiedTheMoralsToo: [[spoiler:After spending a long time posing as Kelby in Belissima, Blood Moon found himself more patient with those around him, including children, something he was unable to do after his infection. Coincidentally, this came after Old Justice brought up [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Changelings]] suffering a ShapeshifterIdentityCrisis if they stay transformed for too long, which he theorizes is why their powers have a time limit. Unfortunately, these heroic traits didn't stick with him when Raven Beak lied to him that the nominators killed Fire Eyes, making him snap and reveal his true form to everyone in Belissima.]]

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite all of his bad traits, Blood Moon still cares a lot about the members of his squad, especially Fire Eyes, since they were BloodBrothers alongside Brave Spear, not to mention his attachment to his former commander. He is also very protective of them and can fly into a rage when one of them is injured.

* FauxAffablyEvil: [[spoiler:When Knox was forced to kill Joaquin in Coatl's castle and ends up breaking down because of it, [[PetTheDog Blood Moon temporarily tried to genuinely sympathize with him since he knows how he felt]], but he quickly snapped out of it and ordered him to finish off Joaquin's companions.]]

* HopeCrusher: He enjoys making Knox and Joaquin feel as hopeless as possible, so he ordered Dark Stanford to have Twilight vaporized in front of Joaquin[[spoiler:, though she thankfully escaped by having Light Stanford remove her bracer,]] and forced Knox to [[spoiler:kill his own son.]]

* IDidWhatIHadToDo: Said this word-for-word regarding why he [[spoiler:forced Knox to kill Joaquin. He blamed them for making him give in to his X instincts.]]

* KillAndReplace: His modus operandi is to devour any living being and shapeshift into them, copying not just their physical bodies and their powers, but also their personalities and memories by absorbing their DNA. When he gets hungry, [[EyeDentityGiveaway his eyes briefly flash white.]] [[spoiler:Blood Moon's plan to get into the Alebrijes' castle and get their dream crystal, the Hypnos-Stone, was to use his evolving X abilities to infect and completely replace an elite Alebrije. He does so with Chief Rodriguez and manipulates the Alebrijes to turn against Joaquin, Twilight, and their allies, [[CastFromSanity at the cost of more of his sanity.]] The worst part is that the plan ''worked'', with Dark Stanford now in possession of the Hypnos-Stone.]]

* NotSoDifferentRemark: He taunted Knox over their shared backstories of unwittingly killing their loved ones. With time, however, he started to believe this. [[spoiler:In his madness, he even plans to have him kill Joaquin, just as Blood Moon killed Brave Spear out of envy just so he would know how painful it feels. Later, Fire Eyes also guessed that Blood Moon acted horribly towards Knox because he was jealous of him.]]

* PuppeteerParasite: [[spoiler:To make sure that the Stanfords and Power's family would not escape Dark Stanford, Blood Moon infiltrated Eye-Sicle's lair disguised as Kelby, and infected Stef as well as Fair Trial, without killing them.]]

* StakingTheLovedOne: By far one of the more monstrous acts Blood Moon can do. Using his X parasite DNA, he can control people's bodies and force them to fight and torture to the death their loved ones. The worst part is that he ''enjoys'' this a lot. This is partially explained by his murder of Brave Spear against his will. [[spoiler:As such, he intended for Knox to ''devour'' Joaquin too, so that the coyote truly "understands" him.]]
* {{Troll}}: When he is being low-key with his sadism, such as when [[spoiler:he is disguised as Kelby while infiltrating Belissima]], he deliberately refuses to help his "allies". For example, he psychically taunted Stef that he wouldn't help her and the others find the colt who pulled a pie prank on them for April Fool's, simply because Blood Moon finds their struggles amusing.

* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:Completely broke down and turned into an eldritch mess composed of the victims he ate when Twilight and Joaquin escaped prison during the invasion at the Alebrijes' Land of Dreams. He then reformed and shapeshifted into Rodriguez to attend the trial being held by Coatl, vowing to have Dark Stanford vaporize Twilight to make Joaquin feel hopeless.]]
** [[spoiler:He went through another one in Ichi's bunker and Belissima after Raven Beak lied to him about Fire Eyes's death. Stef and Fair Trial managed to convince him to stop his RoaringRampageOfRevenge, but Blood Moon promised this was the last time he would show mercy to the nominators.]]

* WorthyOpponent: Despite his madness, Blood Moon is still an incredibly proud Chozo warrior and can (albeit rarely) acknowledge how dangerous his opponents are. [[spoiler:This happened during his fight with Chief Rodriguez in the Land of the Alebrijes where he didn't use his X abilities and beheaded him instead of devouring him painfully alive, considering him as someone worthy to die only by his spear. Even after his death, he still regards him rather highly compared to most of his victims.]]

* DropTheHammer: His main weapon is a huge hammer that he can use to smash things, or protect himself and his comrades. When charging energy, he can generate powerful explosions with it. He is also specialized with [[ThrowDownTheBomblet dropping bombs or outright Power Bombs, though he doesn't use those a lot being a mainly defensive warrior]].

* GoodProstheticEvilProsthetic: His beak isn't natural and is actually made of steel. What happened to his real beak is unknown.

* LackOfEmpathy: Raven Beak didn't hesitate to threaten of harming the Stanfords's loved ones ([[WouldHurtAChild children, Stef's kids included]]) should they dare defy him and Dark Stanford. [[WouldHarmASenior His relationship with Quiet Robe is no better, as he doesn't hesitate to harm his prisoner.]]

* PraetorianGuard: The chieftain of the tribe has 10 elite soldiers that serve as his bodyguards and are chosen for their battle skills and complete obedience. Raven Beak allow them to dwell on Itorash, his flying headquarters.

* BerserkButton: He hates it when one of his counterparts is too clever or copies "his" technology. [[spoiler:He also has a deep hatred for Lucian and Oscar after their escape.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: With [[VideoGame/MetroidDread Raven Beak]] since Raven Beak struck an alliance with him to provide him with additional reinforcements to further his goals.

* MechaMooks: He managed to create several robots by infusing [[VideoGame/MetroidDread war or patrolling drones from the Mawkin tribe]] (the most powerful ones being the Robot Chozo Soldiers) with [[spoiler:Voidlands energy]], creating the Atomozoids, fearsome robots that can absorb the atoms of others and possess the fighting prowesses of the original versions.

* TheDragon: He replaces [[spoiler:Liv Octavia]] as Dark Stanford's bodyguard and second-in-command.

* MercyKill: [[spoiler:On the receiving end as she knew that she was somehow going to turn into a Nightmare Alebrije, and when she did, Freyja had no choice but to blast her with [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Hyper Beam]] before she could kill everyone in her way.]]

* WolverineClaws:[[MeaningfulName True to his name]], his main method of attack consists of combining his speed with his sharp enhanced claws and ending his opponents as fast as possible.

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: With Raven Beak and Dark Stanford after the former [[CapturedSuperEntity forced them to join him]] using a version of the latter's bracer, and with the latter being a scientist. Elfilis clearly has their own agenda and were forced to join if they wanted to live. [[spoiler:Eventually, they conspire with Vilgax and Skarbick (the villainous [[Franchise/{{Metroid}} Space Pirate]] counterpart of Stanford against Dark Stanford.]]
