* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: Really good with handicrafts and looks. He says he does it to pick up girls but in truth, Nao figures its make up a motherly role for his sister after their mom died.

A scientist who later becomes Uehara's part-time boss.

* CleansUpNicely: She looks stunning when she does dress up though Uehara prefers her usual getup.
* FirstNameBasis: Does not like her last name so she asks everyone to call her by her first name.
* UnkemptBeauty: Often seen with messy hair and little to no make up. Uehara comments that she's this, much to her dismay when she does dress up.

* CloudCuckoolander: She often daydreams about Uehara in a very vivid fashion, inadvertently acting out what she sees before her

* BigBrotherInstinct: They are not blood related but childhood friends. He's a year older than her is very protective of her.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He keeps critizizing Uehara for playing with Nao's feelings and not being the right one for her, but Daichi himself wants to make all the decisions for Nao and generally seems incapable of understanding that Nao might genuinely prefer Uehara. Through a couple of episodes Daichi comes close to being a StalkerWithACrush.
