Vox did win his first fight with Alastor 7 years ago, but only barely.

** Vox actually subverts this trope for the most part, being the most level-headed one of the trio who usually knows to avoid a confrontation way above his weight class but all of that rationality evaporates the second Alastor is so much as mentioned. Despite already losing to the Radio Demon in the past, Vox still takes the first opportunity he has to try and smear Alastor's name and declare himself superior, only to be trounced the second Alastor enters the ring.

!Overlords of Hell
----
[[folder:In General]]

* DealWithTheDevil: One way they gain their power is by making deals with other sinners to own their souls.
* DemonLordsAndArchdevils: They are the most powerful sinners in Hell and rule over it.
* TheDon: While some of the more natural-born DemonLordsAndArchdevils operate like the aristocracy, the Overlords operate more like a collective crime-family, being sinners who have made something of themselves and now run Pentagram City through enterprise like weapons and the media.
* EvilIsOneBigHappyFamily: They are all powerful members of Hell and the current crop gets along with each other, having meetings in a boardroom. The Vees are an exception, behaving antagonistic to the others.
* TheModernGods: While not as powerful as Hell's aristocracy, the Overlords are a faction with a growing amount of influence among the sinners and hold their power (and have powers) through relatively new industries. Alastor's power is over radio, Vox is related to television, Velvette on social media, etc.
* NouveauRiche: Unlike the Seven Deadly Sins or the Ars Goetia, the Overlords had accumulated their power and authority themselves, being masters over certain enterprises (weapons, tech, pornography, etc.) that keeps the Pride Ring running.
* PragmaticVillainy: They are opposed to the extermination due to the fact they get their power from deals with souls, and the Exorcists cut into that. That being said Carmilla genuinely cares about the citizens of Hell.
[[/folder]]

!!!The Vees
[[folder:In General]]

* AlphabeticalThemeNaming: All three of their names start with the letter "V", and that's why they're called the Vees.
* BadBoss: They all treat their employees terribly; while Velvette has been shown doing nothing worse than fire them on a whim and shows apathy towards Valentino dismembering one, Vox actively finds employees for Val to shoot when he's angry, to say nothing of Val's behavior towards his on-screen talent.
* BigBadEnsemble: They are the main threats other than the Exorcists.
* BigBadWannabe: Carmilla derides them as "smug wannabees" and Alastor suggests that their only strength lies in their alliance. The only threat they pose is to their unfortunate employees.
* CoDragons: Vox is the leader with Valentino and Velvette have roughly equal rank below him.
* FatalFlaw: Impulsivity. All of the Vees are shown to have a rather poor handle on their emotions (to varying degrees).
** Valentino is the most impulsive one, and the other Vees have to reign in his temper where it could cause them problems.
** Velvette is shown to be smarter than she initially lets on, but she's also shown to act childish and shortsighted; seeing as Velvette thinks it a bright idea [[spoiler: to take up arms against the angels, once it's revealed they can be killed, without having any idea who killed them or how it was done, which could land them in far more trouble than they already have on their hands (something the other Overlords are quick to point out)]].
** Vox acts the most calm and charming out of all of them (partly due to him being the face of the trio); but all reason completely goes out the window the moment [[ArchEnemy Alastor]] is brought up, causing him to act rashly against the radio demon, which comes to bite him immediately.
* FreudianTrio: Valentino is the Id, Vox is the Superego, and Velvette is the Ego.
** Valentino is easily angered, threw a tantrum where he ripped one of Velvette's models to shreds, planned on going in guns blazing into the Hazbin Hotel, and is a prolific rapist giving into his base desires.
** Vox is the CEO of a tech corporation and is generally more calm and collected than the other two, except when his rival Alastor is concerned. He was also the one who schemed putting Sir Pentious into the Hotel to act as a spy. He also cares the most about his public image, giving him caution.
** Velvette is the one who asked Vox to calm down Valentino acting as a bridge between them. She behaves like an immature teenager, but is rather perceptive.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: All three Vees are this to the other Overlords who see them as arrogant upstarts who don't pay the older Overlords the respect they're owed. Carmilla especially seems to have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to them.
* NewMediaAreEvil: At least in comparison to the NobleDemon Alastor, who's based off the older technology of radio. Vox is based on the television and is constantly chasing trends and allies himself with Valentino who's into the porn industry relying on [[SexSlave Sex Slaves]], and Velvette who is a BadInfluencer and also abusive to her staff. Vox's screens are also capable of hypnosis and act as a surveillence system.
* SmugSnake: While powerful, they're also arrogant about said power and refuse to respect the Overlords that have been around for much longer. Carmilla even refers to them as "smug wannabes" during "Respectless".
** Valentino was ready to march over to the hotel and shoot it up out of rage that Angel had moved in there, even though the place is run by the ''Princess of Hell'', someone much higher up on the totem pole than Val or either of his friends, and presently home to Alastor. It seems due to being surrounded by YesMan and frightened abused employees he's come to the conclusion that he's a bigger deal than he actually is and can do whatever he wants. This one is especially bad because Val ''is'' smart enough to know not to mess with Charlie when he's more level-headed.
** Velvette thinks nothing of casually provoking a room full of older and likely much more powerful Overlords, even claiming she could take them all on in a fight which is ''very'' unlikely, seemingly because she thinks being part of the much younger and currently ever more popular Vees gives her an edge. As Alastor demonstrates during the QuarrelingSong with Vox, the Vees might be the hot new thing at the moment but when it comes to an actual confrontation with an older Overlord they're still very easily overpowered.
