An experienced GGG member who is now a co-pilot of [=GaoGaiGo=] with Mamoru Amami.
----
* BadassLongcoat: His GGG uniform is the only one that has this.
* ChasteHero: In normal social activity, underneath his mature {{Bishounen}} exterior is a boy with a rather innocent mindset, especially noticeable whenever he’s hanging around his [[ChildhoodFriend childhood friends]]. It’s not until Alouette bluntly [[{{Squee}} squeeing]] over one of his gratitude gestures that he realizes his looks is starting to attract the opposite sex; and is noticeably [[LuminescentBlush uncomfortable]].

!!Porc-Auto / Big Porc-Auto
A robot designed to help Renais on her missions as a part of Chasseur. His Ai was based on Eric "Gentleman" Fowler, Renais's partner who was killed in battle.
----
* BackFromTheDead: Porc-Auto was destroyed in a mission prior to the events of FINAL but a back up of his AI was saved by Professor Liger.
** CameBackStrong: During his time as Renais'partner Porc-Auto was damaged and lost his ability to transform in humanoid form, this was fixed when he was rebuilt and was also given the ability to turn into Big Porc-Auto.
* {{Expy}}: He is one to Volfogg. He can even combine with two robots similar to the Gunmachines to become Big Porc-Auto.
* TheCameo: He or a car that looks like him shows up in the second episode of FINAL being driven by Renais.

!!Getsuryuu and Nichiryuu
Getsuryuu (Moon Dragon) and Nichiryuu (Sun Dragon) are twin sister robots made by GGG Germany. Unlike their older siblings they don't seem to get along very well. Their combined form is Seiryuujin.
----
* BerserkButton: For the love of all that is good, do not hurt Shouryuu!
* FusionDance: They can merge together to become Seiryuujin. Later on they can also merge with Shouryuu becoming [[spoiler: [=ShoSeiryuujin=]]]. [[spoiler:This gets TurnedUpToEleven later still when, after freeing Kouryuu and Anryuu from the control of Triple Zero, the four Brave Machines' [=SympaRate=] exceeds 200 percent, and they perform the same Miraculous Symmetrical Docking used by their brother Braves, becoming Kiryuujin (Kouryuu and Nichiryuu) and Shinryuujin (Anryuu and Getsuryuu).]] [[spoiler:In the same chapter, the insanity gets cranked up even further still when the Bettermen fuse to [=ShinRyuuJin=]'s armor and create Musou Shinryuujin.]]
* RunningGag: Just like Enryuu, Rairyuu and Anryuu before her, Nichiryuu inherits their inability to land properly.
* SiblingRivalry: The two have one due to being sent on separate missions from each other. This prevents them from developing a complete [=SympaRate=] needed to perform Symmetrical Docking.
!!Shouryuu
Shouryuu (Flying Dragon) was initially designed around the same time as Volfogg, he was meant to combine with Chouryuujin. However, due to GGG's urgent need to develop the Goldion Hammer, his construction was delayed.
----
* AccidentalMisnaming: There's a RunningGag where Shouryuu will call Porc-Auto by a different name to his current form, like saying Porc-Auto while the latter is in it's Big Porc-Auto form.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: The youngest of the Super AIs with Getsu and Nichi being so protective of him that Shou being in danger is something that allows to fuse despite their typical differences.
* FusionDance: He can realize a Triple Docking with any fused dragon, the resulting mecha will have"Cho" at the start of it's name.
* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: He is the only Super AI whose vehicle form is an aerial one.

* RedEyesTakeWarning: They all share the same type of eyes: Red sclera and white pupils.
* {{Telepathy}}: They communicate through the Limpid Channel which connects all living beings, this makes them unable to communicate with the robots.

