* OneManArmy: Six is the only Spartan aside from the Master Chief to have the combat rating 'Hyper-Lethal', and has erased entire insurrectionist groups from existence single-handedly. During the final cutscene in ''Reach'', ''[[{{Determinator}} they are taking on multiple high-ranking Elites in close quarters combat]]''. Given their last stand and what little else we know about them, it's arguable that Six is ''the'' biggest badass in the [[WorldofBadass entire series]] when it comes to pure combat skill, though he lacks Master Chief's leadership and luck.

By default, Six is portrayed as male in-game; in {{Canon}} however, due to extensive levels of CanonDiscontinuity, they have been referred to as both male and as gender neutral. All in all though it doesn't matter in-game, as with CharacterCustomization, Six's gender in ''Reach'' is up to the player.

Noble Six is the player character in ''VideoGame/HaloReach''. His past is almost a complete mystery; all we know is that he was pulled from Beta Company straight after training to be used as a OneManArmy to destroy entire Insurrectionist groups and Covenant forces. Six joins Noble Team shortly before the Fall of Reach as a replacement for Thom-293.

By default, Six is portrayed as male, which the developers have stated is his canonical gender; however, due to CharacterCustomization, Six's gender in ''Reach'' is up to the player. Within this section Six is referred to as male to align with canon depictions.

* AcePilot: Sometime before his assignment to Noble Team, Six was involved in the testing of an experimental shielded space fighter called the Sabre, and ''Reach''[='s=] manual states that it was his talent as a pilot that got him noticed by Colonel Holland. This seems to be there to justify him jumping into one of these craft during the course of the campaign to take the fight to the Covenant in orbit, and Kat lampshades Six's talent for flying before proposing her plan to the team.
* AndYourRewardIsClothes: For all the armor accessories you can unlock to outfit your Six by just playing the game, they don't do anything to gameplay other than let the player customize their interpretation of him.
* BlackKnight: As something of a futuristic take of the trope, Six is by default donning the Mark V armor set, colored completely black and is about the finest and most mysterious SPARTAN III humanity has to offer.
* TheChosenOne: Not of any kind of prophecy, but is the Spartan chosen by [[spoiler:Cortana]] to be the one to deliver her safely to [[spoiler:The Pillar of Autumn (and Master Chief)]]. His success in this mission proves crucial in winning the war and saving humanity.
* ClassifiedInformation: B312 is a walking [REDACTED] stamp. Even his name, as arbitrary as SPARTAN names are, is redacted.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Unlike the famed leader of men that is the Master Chief, Six is a lone wolf whose deeds mostly remain in the shadows. Also, Six is only about 19-21 years old, while the Chief is in his 40s.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: While ''Reach'' allows the player to choose Six's gender, Bungie and 343 have both officially stated that Six is canonically male, which is further confirmed in ''Literature/HaloNewBlood''. Starting with the 2022 ''Halo Encyclopedia'', 343 have adopted a policy of no longer specifying Noble Six's gender, but have said that prior references to the character being male remain canonical.
* DefiantToTheEnd: [[spoiler:Even after Six loses his weapon and becomes so grievously wounded that he can no longer stand up, he continues to fight so fiercely that it takes ''multiple tries'' for the Elites to actually land the final blow on him.]]
* TheDreaded: As noted by expanded universe materials. Six's ability to make entire militia groups disappear reportedly left insurgencies and separatist movements terrified of him.
* DyingAlone: [[spoiler: Fitting his lone wolf personality, Six is the last living member of Noble Team on Reach and promptly dies alone in one hell of a LastStand against an onslaught of Covenant soldiers and armor.]]

After ''Reach'' released though, Creator/ThreeFourThreeIndustries stated in their 2011 ''Halo Encyclopedia'' and other similar material that Six Noble 6 is canonically a male, which is further confirmed by fellow NOBLE member Jun-A266 in ''Literature/HaloNewBlood''. * TheQuietOne: While Six isn't a HeroicMime, he is damn close to it, rarely ever saying anything unless he's being spoken to directly, and even then he speaks in terse sentences.

In-game he was happy the Coveant was there so he could turn the area into a killing field. That seems very unhinged to me.

* InformedFlaw: Emile has a somewhat sour reputation as a sadistic and mentally unstable example of a SPARTAN III, but his ingame personality is fairly subdued and down-to-earth, with his worst trait seen being a dismissive attitude for non-Spartan civilians and soldiers.

* ArtificialStupidity: While he's invincible as an allied NPC and he's pretty good once in effective range, but his AI seems to forget he's holding a [[ShortRangeShotgun shotgun]] and not, say, any other weapon with a range of more than 7 feet. He'll blow enemies away once he's close enough, provided you're patient enough to let him figure that out on his own.
* BattleTrophy: Possesses an "impressive" collection of Covenant contraband. Against UNSC regulations, of course; the only reason his superiors overlook this is because Noble Team answers to the Army, and thus would be very unlikely to run afoul of the Cole Protocol.