* VillainousFriendship: They form a tight knit trio and appear to be close friends. Their interactions on their Instagram accounts hint that they don’t have the healthiest friendship dynamic, frequently being petty and cruel towards each other.

Vox is one of the major antagonists in the series and one of the Overlords of Hell, with a technological theme.
----
* AllThereInTheScript: Although unnamed in the pilot, his name was first revealed in [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=88eEqclaDxU&t=2211s a stream]].
* AnimalMotifs: His main motif is technology, but he also has a mild association with sharks, with sharp large teeth and several ThreateningShark pets in a tank.
* ArchEnemy: Vox and Alastor really don’t get along, among other things due to their different views on technology.
* AttentionWhore: In the Australian charity stream, he is stated by Viv to crave attention. According to Faustisse, due to having [[VillainousCrush a great passion for Alastor]] [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=4nbdDgqKCYA?t=4160 he does whatever he can to get him to notice him]].
* BigBadEnsemble: He's one of Hell's Overlords and is one of the series' major villains alongside fellow Overlords, Valentino and Velvette. His main target of antagonism is Alastor.
* BigBrotherIsWatching: He can watch people through his screens.
* BloodFromTheMouth: Blood occasionally trickles from his mouth.
* CharacterBlog: He had an official Instagram account called [[https://instagram.com/voxtagram_8k/ voxtagram_8k]]. Following the archival of the account of Octavia from ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'' due to [[https://archive.is/X3Fp3/7f3917ed32b56714dc1cda75d38062f80b09846e.jpg certain]] [[https://archive.is/X3Fp3/580a84dd573b0c5990ca75b49d996de96426b44f.jpg matters]] however, his account was archived as well and pretty much retired.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: The character blogs present him on the receiving end of an abusive relationship with Valentino, but in the show proper, they not only seem amicable, but Vox comes across as the slightly more dominant personality in their relationship. He even gets visibly angry when Val considers visiting the hotel and rather sternly tells him not to (although Val ignores Vox's anger on the subject).
* CommonalityConnection: According to Viv in [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=7Og-fDrHfQE&t=6810 a charity stream]] for Australia wildfire relief, Vox gets along really well with his fellow Overlord Velvette because they both keep up with modern trends and the march of technology.
* ConArtist: He offers his customers "Angel Defense" technology that he claims is being developed, but has no intention of actually following through on it.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: He's the CEO of Vogitek, a tech company, but uses his power to watch over the residents of Hell.
* DarkIsEvil: He wears a black tuxedo and a black top hat. He's also confirmed to be one of the major antagonists in the series and one of Hell's most powerful Overlords.
* TheDreaded: Other demons are scared to be near Vox when he gets angry, even when his anger isn’t directed towards them specifically.
* EarlyBirdCameo: He can be seen hiding out in Valentino's studio during the opening montage of "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" waiting out the extermination. He also appears during Vaggie's re-telling of Alastor's backstory, showing him rising above the other demon Overlords.
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: InUniverse. The Alastor prequel comic reveals that he can see and hear people through tv screens, as well as take over the transmission and appear in person.
* HypnoticEyes: Fitting for a demon with a TV screen for a head, hIs left eye can turn into a spiral that he uses to control his viewers. In Vox's debut episode, he hypnotizes a bunch of reporters wanting his opinion on the Executioners' shortened deadline.
* HypocriticalHumor:
** He posts a picture on his Instagram chastising Valentino for messily shoving a burger down his mouth, but a post by Velvette shows he isn't much for manners either.
** In "Radio Killed the Video Star," Vox manages to successfully talk Valentino out of storming the Hotel in a fit of jealous rage...only to immediately get pissed when Val reveals that ''Alastor'' is also staying at the Hotel. Then, Vox's desperate attempts to get his viewers to ignore Alastor in "Stayed Gone" only attract the attention of the Radio Demon, whose subsequent [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech verbal dressing-down]] of the Overlord shows that despite his claims, Vox cares ''very'' deeply about what Alastor thinks about him.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: In "Stayed Gone", Vox acts like he's the hot new act in Hell and has toppled Alastor in terms of popularity and power, but his frequent claims that Alastor is old news come across as really desperate and trying too hard, which Alastor is quick to demonstrate by completely upstaging him.
* InSeriesNickname: According to Viv in [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=7Og-fDrHfQE&t=14024 a charity stream]] for Australia wildfire relief, Vox is just his nickname just like with many other characters such as his fellow Overlord, Velvette.
* LoveMartyr: {{Downplayed}}. On his Instagram, he's depicted in an on-off-relationship with Valentino, who seems to have a habit of striking him. Vox acts snarky about it, but he never appears to have the heart to end the relationship for good.
* MassHypnosis: It's implied that he can control his viewers directly through his programs, along with [[HypnoticEyes just hypnotizing them directly]].
* MotorMouth: The first half of his main verse in "Stayed Gone" has him attempting to discredit Alsator while jumping from program to program, his words going a mile a minute. Unfortunately for Vox, Alastor is more than capable of [[AlwaysSomeoneBetter keeping up with him]].
* NonHumanHead: His head is a giant flat-screen tv. A background photo shows it used to be a older clunkier television.
* PetTheDog: His Instagram shows that he has a large pet shark, [[AllAnimalsAreDogs that acts like a]] BigFriendlyDog. He clearly loves it and one of his posts is of the things he's bought for it.