[[folder: Hakaiou Apostles]]
The beings that will turn all living things into light. They are the main antagonists of ''King Of Kings: [=GaoGaiGar=] vs. Betterman''.
----
* AndIMustScream: They are completely aware of their actions but are being forced to obey the cosmic laws and destroy humanity.
* BigBad: Of this series.
* TheCorrupter: Corrupted the entirety of [[spoiler:GGG ([[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and Soldato J]]) with the exception of Guy.]]
* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler: Takes over Genesic [=GaoGaiGar=]to use as its body.]]
* {{Expy}}: An in-universe example as noted by the main cast. The Hakaiou Apostles and the Zero Robos are similar to the Zonderians and Zonder robos.
* IHaveManyNames: Originally it was known as Oath Over Omega, then dubbed Triple Zero by GGG and finally was called Hakaiou by everyone when it appears over Jupiter.
** It doesn't help that Hakaiou has multiple meanings due to the kanji used. 覇界王 mean supreme, world, and king respectively. The English translation for the novel and manga uses Overlord before it was changed to King of Ruin. And ''then'' there's the completely untranslatable spoken-language element to it all: 覇界王 is, in spoken language, a ''perfect'' homonym for 破壊王, or "King of ''Destruction''", which is basically their true goal and calls back to ''FINAL'' and the various reveals about Genesic [=GaoGaiGar's=] intended role (and all the talk of "creation vs. destruction" from the Sol Masters).
* TheManBehindTheMan: Leo speculates that it influenced the Z-Master into attacking Earth.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:It is the source of The POWER and the origin of the universe.]]
* WhamShot: It's the being seen at the end of the Project Z trailer.
** Done at the end of the third manga chapter of ''Hakaiou: [=GaoGaiGar=] vs. Betterman''.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: They wish to save the universe by destroying humanity who they view as a threat.

Codenamed as "Cyborg Guy," Guy is the main protagonist of the series. Guy was originally a NewMeat astronaut working for the Space Development Corporation, but was fatally injured by El-01 during one of his space missions, though he was lucky enough to be saved by Galeon and was found in a coma holding a G-Stone. In order to preserve his life, his father turned him into a cyborg, and used the G-stone Guy was holding as his main life support. Because of his new cyborg body, he is stronger, faster and more durable than any human, which is why he considers it his responsibility to use his enhanced body to protect humanity with the rest of the GGG. In battle, he can do a fusion with Galeon to form the SuperRobot [=GaiGar=], which in turn can do another fusion with other "Gao Machines" called the Final Fusion, forming the titular mecha [=GaoGaiGar=]. When on foot, Guy has several abilities which he can use to fight enemies hand-to-hand, including his Will Knife and [[SuperMode Hyper Mode]], the latter which can be activated for two minutes at a time to make Guy even stronger and faster.

Maiko Itou (JP, Drama CD / ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30 SRW-30]]'')
An experienced GGG member who
is the main protagonist now a co-pilot of the series. Because of his new cyborg body, he is stronger, faster and more durable than any human, which is why he considers it his responsibility to use his enhanced body to protect humanity [=GaoGaiGo=] with the rest of the GGG. In battle, he can do a fusion with Galeon to form the SuperRobot [=GaiGar=], which in turn can do another fusion with other "Gao Machines" called the Final Fusion, forming the titular mecha [=GaoGaiGar=]. When on foot, Guy has several abilities which he can use to fight enemies hand-to-hand, including his Will Knife and [[SuperMode Hyper Mode]], the latter which can be activated for two minutes at a time to make Guy even stronger and faster.Ikumi Kaidou.

