Added DiffLines:

* FusionDance: While their shapeshifting abilities are otherwise flawless, they mostly avert ShapeshifterBaggage, so at one point, they shapeshift together into a singular female pegasus, with Panic forming the front half and Pain forming the back.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalUgliness: Descriptions of Echidna in mythology vary, but she's often said to look like a beautiful nymph with the body of a serpent or dragon. Here, she's a monstrously hideous kaiju like her husband, though she ''does'' keep the serpentine dragon motif.

Added DiffLines:

* LizardFolk: Possibly crossing over with SnakePeople -- Medusa not only has snakes for hair, but also scales, fangs and reptilian eyes.

The Titans from Pagan are the overarching antagonists, portrayed as four elemental monsters who terrorized Ancient Greece. They were the physical manifestation of the element they controlled. There's Lythos, the Earth Titan; Pyros, the Fire Titan; Hydros, the Water Titan; Stratos, the Wind Titan; and... the Cyclops, who doesn't get an element.

* HenpeckedHusband: Even though he is the most powerful of the Olympian gods, he finds himself in this position with Hera, who forces him to attend Hades' pool party, citing that Hades is his brother and it would be rude to not go.

* AdaptationalComicRelief: In the original mythology, Hades is dour, humorless, and TheStoic to the point that his very rare tears are described as being of iron. This version of Hades acts like a fast-talking used car salesman and has a bitter or snarky quip for virtually everything.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Hades was not an enemy of Hercules in the original myths, nor did he ever try to overthrow Zeus (believe it or not Hades is actually one of the ''nicer'' Gods in Greek mythology, although he was still not someone to cross). Here, he's the slimy and treacherous BigBad.

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: For all their bumbling, they DO manage to kidnap Hercules and turn him mortal. The two would have fed him the last drop if the two humans had not shown up, and had Herc drank the last drop, they would have killed him and the two humans too, who would be hopeless against their snake forms. They also manage to capture [[spoiler:Pegasus]], and Hermes, and in the ''WesternAnimation/HouseOfMouse'' episode "Jimminy Cricket" they even manage to break-up the titular conscience with Pinocchio.

** In the animated series, it happens often either way, whether Hercules is brave then afraid of the monster he faces, or vice versa. In "Hercules and the Big Kiss", Hercules is afraid of Doubt but bravely faces him afterwards. In "Hercules and the Underworld Takeover", Hercules is afraid of a giant serpent in the River Styx but bravely faces him afterwards. In "Hercules and the Son of Poseidon", he confronts a three-headed sea serpent, only to be nervous after seeing the monster up close and is initially easily defeated. In "Hercules and the Long Nightmare", Hercules had a dream of his adult and teenaged self being attacked by a three-headed Hydra. When Morpheus asks for Hercules' help against Phantasos, Hercules mentioned how the Hydra was "as scary as they come". Both Hercules and Phil face Phantasos, who transforms into the Hydra. Hercules overcame his fear, and bravely defeats the monster. After stopping Phantasos, Hercules told Morpheus that because of the dreams, he wouldn't be afraid if he ever faced a real Hydra, that tackling it in his dreams made it less frightening.

* HopeBringer: Hercules serves as this in-story, as his boundless desire to be a true hero and earnest friendlyness ends up causing generally jaded and cynical characters like Meg and Phil to have TookALevelInIdealism and even turns the WretchedHive of Thebes into a shining city by saving it repeatedly from monsters and disasters. He even serves as this to the Gods, as his arrival grants them a second wind to defeat Hades and the Titans.
