* VillainousIncest: Marries More or less his primary trait. Though incest is a core theme in both the books and the show, Craster takes it UpToEleven as he marries and rapes his daughters on a routinely basis.

* AngstWhatAngst: She came into the world as the result of one or two generations of incest in. Her world was effectively “rape, snow, and incest” until Sam shows up. When she starts following Sam along on his travels, she’s shockingly well-adjusted, intelligent (despite not being educated), and thanks to the actress, pretty and charming. Other characters have endured less and came out far worse.

Added DiffLines:

* EyesAlwaysAverted: As something of a leftover from being abused by Craster all her life, whenever she's being harassed, she averts her gaze and tries to get on with what she's doing. When housed at Molestown, one of the sex workers harasses her for ''not'' being a whore (under the logic that she thinks she's better than them), and later when at Castle Black, she's harassed by two rapist Night's Watch brothers. Both times her reaction is to keep her eyes glued to the floor and try her best to avoid giving them ammo to pester her with. Unfortunately its not a very effective strategy; both times its seen as weakness and so the harassment continues.

Added DiffLines:

* KickTheDog: She's the dog that gets kicked. She's among the many daughter-wives Craster keeps and abuses, she's bullied by a sex worker in Molestown when she's just trying to live in peace, two Night's Watch brothers harass and try to rape her, and Sam's father is condescending and racist towards her.

* EvilCannotComprehendGood: After being captured, he immediately assumes the Night's Watch [[ColdBloodedTorture is going to torture him to death]], as that's what Wildlings often do to their prisoners. He seems surprised when Jon Snow tells him he won't be tortured. In fairness, given the KnightsTemplar-style brutality and FantasticRacism of the Night's Watch's more extreme members, its very likely that this would have been the case if they didn't have Jon leading them.