* AcePilot: What he was training to be before the accident that led to his becoming a cyborg. He gets plenty of opportunities to prove he's still got chops, too.
* AnimalMotifs: Lions. He has the character for lion in his name, his long red hair is similar to a Lion's mane, and Galeon, the mech he pilots, is modeled after a lion. Also, the series recurring theme of the power of courage means the choice of a lion as his motif is 100% deliberate, considering that Lions are often used as a symbol of courage.
* AntiRegeneration: As Genesic [=GaoGaiGar=], he beats Palparepa so badly the latter struggles to regenerate.
* AwesomeMcCoolname: His name translates into "triumphant lion king."
* BigBrotherInstinct: Hurting or threatening Mamoru is a wonderful way to get some super-cyborg fist rammed down your throat.
* BigEater: There's an occasion where, when he and Mikoto are on their lunch break, you can see a half-dozen or so empty gyuudon bowls on his side. Apparently, it all gets incinerated inside his body and serves him no nutritional benefit, being entirely for his sanity.
* {{Bishonen}}: He's pretty much one of only two young adult men within the base to be good-looking.
* BrokenBird: Zig-zagged. He was an enthusiastic [[NewMeat new astronaut]], proud to be [[TeenGenius "The World's Youngest Astronaut" at the age of 18]], performing his first ever space mission. Then outer space sent an alien crushing his spaceship, making him LegallyDead (see below), and became one of the new experiments of classified military technology. He's careful not to really ''show'' this to most folks (especially Mamoru, who's usually our point-of-view character) but there are some moments where the mask slips and it's clear he's a lot more conflicted about his circumstances than he shows outwardly.
* CelibateHero: When you're nothing but a head attached to a walking weapon, it's not like you have much of a choice. We ''do'' get subtle hints throughout the series that [[CantHaveSexEver this is a bit of a problem for Guy and Mikoto]].
** Subverted [[spoiler: after the main run of the series, both Guy and Mikoto become the same species, so it's pretty likely they made up for lost time.]]
* CostumeTropes: His outer armor can be taken off for him to dress down like your normal young man. Like his eating habits, this too is also for his sanity.
** AdventurerOutfit: Wears a brown linen shirt with white pants for one of his dating hours with Mikoto.
* {{Cyborg}}: If it wasn't obvious from his name.
* DropTheHammer: Goldion Hammer, and in FINAL, Goldion Crusher
* ExperiencedProtagonist: The series began with Guy a few years in of being GGG's pilot, albeit painstakingly unstable and in constant need of repair. He was also already an experienced astronaut, only to become a cyborg due to a fatal injury from a space mission.
* FieryRedhead: As Cyborg Guy. [[spoiler: Evoluder Guy has auburn-ish hair.]]
* GentleGiant: Guy's height towers at 6'7" (201cm), making him the second tallest person on the team [[note]]Shying by approximate 2 inches from Taiga.[[/note]] and is by default, a man who's [[NiceGuy nice]] [[BearyFriendly as a cuddly bear]] as long as he doesn't get the call to take out Zonders.
* HappilyMarried HighSchoolSweethearts: With Mikoto starting from ''FINAL''.
* TheHero: ''Doy''.
* HotBlooded: To the core. Many would say that Guy is the pinnacle of Creator/NobuyukiHiyama's HotBlooded typecasting.
* LargeHam: Zigzagged -- in battle he is the pinnacle of the ScreamingWarrior; outside, he's quite a calm man. The best point to see the difference is in FINAL (right at the start of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYFYZZtnH-E&feature=related this video]]).
* LegallyDead: When he was found after the EI-01 incident, in order to save his life using the newly found G-Stone, his father Leo Shishioh was forced to submit Guy's death certificate and even hold his son's public burial, so that Leo could proceed in preserving his son's life at the cost of turning him into an experimental weapon. Even Mikoto was unaware of Guy being alive until Leo found Mikoto sobbing at Guy's grave, and secretly told her about this classified project. This is why Guy is codenamed as "Cyborg Guy" rather than using his real name, and is also why Mikoto is so high-strung about Guy being put in danger - she ''has'' already experienced the pain of his death once, and what she's living right now is a dream that she's afraid could end at any moment. [[note]]All this information is from [[AllThereInTheManual Drama CD vol.1]][[/note]]