* PragmaticVillainy: When Val starts throwing a tantrum over feeling scorned by Angel Dust, Vox goes and talks him down from storming the hotel. Not because he gives a single fuck about Angel Dust, the hotel, or any casualties that may be accrued from Val's wrath but because [[SlaveToPR it would make the Vees and their business look bad if any of them started freaking out over one out-of-control employee]]. Of course then Val reveals Alastor is also staying at the hotel [[HypocriticalHumor and all of that goes out the window]].
* RelationshipRevolvingDoor: The character Instagrams depict Vox and Valentino in a ''very'' unhealthy on-again, off-again relationship. They constantly break up for a variety of reasons ranging from the petty to the more serious, yet they keep getting back together.
* SignatureSoundEffect: Contrasting with Alastor's radio sound effects, Vox is accompanied by various tv sounds, such as the sounds of a tv screen turning on/off, or screen warbling.
* SmugSnake: Besides Alastor beating him easily in their QuarrelingSong "Stayed Gone", which hints at a InferioritySuperiorityComplex towards the other Overlord, he also implies that Vox would have nowhere near the power he does without the support of the other two Vees, and Velvette and Valentino don't seem to disagree.
* {{Technopath}}: According to Faustisse, he can control the electrical current in machines and can even cause [[BigBlackout hell-wide blackouts]] when he loses his temper.
* TechnologyMarchesOn: InUniverse. He has a flat-screen tv for a head but a photo [[FreezeFrameBonus in the background]] reveals that his head used to be large and boxy like televisions from previous decades.
* TelephoneTeleport: Can teleport through cameras and [=TVs=] to any other location with the same.
* ThreateningShark: As seen on [[https://instagram.com/voxtagram_8k/ his Instagram page]], Vox owns a pet demon Hammerhead Shark that acts like a {{Big Friendly Dog}}.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Due to [[BerserkButton his absolute hatred]] for [[ArchEnemy Alastor]], Vox seems to firmly believe that the seven years Alastor spent on his "sabbatical" means that he'll able to utterly trounce his ArchEnemy once for all and prove himself superior to Alastor. From what we see in their interactions with each other, Vox is drastically ''over''estimating himself while just as drastically ''under''estimating Alastor. If anything, in "Radio Killed The Video Star" it's all but stated that Alastor is merely toying with Vox and may be even more powerful now than when they last fought (in which he "almost beat" Vox, by Val's account).
* VillainousCrush: Faustisse revealed in one of their streams that Vox has a one-sided crush on Alastor and is pretty desperate to get attention from him.
* WalkingTechbane: Being a technological demon, this is a given. When sufficiently enraged, Vox can induce Hell-wide blackouts.
* WomanScorned: ''Man'' Scorned technically, but his rivalry with Alastor has shades of this. Vox invited the Radio Demon to align with the Vees, implied to be an excuse to spend more time together, but Alastor turned him down flat. Furious at being snubbed, Vox is determined to discredit and destroy Alastor at any cost.
* YellowLightningBlueLightning: His picture above shows him crackling with blue tendrils of electricity.

Velvette is a selfie-obsessed Overlord, who is an associate of Valentino and Vox.
----
* AllThereInTheScript: Although unnamed in the pilot, her name was first revealed in a post on Viv's Patreon.
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Throws out several of these to Carmilla during "Respectless" about why the Overlords are still so reluctant to fight the Exorcists even after being given clear proof that killing them is possible. The last one gets Carmilla so on the ropes she ends the meeting then and there due to not having an answer.
-->'''Velvette:''' ''Thanks to my being respectless,\\
One thing I'm starting to suspect is,\\
You know why this angel's headless,\\
Do you have a disclosure?''
* AxCrazy: According to a stream by Faustisse, she is the craziest of the "V" trio.
* BadInfluencer: She is a social media influencer, and also an Overlord of Hell who is a BadBoss to her servants.
* BigBadEnsemble: She's one of Hell's Overlords and is one series' major villains alongside fellow Overlords, Valentino and Vox. Her main target of antagonism is her fellow Overlord Carmilla.
* BloodKnight: After finding the dead exorcist, Velvette immediately tries to rally the other Overlords into fighting back against the angels in the next meeting and is noticeably frustrated with their reluctance to do so.
* BullyingADragon: Spends the entirety of the Overlord meeting mouthing off to and disrespecting the older Overlords, all of which have been in Hell much longer and have a much more stable base of power than her and the other Vees. Velvette even arrogantly declares she could "eat them for breakfast" in "Respectless". If any of them had at any point decided they'd had enough of Velvette's bratty attitude, she most likely wouldn't have walked out of the meeting room in one piece.
* CharacterBlog: She had an official Instagram account called [[https://instagram.com/radvelvetcakes/ radvelvetcakes]]. Following the archival of the account of Octavia from ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'' due to [[https://archive.is/X3Fp3/7f3917ed32b56714dc1cda75d38062f80b09846e.jpg certain]] [[https://archive.is/X3Fp3/580a84dd573b0c5990ca75b49d996de96426b44f.jpg matters]] however, her account was archived as well and pretty much retired.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Her personality pre-main series suggested she was more of a PsychopathicWomanchild, looking and acting much younger than she actually is and being more cheerful. In the series proper, she's a lot more dour and annoyed, acting more like a bitchy fashionista, and demonstrates herself to be the brains of the Vs.
