* EverybodyHatesHades: Surprisingly {{play|ingWithATrope}}ed with despite the series generally staying true to the mythologies. Hades is not an evil being, rather he operates on BlueAndOrangeMorality. True to his myth, he believes the dead should remain dead, so it annoys him when the other pantheons continually revive the dead or reincarnate them. He in turn considers reincarnated beings as "fakes" and the other pantheons an "annoyance" for interfering with the Greek Pantheon, even denouncing Zeus for agreeing to work with them. So while he is largely true to his myth in regards to mortals, he is portrayed more antagonistically due to the cast being comprised of the supernatural.

* KickTheDog: In ''[=BorN=]'', he inflicts a curse on the Gremory house and forces Rias to fight Issei in the season finale.

* AntiquatedLinguistics: Like her daughter, she uses archaic Japanese, including the personal pronoun "warawa" for herself.

* OneWingedAngel: She can transform into her true form, the Nine-Tailed Fox, when it's necessary.

* ExtremityExtremist: His fighting style revolves around kicks [[spoiler: combined with his NiceShoes he is comparable to Thor.]]

* NiceShoes: He has a pair of Mystical Boots he got from Odin to fight against Fenrir.

* AsianFoxSpirit: Considered the highest class of {{Yokai}}, she she has fox ears and nine tails, and her true form is a kitsune over 10 meters tall.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Gave Saji a run for his money at Kyoto and blasts away one of the Bandersnatch during the invasion of the Underworld in Volume 12.

* DistressedDamsel: Causes a lot of problems at Kyoto thanks to Cao Cao and the Hero Faction kidnapping her.

* SimpleStaff: He wields one of these as weapon, and it can extend to whatever length he likes.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Issei mentally acknowledges that her concern over Longinus users isn't unfounded given the Underworld crisis caused by Annihilation Maker and much of Qlippoth's actions stemming from the Holy Grail (though it's also pretty hypocritical when she's brainwashed Ingvild to make use of her Longinus).

* {{Kitsune}}: Considered the highest class of {{Yokai}}, she she has fox ears and nine tails, and her true form is a kitsune over 10 meters tall.

* FragileSpeedster: He claims that Issei or Vali could easily reduce him to ashes if they managed to land a decent shot. Keyword being "if". Even then, his stopping the strongest weapons among a group of god-killing tools with a single finger implies that he was just being humble.

* BadassBeard: He has a long beard made of fur.

* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Portrayed more as a nigh-unstoppable force of nature than a character.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Of the entire series. While not involved directly on the story, the impact that Trihexa had caused a great presence. It battled with the God and severely injured enough to kill him after its seal by the latter. It later becomes the greatest threat to the protagonists ant the final volume.

* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Turns himself into a shapely woman [[spoiler:to torment Issei while he's been stripped of his lust.]]

The NumberOfTheBeast of the story, having been sealed long ago.

* Shameless Fanservice Girl: She doesn’t mind letting Issei see her naked and get intimate with him in the sauna.

* TheGhost: Mentioned a couple of times by Ruma Ydura, Garvarudan and Issei's kids but doesn't appear expect for an arm.

The novels in particular only have him offhandedly mention Ragnarok once, complaining that Odin's intent on allying with other mythologies will get in the way. Lampshaded by Issei, who can't imagine what motivation he could possibly have for wanting to end the world. Vali suggests that there are simply people ([[BloodKnight like himself]]) who can't stand peace.