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: He was a short-haired {{Bishonen}} to begin with, but once he became a cyborg, his hair was lengthened to be designed as his supermode battery pack. Once he [[spoiler: evolved into an Evoluder, his long hair turned back to average mid-length, but he end up growing his hair back to long length by the time of FINAL.]]
* MaamShock: Male version. Guy wasn't keen on Mamoru calling him "''oji-san''" ("Mister") in the first episode, citing that he's only 20. [[note]] [[UsefulNotes/JapaneseHonorifics -san, 'Mister', implies age and authority. -kun, Guy's preferred honorific, is more casual, and used for boys, young men, and the like.]][[/note]] Mamoru settles on "''Guy-nii-chan''" ("Big brother Guy", lit.).
* [[MadScientistsBeautifulDaughter Mad Scientist's Hot Son]]: Both biologically ''and'' literally. He's the biological son of inventor, and GGG's lead mechanical engineer, Leo Shishioh, and got his good looking genes from his mom. Then when he got fatally injured into near death, his dad kept his life via turning practically more than 95% of his flesh into a walking weapon.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: His first act of business after obtaining Genesic [=GaoGaiGar=].
--> '''Guy''': You 11 Sol Masters. I...Will...Destroy...'''ALL OF YOU!!!'''
* {{Technopath}}: [[spoiler:After becoming an Evoluder.]] To be blunt, his newly gained superpowers are boiled down to [[spoiler: [[HollywoodHacking computer programming, hacking]]]], and [[BatmanCanBreatheInSpace breathing in space]].
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Given to Palparepa during the climax of their last battle in FINAL.
--> '''Guy:''' The reason you tried to seal off GGG...! The reason you couldn't come close to the G-Crystal...! The reason you isolated [=GaoFighGar=]...! The reason you didn't come to directly attack our Earth...! ''It's all because you feared us!'' The G-Stone's power can only grow and surpass the power of the Loud G-Stone! '''''This is the energy BORN FROM COURAGE!!'''''
* SpellMyNameWithAnS:
** An interesting example - in Japanese, Guy's name is usually given entirely in ''kanji'', as 獅子王凱, or "Shishioh Gai" when transliterated into anglo-roman letters in standard Hepburn romanization, and you'll sometimes see fans or external publications print his given name as "Gai" as a result (that being how you spell 凱 when romanized). ''However'', the show itself is actually extremely consistent in spelling his name as "Guy", even when discussing him before his accident (when he became "Cyborg Guy"). While "Guy" is a perfect homophone of "Gai" in English, so it's ''phonetically'' correct, there's still no romanization system that would naturally produce "Guy" from 凱, so you'll still find examples (occasionally on this very wiki!) of his name being spelled "Gai".
*** The fact that the official Creator/MediaBlasters DVD release spells his name as "Gai" doesn't help matters either.
** Not helping this is are the ''robot names''. The whole conceit of the titular robot is, of course, that it's a combination of its components - the '''Gao''' Machines, '''Guy''' (or Gai) Shishioh, and "long ga" from '''Gal'''eon (which of course runs into ''its own'' issue). And of course, the robot's name is consistently spelled, in romanji, Gao'''Gai'''Gar. Ditto the base form [=GaiGar=].
* TeenGenius: Do you know [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronaut_training how long and hard it takes]] [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronaut to become a professional astronaut?]] Guy earned his qualification at age 18, which means he ''[[HardWorkFallacy sacrificed all of his childhood]]'' to get this job.
* UnstoppableRage: Goes into this after fighting EI-03, and would have crushed the core he'd just ripped out (killing the Zonderized human), if Mamoru hadn't [[CooldownHug gotten there in time.]] Also towards the end of his fight with the Zonuda, though that's more 'frenzied' than 'rage'.
* WeCanRebuildHim: Primarily by his father. He takes pride in being the "Strongest Cyborg in History".