* CommonalityConnection: According to Viv in [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=7Og-fDrHfQE&t=6810 a charity stream]] for Australia wildfire relief, she and Vox get along due to keeping up with modern trends and technology.
* CreepyDoll: She’s a doll demon.
* CuteLittleFangs: In contrast to the shark tooth grins her closest friends sport.
* DarkIsEvil: She has a darkish color scheme and is an Overlord associated with Vox and Valentino.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She can be seen hiding out in Valentino's studio with him and Vox during the extermination in the pilot's opening montage.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: She has the most radical departure from her pilot design.
* ElegantGothicLolita: Her pilot outfit seems inspired by the fashion style.
* EvilBrit: She has a British accent.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Her Instagram once had her eat a lollipop that fell on the floor.
* GirlishPigtails: During episode 4 she wears a very large pair of these, which are loosely styled to resemble a heart. Falls a bit into the "crazy pigtails" variation given her advocating violence against the angels.
* GothGirlsKnowMagic: In the Australian Wildlife Charity Relief Stream, she is stated by Viv to be good at making potions, while looking like a stereotypical goth girl.
* TheFashionista: She is a fashion designer, or at least has the ability to summon new clothes on her models.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Her official Instagram depicts her as a goofy and social individual despite her status as an Overlord of Hell. However in the show proper she is a BadBoss who verbally abuses her employees.
* KickTheDog: [[https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/748605801010036807/794274123068866580/20201107_092930.jpg?width=360&height=427 During one of Blitzo's art stream]], she makes a cruel comment about not recognizing the doodle of Angel, because he lacked any sign of fear (all but stating she knows that [[BadBoss Val is abusive to him]], [[LackOfEmpathy but thinks it's funny]]).
* OlderThanTheyLook: Her behaviour on her Instagram account made her come across rather childish, and combined with her pilot design, it was hard to tell exactly how old she was. However, it was revealed in [[https://archive.vn/xInSJ/b8fdb8d488bdddacc1140d21e329d997ef0757b5.png one of Valentino's Instagram posts]] that she’s actually the same age as him and Vox.
* PerkyGoth: She dresses very goth-like, while being upbeat and energetic.
* PrimpOfContempt: Mockingly checks her nails during the song "Respectless".
* PsychopathicWomanchild: As stated in OlderThanTheyLook, she's about the same age as Vox and Valentino, but her personality is both rather childish and pretty unhinged.
* SassyBlackWomen: Downplayed given ''everyone'' in this setting is sassy, but she stands out for getting a whole song about how "respect less" she is.
* SelfieFiend: She is seen taking a selfie with Vox, while hiding out in Valentino's porn studio during the extermination.
* ShipperOnDeck: Comments left by her on various character Instagram posts reveal that she supports Valentino and Vox being together, even if it appears they have a pretty toxic relationship.
* StatuesqueStunner: Zigzagged. In some Instagram posts Velvette is shown to stand almost as tall as Vox, who is 7ft tall, which would put her at around 6'10. However, some subsequent artwork shows she is a little bit more than half as tall as Valentino, who's a bit below 10 feet, which would put Velvette at 5'6. Whether the first or the second is the more accurate representation of her Height is yet unknown.
* SmarterThanYouLook: During the meeting with the other Overlords, Velvette immediately notices Carmilla's strange reaction to the decapitated head of the Exorcist and points out how weird it is for Carmilla, who profits from war, to be against taking up arms against the angels now that the Overlords know they ''can'' be killed.
* SmugSnake: It's pointed out that her plan to get Hell to take up arms against Heaven now that they know that the Exorcists ''can'' be killed is shortsighted and foolish, given their lack of intelligence on the matter, and would likely lead to a brutal reprisal from Heaven (especially since we know that that's why Adam is moving up the schedule to begin with). She also mocks and insults the older Overlords to their faces, which is rather foolish given what Alastor alone can do, and how she correctly suspects that Carmilla is the one who killed the angel.
* SupremeChef: In the Australian Wildlife Charity Stream, Viv states that she's a really good cook.
* UnlimitedWardrobe: Being TheFashionista, in every episode she's been in so far she's had a different outfit and hairstyle.
* VillainHasAPoint: While she's far from likable, Velvette is correct when pointing out how big the loss from the previous extermination was and how they should mount a counterattack. Carmilla isn't even capable of refuting her when she correctly deduces that Carmilla knows more about the death of the Exorcist than she's letting on.
* WickedHeartSymbol: Not as prominent as with Valentino, but she has some heart symbols on her skirt and is an AxCrazy [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils Overlord]].
* TheWomanBehindTheMan: While Vox seems to be the face of the Vees, Velvette appears to be the brains. During "Respectless", she flat-out calls herself "the backbone of the Vees".

Valentino is the owner of the Porn Studio Angel works at and one of the Overlords of Hell.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: His advances on Angel are not at all welcome. He also slobbers on Charlie and aggressively offers to make her a pornstar, something she's immediately repulsed by.
* AllThereInTheScript: While unnamed in the pilot, his name was revealed in the prequel comic whose first seven pages were released a short time prior the pilot's premiere.
* AnimalMotifs: Like Vaggie, he's a moth demon, though the motif is more explicit with him - he's got prominent black and white patterns on his clothes, six limbs, fuzzy antennae, and has a big ruff that resembles the thick fur many moths have. He also [[https://twitter.com/Hat_Teeth/status/1748783721711571285 squeaks like one]].
* ArchEnemy: To Angel Dust, since Valentino and his cruel, possessive treatment of him are the entire reason why Angel is so miserable. Angel despises him, but can't get out of his grasp.