The "Baribarien" is explained above; the "Giragirahn VV" keytar is related to the "kira-kira" sound effect, of sparkling or being dazzling; his Dokadokahn V microphone is a twofer, both an onomatopoeia for making noise and "dokaan" being the sound effect for an explosion (thus his title of "'''Boom''' Robo").

* DropTheHammer: Hell, he ''is'' the Hammer!

* TheBigGuy: He has a lazer cannon, but prefers to use his fists and his nigh-indestructible body in mechanoid form to fight. He knows how to use them, too; only King J-Der is physically stronger than he is.
* BoisterousBruiser: His whole personality.
* DropTheHammer: Hell, he ''is'' the Hammer!
* GeniusBruiser: It doesn't come up much (Goldy's very much aware that he's the FinishingMove), but he IS based on GGG's mission planner. He does exactly the right thing when the 31 Primevals attack Orbit Base, for example.
* GoOutWithASmile: Even though he doesn't have a mouth, in the last episode of FINAL, [[spoiler:after Pisa Sol is destroyed, one could tell he was smiling before the screen faded to white.]]
* HotBlooded: Well, his personality IS based on Geki Hyuuma, so...
* SwissArmyWeapon: The handle of

->Voiced by: Creator/KozoShioya (Isamu, JP), Ed Paul (Isamu, EN), Creator/SayuriYamauchi (Ai, JP), Eileen Stevens (Ai, EN)

Mamoru's adoptive parents. Isamu works at the Space Development Corporation [[note]]GGG is a classified unit, therefore Isamu is unaware of their existence.[[/note]] while Ai is a stay-at-home mother. They tend to fret a bit when Mamoru might be in trouble.
----
* CatchPhrase: "Wah-Ha~!" It runs in the family.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Daddy Isamu would flip in happiness to welcome his son back home albeit by [[RunningGag drifting and destroying their mail post.]]
* GoodParents: Basically, they're the Japanese [[{{Superman}} Kents]]: they lovingly raised a boy from another world as their own, who'd later become the savior of mankind. Hell, they even named him Mamoru, which means "to protect"; it's obvious they were raising him to be a good boy.
* MeaningfulName: Mamoru's father is "Isamu", meaning "Bravery" or "Courage". His mother's name is "Ai", meaning "Love". Both are extremely valuable traits to pass down to their son.
* MuggleFosterParents: And, as far as Mamoru is concerned, they are his parents.

!!Hana Hatsuno
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dd738ef64cae9c50dd4111a81e02212f.png]]
->Voiced by: Creator/KonamiYoshida (JP), Eileen Stevens (EN)

Mamoru's classmate who has a long-standing (mutual!) crush on him. Tends to get caught up in [[{{Robeast}} Zonder]] attacks throughout the show.
----
* CatchPhrase: "Kowakunai, Kowakunai..." ("I'm not scared, I'm not scared...") Mamoru taught it to her, back in Hokkaido. Given the dangers she often faces, it's more of a SurvivalMantra.
** BadassCreed: Hits a climax when she attacks the Zonderized Assistant Principal on her own.
* CryCute: Several times.
* DistressedDamsel: Poor girl.
* DogWalksYou: Played as a RunningGag. Justified by Yosef being at least twice Hana's size. She has better luck with Yosef's puppies in FINAL - but there's a whole pack of them!
* NiceGirl: She's a very kind child.
* PuppyLove: Hana and Mamoru have a ChildhoodMarriagePromise dating back to when they lived in Hokkaido (4 years before the series started). [[spoiler:They make good on it in the last episode.]]
* WeirdnessMagnet: At times, it's like the Zonders have their eye on ''her'' rather than Mamoru. (Luckily, at no point do they seem to be aware of her connection to Mamoru.)
* [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair You Gotta Have Pink Hair]]: Her parents have normal hair colors, too.