* BadBoss: He's extremely possessive of Angel to the point he barely lets him out of the studio and threatens him when he leaves without permission. He also made Angel get back to work ''right after the extermination'', which was incredibly dangerous. The "ADDICT" music video also shows that Valentino regularly forces Angel to have sex with him.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: His Instagram showed him acquiring a little toy dog-cum-housefly looking creature, naming it Queef, and after it annoyed him, shooting it.
* BigBadEnsemble: He's slated to be one of the major antagonists of the series alongside his fellow Overlords, Vox and Velvette. He's also the BigBad of "ADDICT", which reveals his sexual abuse of Angel.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: He's a tall moth demon.
* BlowingSmokeRings: Usually forming heart-shapes. His powers allow him to manipulate the smoke into solid objects, such as forming chains around Angel's wrists or neck.
* BullyingADragon:
** Got into a fight with [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils Stolas]] on Instagram. Stolas is a Goetia, a royal demon who’s inherently more powerful than any overlord demon can ever become.
** He actively antagonizes Charlie who is perhaps the third-most powerful being in all Hell. If not for Angel, Valentino might've been reduced to an ashen stain on the wall.
* CapeWings: A variation. His pimp suit is actually his moth wings. When they’re folded down his back they look more like the standard model.
* CharacterBlog: He had an official Instagram account called [[https://instagram.com/moth_pimp/ moth_pimp]]. After noticing that one of his posts got deleted however, he [[https://archive.is/7JGJi/ad2baecaf0c162b36404d62b0b72c2759b83732d.jpg threatened to leave the site]] if it happened again. It did happen again and he [[https://archive.vn/ypF9l/224a743ed20f087cd6b277b5c8f014e9cdf6791c.png made good with the threat]] by deleting all of his posts, effectively rendering his account dead.
* ControlFreak: The prequel comic reveals that he is very controlling of Angel, even trying keep him in the studio most of the time. He flips out when he realizes Angel has moved into the hotel and would have shot the place up had Vox not talked some sense into him.
* CoolShades: He wears a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses as part of his pimp getup.
* DealWithTheDevil: He made one with Angel, forcing Angel to work for him.
* DepravedBisexual: He’s confirmed by Vivziepop to be pansexual, and he’s also a pimp who sexually abuses those who work under him, namely Angel. In episode 4 when he meets Charlie he grossly licks her arm without consent and tries to push her into doing porn for him.
* DirtyCoward: When he first interacts with Charlie, he's rational enough to realize that doing anything to piss her off would end badly. Instead, he abuses Angel in private and gaslights him into protecting him from Charlie.
* ADogNamedDog: Not the demon himself, but captions for an episode of [[WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss the sister series]] state that the little horsefly/Chihuahua hybrids running around Hell are called quieves, singular queef. Val's pet Queef, seen in his Voxtagram story, fits the bill.
* DomesticAbuser: He's shown to be an abusive partner to those he's romantically or sexually involved with:
** As Angel's pimp, Valentino exploits him [[FinancialAbuse financially]] and [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil sexually]]. He is also a ControlFreak, who doesn’t tolerate Angel straying too far from his studio or talking back to him.
** He's in a relationship with Vox in supplementary material prior to the main series, and it's heavily implied that he subjects him to physical abuse. He's not the slightest bit apologetic about it either, going so far as [[https://archive.vn/xInSJ/b8fdb8d488bdddacc1140d21e329d997ef0757b5.png to post a picture]] of Vox shortly after he's punched his screen in and mocking him on his social media. This appears to have been dropped from the main series, with the dynamics instead reversed by having Vox be the one in charge and keeping a leash on Val.
* DoubleStandardRapeMaleOnMale: Averted completely. His sexual abuse of Angel, which includes rape, is treated completely seriously. Angel is shown to be suffering from the effects of it in the ‘Addict’ video.
* EarlyBirdCameo: He can be seen hiding from the Exorcists in his studio in the pilot's opening montage, along with Vox and Velvette.
* EvilIsPetty: When he got into a fight with Stolas on Instagram, he gets mad at Vox and Velvette for not getting involved and takes the time to tell Velvette the cookies she baked for him sucked. He also punches Vox in the face for extremely minor reasons like getting him the wrong drink.
* TheFashionista: A RareMaleExample. His and Vox's Instagram accounts show off different outfits he adorns.
* FauxAffablyEvil: In the prequel comic he speaks in a fairly informal and reasonable way when talking to Angel Dust, but whenever Angel talks back or suggests doing anything other than what he's been told, Valentino becomes physical and aggressively forceful. And there's the fact that he's an honest-to-God ''rapist''.
* FinancialAbuse: "ADDICT" heavily implies that most, if not all of Angel's earnings as a HighClassSexWorker go straight to Valentino, who keeps him in a GildedCage.
* ForcefulKiss: He forces Angel into a kiss in the "ADDICT" music video.
* GoldToothOfWealth: Val has a gold tooth, and all his employees share one, which helps mark them.
* GoodSmokingEvilSmoking: He uses a cigarette holder and is a pimp and rapist.
* HairTriggerTemper: In the series proper, he's shown to have an abhorrently nasty temper that would probably put [[WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss Loona's]] to shame. After Angel Dust moves out of the studio, he goes on a massive [[ClusterFBomb cursing fit]], breaking everything within arm's reach, brutally eviscerating one of Velvette's models, and stating his intentions to barge into Hazbin Hotel guns blazing before Vox talks him out of it.