!!Sueo "Ushii" Ushiyama

->Voiced by: Hiroaki Ishikawa (JP)

Another classmate of Mamoru and the youngest brother of Kazuo.
----
* AnimalThemeNaming: His family holds the surname of "Ox Mountain," and his friends uses the AffectionateNickname of "Ushii" on him.
* TheBigGuy: Subversion - while he's definitely the largest of Mamoru's friends, his defining trait is his interest in military mechanics (some of which are leaked from his older brother) ...and he's probably not as strong as Reiko.
* {{Expy}}: Of Takeshi Goda from ''Manga/{{Doraemon}}''. But his personality and actions are no way near like a bully, and instead is a rather competent [[BigBrotherInstinct big brother figure]] towards his friends.

!!Takayasu Sunou

->Voiced by: Creator/TsutomuKashiwakura (JP)
Another of Mamoru's classmates. Comes from a fairly rich family, and has a habit of trying to impress his friends with trendy techs and tales of family trips.
----
* {{Expy}}: Of Suneo Honekawa from ''Manga/{{Doraemon}}''.
* HairFlip: Does this a lot.
* IdleRich: Another big part of his personality.
* OcularGushers: Resorts to these when either A) Reiko cuts him down a few notches or B) when he's caught up in a Zonder attack.
* RichBastard: Shows signs of growing into this. That is, if Reiko hasn't humbled him out of it by then.

!!Reiko Komori
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/9160188b81e73dc42b6ca5575b15b722.png]]
->Voiced by: Creator/MikiNarahashi (JP), Annice Moriarty (EN)

Somewhat stuck-up classmate of Mamoru and Hana. Her family is even richer than the Sunous, and she takes great delight in one-upping Sunou or otherwise deflating him whenever he starts bragging.
----
* CatchPhrase: She loves to use the mixed-language phrase "chou very" (or "super very", fully translated) as an adjective for things.
* DontYouDarePityMe: [[spoiler:We find out in a CD Drama that her father is dead and her family, while ''once'' rich, is actually broke -- we get a peek at this during episode 26 (when the gang thinks the rest of their class is dead, and Reiko simultaneously is a bit calmer and also a bit more morose about the idea), and that may be ''her'' cheap apartment that she's in front of in her first FINAL appearance. [[MockMillionaire She hides this from her friends but acts 'rich']] for seemingly this trope.]]
* HiddenDepths: They don't get explored much -- she's a very tertiary character after all -- but they are there. One of the Drama [=CDs=] gives us a peek at it, and we also get a glimpse of it in episode 26 of the show itself. [[spoiler:As noted, her father ''died'' before the start of the show, and it's clearly had an effect on the poor nine-year-old Reiko. In episode 26, in particular, she's a ''lot'' more philosophical about the idea of most of her classmates dying than a grade schooler has any right to be, and it's clear that a lot of her attitude is a front to avoid showing her friends her pain.]]
* LovableAlphaBitch: She may detest the weaklings around her and have her own ''subordinates'' in school, but she's generally good to those she recognize as her friends from the bottom of her heart, and in particular she's a genuine friend to Hana.
* TheNicknamer / FunWithAcronyms: Comes up with acronyms for just about anybody. Especially attractive males.
* PrecociousCrush: She's fallen pretty hard for her "long haired hunk", AKA Guy Shishioh. She is also ''highly annoyed'' to discover he's already taken.
* SuperStrongChild: Hoists up Mamoru, Hana, Takayasu, ''and'' [[TheBigGuy Usshii]] ''all at once'' as they attempt to save Hana dropping into the ocean when they were stuck on EI-02.
** She picked up a teacher's desk and hurled it at a window trying to escape from a Zonderized vice principal.