* HateSink: His extremely possessive and abusive treatment of Angel Dust (up to and including [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil rape]]) cements his status as this.
* {{Hypocrite}}: On Angel's Instagram, he gifted Angel a weight loss kit (even though he obviously doesn't need it), while having a [[JabbaTableManners habit of stuffing his face]] with greasy fast food.
** During the show itself, he accuses Angel of having Charlie fight his battles for him (despite [[UnwantedAssistance that being the furthest thing from his mind at the moment]]), then doesn't even blink when he then immediately orders Angel to get rid of her for him. [[note]] This is both [[{{Gaslighting}} classic abuser behavior]] and a [[PragmaticVillainy sickeningly savvy move on his part]]; he knows full well that Charlie's [[DoNotTauntCthulhu a dangerous enemy if provoked]] and that the only way he can continue to abuse Angel is if Angel himself tells her to stand down.[[/note]]
* JabbaTableManners: According to Vox's Instagram, he's not above shoving a hamburger down his throat.
* {{Jerkass}}: There’s pretty much nothing and no one he actually treats well. He can be incredibly nasty even to his closest friends.
* KickTheDog: [[https://archive.vn/j9M3K Prior on his Instagram account]], he was shown killing his own pet [[EvilIsPetty just for annoying him]].
* KnightOfCerebus: Unlike the rest of the demons who are LaughablyEvil at worse, he is a terrifyingly realistic example of an DomesticAbuser.
* LackOfEmpathy: While he’s extremely possessive of Angel, he shows little concern for his feelings or well-being. His instragram account also portrayed him as lacking empathy for pretty much everyone, even his own friends.
* ALadyOnEachArm: In both the Angel Dust prequel comic and the "ADDICT" music video, Valentino is seen with a girl on each side, in classic pimp style.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's 9 feet and 10 inches (3 meters) tall according to Faustisse.
* LecherousLicking: He's a fan of this, licking Charlie's arm and sticking his tongue out when he's filming with Angel.
* MacabreMothMotif: He's a moth demon just like Vaggie, but it becomes much more sinister with the context of him being a violently abusive pimp.
* MeaningfulName: As a demon Overlord who's in charge of a variety of sex-related businesses and has a very prominent heart motif, his name, Valentino, is very appropriate.
* MoodSwinger: PlayedForHorror. He's capable of going from calm and collected to furious and ranting and vice versa. In the second episode he was about to go on a murderous rampage but it only took a few words from Vox to stop him and get him to calm down. A series of voicemails he leaves Angel alternate between pleading and threats of physical violence.
* MoreDespicableMinion: {{Downplayed|Trope}} since he's less Vox's "minion" and more just lower on the totem poll than him. Whereas Vox has some LaughablyEvil traits, hints of ''some'' sympathetic traits like an unrequited love for Alastor, and enough charisma to carry a scene on his own, Valentino is a vile rapist, domestic abuser, and purely a HateSink, with ''none'' of his behavior being PlayedForLaughs.
* MothMenace: He's a tall moth demon Overlord who serves as an antagonist towards Angel Dust.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Val’s a tall, imposing, four-armed demon, who won’t hesitate to murder his business partners when they try to cheat him out of his money.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Respecting personal boundaries isn’t really his thing.
* OverlyLongTongue: He has a grotesquely long tongue, possibly meant to resemble the proboscis of lepidopterans.
* PimpDuds: A red top hat and suit complete with fur, huge heart-shaped sunglasses, a gold tooth, a stark red [[ThemeMobile Pimpmobile]] -- yep, all set.
* PinkIsErotic: Pink is a prominent part of his color scheme, notably his heart-shaped glassess and the pink smoke he can seemingly use to control Angel with.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Not only is he a rapist and a BadBoss, his Instagram also had him as a card-carrying misogynist. He dismisses all women as "useless" in a deleted post, despite the fact that a lot of his workers ''are'' women. Then again, it's possible he was being a {{Troll}}.
* RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil: It is revealed in the "ADDICT" video that he forces Angel to have sex with him regularly. Unlike [[BlackComedy other violence in the series]], this is taken 100% seriously and the traumatic effect it has on Angel is shown.
* RelationshipRevolvingDoor: On Instagram, Valentino and Vox have a very unhealthy on-again, off-again relationship. They constantly break up for a variety of reasons ranging from the petty to the more serious, yet they keep getting back together.
* RobotClown: Owns a [[WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss Robo Fizz]] with a pink color scheme that he calls Kitty. We’ve only seen it getting him drinks so far, but this being Valentino we can assume he uses the SexBot function as well.
* SayItWithHearts: Pretty much all his speech bubbles in the prequel comic have hearts in them as part of their background.
* SlasherSmile: Is seen sporting one several times, specifically in Angel's direction.
* SmugSnake: He's initially willing to storm the Hotel guns blazing when he gets pissed about Angel Dust living there, even though the owner is Lucifer's daughter, forcing Vox to talk him down. Later, he very nearly gets his ass handed to him by Charlie when she sees just how badly he treats Angel, and is only saved from her wrath because Angel intervenes and forces her to leave.
* TheSociopath: Valentino is extremely self-absorbed and it’s heavily implied he lacks empathy even for his friends.
* SuperSmoke: He manipulates the smoke from his cigarette holder for various purposes, such as fashioning it into a chain around Angel's neck to assert his dominance.