->Voiced by: Creator/SayuriYamauchi (JP)

A classmate of Mamoru's who is silent and always seems distant. He does not play a significant role for most of the series but seems to recognize Pizza whenever he appears.
----
* ArtificialHuman: Not especially played up, though.
* BloodyHorror: Only shown as silhouette, but during his first confrontation with Palus Abel in episode 3 of FINAL, his body is completely twisted and mangled by her attack. [[spoiler:However, when he is seen later attached to Pia Decem Pit's computer, he seems to be fine.]]
* ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies: A more familial version. [[spoiler:Arma avoided becoming too attached to his human classmates and family in order to avoid hurting any of them when he was gone, and to avoid leaving any openings that enemies could exploit. It didn't work - not the first time, anyway.]]
* MeaningfulName: [[spoiler:Arma is Italian for "weapon".]]
* OverrideCommand: [[spoiler:Palus Abel used him to shut down Soldato J's J-Jewel.]]

The wife of Leo Shishioh and Mother of Guy. She was an astronaut presume dead from her crew's fatal space mission to explore Jupiter.

* DeathByOriginStory: Her presumed failed space mission is what inspired her son, Guy to follow her footsteps in becoming an astronaut, so that he would be able to have the chance to one day travel to Jupiter to investigate her cause of death. [[note]][[AllThereInTheManual From Drama CD vol.1]][[/note]]
* PosthumousCharacter: [[spoiler: When she died at Jupiter, her spirit somehow survived thanks to '''THE POWER'''. !!Cain
->Voiced by: Creator/KoichiChiba (JP)

The leader of the Green Planet and father of Latio/Mamoru.
----
* BigGood: He is the one who created the G-Stones and Galeon and hid his data within him to allow the heroes to create the technology they need to fight the Zonders.
* PosthumousCharacter: Long since dead but an AI copy of him is stored within Galeon.
* MosesInTheBulrushes: Sent his son away on Galeon to the Blue Planet (Earth) to escape the mechanicalization of their home planet.

!!Cain's Wife
The wife of Cain and mother of Latio/Mamoru.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: She seems to possess some sort of connection to Mikoto but exactly what is unclear. Mikoto is the only one who can hear her voice and she appears in place of Mikoto when she bids farewell to Mamoru and Kaidou at the end of FINAL.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Zonders]]
!!In general
Mysterious beings made of mysterious metal, known as [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Zonder Metal]].

* TheAssimilator: Zonder Metal can absorb machines, often replicating their functions. Strangely, it does not seem to absorb humans, even when they are inside the converted machines.
* BishonenLine: Their life cycle goes shaggy, mechanical humanoid BlobMonster -> {{Robeast}} after fusing with a human -> {{Robeast}} seeding more Zonder Spores to make other Zonders -> Intelligent humanoid Zonderian with the capacity to become a {{Robeast}} if need be.
* GoneHorriblyRight: They were created to absorb stressful emotions and convert them into energy to relieve stress. They're still acting on that goal, they simply believe that [[AssimilationPlot they need to assimilate all life in the universe to do that.]]
* MechanicalAbomination: Pasder and all of the Primevals are this. [[spoiler:They're sapient pieces of the Z-Crystal, the object that controls everything that's been corrupted by Zonder Metal. They can create Zonder Metal within their bodies to create new minions, and they assimilate almost any material - including moons!]]
* OurMonstersAreWeird: While many Zonders look like garden variety HumongousMecha, there are some that become incredibly strange objects that [[AmbiguousRobots barely look mechanical]].
* {{Robeast}}: Most of them are this, and all Zonders have the potential to grow into one.
* ThemeNaming: Every named Zonderian's name starts with P, [[OddNameOut except the Zonuda and Z-Master]].
* TheVirus: New independent Zonder creatures seemingly can only be created through infecting sapient species.

!!Pasder (EI-01)
->Voiced by: Creator/KenichiOgata (JP)
The original Extraterrestrial Intelligence that landed on Earth at the beginning of the show, hence its designation. Pasder spends the next two years regaining his strength before finally reawakening and summoning four Machine Kings to begin the process of slowly Zonderising the entire planet. As soon as he finds out that Galeon is awake, he orders all four to hunt down and destroy the "Legacy of Cain" (No, not [[VideoGame/LegacyOfKain that one]]) but is ultimately defeated by our heroes with a liberal application of hammer to the face.

* BigBad: Of the first half of the series.
%%* DiskOneFinalBoss
%%* EvilSoundsDeep
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Doesn't personally take direct action against the GGG, until episode 30.
* TokyoTower: After absorbing a large amount of machines, Pasder disappears to hide under Tokyo Tower for 2 years.

!!EI-02 AKA Garbage Amalgam Robo
The second EI, and the first Zonder faced in the show. He was formed from a homeless man from Garbage Island named Kinzou Kodakarayama's desire for revenge against City Hall, and created from all of the garbage found on it, and also has a horse's head.
!!EI-03 AKA Iron Ball Machine Robo
A Zonder formed from the aggressive reigning champion of the SMW Pro Wrestling League, Bomber Death, merged with both the wrestling ring he was on and a nearby demolition crane.

!!EI-14 AKA Military Transport Robo
A Zonder formed from Dave, a bullied crew member merged with a large, military-transport aircraft.

* CurbstompBattle: On the receiving end courtesy of [=GaoGaiGar=]. That goes to show you that a [[RealRobotGenre Real Robot]] stands a snowball's chance in hell against a [[SuperRobotGenre Super Robot]].
* {{Expy}}: Its final form heavily resembles a MS-06 Zaku II from ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam''.

!!Pinchernone (pronounced Penchinon) / [[spoiler:Tomoro-117]]
->Voiced by: Creator/TsutomuKashiwakura (JP)
The insidious and calculating member of the Machine Kings, Pinchernone is best known for his sailor uniform/MonsterClown outfit and his downright creepy laugh. He serves as another foil for Pizza, whom he works most often with, and the two could almost be considered friends, if machine lifeforms can have friends. Pinchernone also develops a rivalry of sorts with Volfogg.

* AIIsACrapshoot: He IS a Zonderized computer, after all. [[spoiler:He gets better after purification, though.]]
* TheBrute: When the Zondarians take direct action and turn themselves into Zonder Robos, he's just about had it with Volfogg...
* CoolBoat: His victims usually have some kind of naval motif, and his Zonderian form is that of a huge ship. [[spoiler:Same goes for the J-Ark too, since his purified form is it's main computer.]]
* CoolStarship: [[spoiler:He becomes the main computer for one after his purification.]]
* EvilLaugh: BRRREEEEEEEEE!

The combined form of the 31 Primevals and the master program controlling every Zonder Metal and Zonder lifeform in the universe.

[[folder: Bettermen (Somniums)]]

!!In General:
* AdaptiveAbility: By consuming an Animus Seed they can change into a form better adapted to the current situation.
* EarlyBirdCameo: They first appeared in the Project Z trailer.
* FaceFramedInShadow: All of them except for Lamia.
* FusionDance: During the battle against Hakaiou, [[spoiler:the seven Betterman combined themselves into one form called Amalgam Betterman and what Akamatsu dubs Bettermen.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: They all share the same type of eyes: Red sclera and white pupils.
* {{Telepathy}}: They communicate through the Limpid Channel which connects all living beings, this makes them unable to communicate with the robots.
!!Lamia
----
* HeyYou: He doesn't refers to humans by their names, instead uses various titles, like calling Mamoru "Being of Light".
* TheLeader: Of the Somniums.
* VaguenessIsComing: Everytime he appears he says something cryptic and dissappears almost inmediatly.

* BigBad: Of this series.

Another member of the Soldato-J army and the only other survivor of the Red Planet.

The differences are that Soldato-J 0019 became a Zonder of his own free will by smashing his J-Jewel and killing his Arma while Soldato-J 002 was brainwashed into becoming one and he still has his Arma after returning to normal.

!!Shu
A former friend of Guy and agent of Bionet that is a cyborg powered by Zonder Metal.