* TermsOfEndangerment: He refers to Angel as "Angelcakes", "sweetheart" and "darlin'" in the prequel comic, and "Angie Baby" in the show via text. All of these cutesy nicknames are usually followed threats, blatant and implicit.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: The Overlords' Instagrams had them frequently eat at Hell's answer to [=McDonald's=], but Valentino ''really'' seems to like it, at one point storming off there when he's angry.
* WickedHeartSymbol: His clothes and accessories are practically drowning in hearts-imagery. He's also a BadBoss to Angel Dust and an Overlord of Hell.
* WindFromBeneathMyWings: He's capable of doing this with his moth wings, putting out a fire in his studio by flapping.

An overlord in Hell who's friends with Alastor and is heavily implied to have ties with a place in hell called the Cannibal Colony.
----
* TwentiesBobHaircut: Has her white blonde hair in this style.
* AffablyEvil: Implied, as Rosie is described by Vivziepop as friendly. This is supported a few times during "Masquerade" like nodding politely at the skullfaced overlord upon meeting him, and flashing a broad smile at one of the Egg Boiz.
* AmbiguousSituation: According to one of the artists, Rosie never died, so it is unknown what sort of demon she is, let alone if she is one. Then there’s the fact that Alastor asks some demons in the Cannibal Colony to say hi to Rosie from him, but it’s not stated what her ties are to this place, aside from sharing their aesthetics (1920’s clothing and living).
* BlackEyesOfEvil: While she's yet to be confirmed to be evil, her eyes are completely blacked out. She also sports a carefree grin while crossing out Franklin's name from their store sign after his death in the annual extermination.
* FeminineWomenCanCook: One of her hobbies is cooking.
* HartmanHips: When she has hips approximately three times the width of her waist, she qualifies.
* HighHeelPower: One sketch shows her wearing high heels, and Rosie is an Overlord.
* LackOfEmpathy: Implied, in the pilot, she is seen post extermination, crossing out the name of a known associate of hers on a sign advertising their joint business, heavily implying their demise and her indifference to it.
* LeanAndMean: Thin as a reed, and a high-ranking demon.
* LightIsNotGood: She’s got plaster skin and light blonde hair, and is a high ranking demon from hell who’s implied to be cannibalistic.
* TheNoseless: Unlike other demons and sinners, Rosie doesn’t have either nose or snout.
* ParasolOfPrettiness: Artwork shows her use a small parasol, and look very feminine doing so.
* PerpetualSmiler: Nearly wears a smile on her face, even after her business partner has perished, displaying some prominent [[ScaryTeeth big fangs]]. In "Masquerade" she does drop the smile during the overlord meeting, like when she sees the decapitated Excorcist, and some times during Velvette and Carmilla Carmine's song, usually in response to Velvette's blatant disrespect towards the other overlords.
* VillainousFriendship: She has one with Alastor, first hinted at in a prequel comic for Hazbin Hotel, where he asks some cannibalistic demons to say hi to Rosie from him. In the series proper, she greets Alastor affably and he sits beside her during the meeting between the Overlords.

* AmbiguousSituation: Odette and Clara are her daughters, but it’s unclear at the moment what the context behind their connection is. Were they a family while they were alive and then reunited after they died and went to Hell? Did she meet them ''in'' Hell and then, for whatever reason, decided to adopt them? Only time will tell. It's also currently unknown as to just ''how'' Carmilla killed the Angel. She admits to Zestial that she did it and explains why, but doesn’t elaborate beyond that.
* AntiVillain: She presents the extermination as a bad thing to the other Overlords because they will lose the souls that give them power. In her song with Zestial she makes it clear that she cares about the sinners as people rather than just resources.
* ArmedLegs: She wears a pair of ballet shoes that are clearly holy weapons based on the distinct glow they have and metallic clinks they make when Carmilla walks.
* ArmsDealer: She's the top weapons manufacturer and dealer in Hell.
* BaritoneOfStrength: She has a fairly deep voice for a woman, and is a powerful Overlord that actually managed to do the impossible and kill an Exorcist [[MamaBear to protect her daughters]].
* BerserkButton: Insulting her friend Zestial is this, and she snaps at Velvette for doing so.
* BrutalHonesty: When Alastor asks if the rest of the overlords missed him during his seven year absence, she bluntly admits that they barely noticed he was gone.
* DefeatingTheUndefeatable: According to Lute, no one has ever managed to kill an angel before. This changes when Carmilla kills one during one of Heaven's exterminations.
* DevilishHairHorns: Her hair is in this fashion, appearing as very large horns. To be fair there could be actual horns under there.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She and Zestial appear at the start of the pilot with a shadowed Lucifer. One of her daughters, Odette, can be seen collecting spears with another sinner in front of Rosie's emporium. It's unclear if the girl seen with Odette in the pilot is meant to be Carmilla's other daughter, Clara (who later got a redesign), or simply an employee.
** Moxxie also namedrops her in ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'' episode "[[Recap/HelluvaBossS1E5TheHarvestMoonFestival The Harvest Moon Festival]]", after recognising Striker's blessing-tipped rifle as "Carmine-crafted".
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: She's an Overlord of Hell and a weapons dealer, but she deeply loves her daughters and would risk war with Heaven to keep them safe.
* HolyHandGrenade: She sells weapons that utilize Angelic technology. One such weapon for example is the Carmine Crafted Blessing-tipped rifle that was owned by Striker in the ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'' episode "[[Recap/HelluvaBossS1E5TheHarvestMoonFestival The Harvest Moon Festival]]".
* IronLady: She's a female Overlord with a tough, no-nonsense demeanor and has a professional attitude when dealing with people. She only shows a softer, motherly side when around the few people she trusts, like Zestiel and her daughters.
* TheLeader: She leads the meetings of the other Overlords, and commands their respect with the exception of the Vees.
* MamaBear: She's very protective of her daughters, so much so that she killed an Exorcist when it was about to come after them. Her doing so is what causes Adam and his Exorcists to decide to cut the deadline for the next Extermination in half.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: She killed an Exorcist to protect her family, which caused the Angels to change the annual purge to twice a year. Not only that, but she laments if news of her killing the Exorcist went public it would cause the sinners to directly rally against the Angels on what would essentially be a suicide mission.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Both Zestial and Velvette immediately know something's up when the usually so calm and proper Carmilla loses her temper during the Overlord meeting and continues to passionately argue against the Vees' plan to take up arms against the angels.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Despite acknowledging that the annual exterminations cost her and her fellow overlords valuable souls, she has no intention of actually waging war in response, as she is well aware that they are greatly outmatched.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Her killing an Exorcist throws a huge wrench in Charlie and co.’s plans, since it speeds up the time until the next Extermination, making thm even ''more'' pressed for time to prove that redemption can happen. And that’s considering ''if'' it doesn’t lead to an all-out war between Heaven and Hell, which will most likely gaurantee that Charlie and co.’s plans will be for nothing.
* UnholyMatrimony: It's implied but not stated that there's something like this between her and Zestial.
* VillainousFriendship: Carmilla has a deep friendship with fellow Overlord Zestial, as she gets furious when he’s being disrespected.
* WalkingSpoiler: She was the one who killed the Exorcist.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/JamesMonroeIglehart [[labelnote:Foreign [=VAs=]]] Daniel Njo Lobé (French) [[/labelnote]]
A Spider-like overlord of Hell from an old time.
----
* AffablyEvil: At least to other overlords, as he's willing to talk casually with Alastor and shares a deep bond with Carmilla.
* AnimalMotifs: Spiders, having a spider brooch and cobweb cape.
* DarkIsEvil: He's a powerful overlord of Hell with a black and [[GreenAndMean green]] color scheme and greatly feared by the rest of the sinners. [[DownplayedTrope However,]] he's also surprisingly polite and has a strong relationship with some of the other Overlords.
* TheDreaded: On Alastor's level in this regard. When he and Alastor both walk to their meeting together and chat casually, many demons panic and one of them even [[BetterToDieThanBeKilled sets himself on fire]].
* EvilIsBigger: He’s one of the tallest of the Overlords, about twice Alastor’s height.
* EvilOldFolks: While it’s unclear how old he actually is, according to both Alastor and Velvette, Zestial is the oldest overlord in hell.
* EvilSoundsDeep: He has a deep husky-sounding voice with [[VoiceOfTheLegion a reverb]].
* FloweryElizabethanEnglish: Fittingly for the oldest Overlord in hell, Zestial speaks like he's out of a Shakespeare play saying "thou" instead of "you" (though he notably says "you" at one point to Alastor, this could either be due to a writer's error or him showing respect; as the thou-you distinction by Shakespeare's time had gone from denoting plurality to instead indicating familiarity and rudeness vs formality and respect). It's also notably accurate, with the writers having obviously ShownTheirWork when it comes to his sentence structure, word choice, and conjugation (such as adding -(e)th to the end of verbs in the present indicative mood when 'thou' is the subject, abbreviating 'it is' to 'tis' instead of 'it's', and using 'be' as a verb on its own to indicate the presence of something in a way we would now use 'is').
* LeanAndMean: Zestial might actually be thinner than Alastor.
* OldMaster: Both Alastor and Carmilla are respectful to him, and when he points out that waging a war with heaven without knowing the full details on what killed the decapitated [[TheDreaded Exorcist]] is a bad idea, most of the other Overlords agreed with him, showing that his word is well respected amongst the others.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: He is TheOlderImmortal among Hell's Overlords, and is one of the most level-headed and cordial characters shown so far. He is polite to everyone he interacts with, is cautious and prudent in his planning, genuinely [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes values his friends and their wellbeing]], and [[TheStoic doesn't lose his composure]] even when [[{{Troll}} Velvette]] insults him to his face.
* UnholyMatrimony: Implied between him and Carmilla.
* VillainousFriendship:
** He and Alastor get along pretty well, and Zestial seemingly went out of his way to have a chat with Alastor just prior to the meeting of the Overlords. While Alastor is still coy about his motives and isn't above spying on him and Carmilla, there's definitely a mutual respect between the two.
** Regardless of whether or not [[UnholyMatrimony they're more than friends]], Zestial shares a deep friendship with Carmilla Carmine, being close enough that she willingly confides in him about her inner thoughts and emotions, like fear, the love for her daughters and that she killed the Exorcist.

The Von Eldritch Family are a family of high status within hell. Frederick, the Patriarch, and his Wife, Bethseda are both Overlords, and two of the more powerful ones at that. Their daughter, Helsa is a rival to Charlie Morningstar, while their son, Seviathan once dated Charlie.
----
[[AC:Helsa]]
* DeathGlare: She gives a terrifying one to Charlie when the latter calls her a loser during her song, complete with ScaryTeeth.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She very briefly appears in the pilot during Charlie's musical number.
* TheRival: To Charlie.
