Formerly bannermen of House Yronwood, House Jordanye of the Tor is now sworn directly to the ruling House Martell, as one of their primary bannermen. For thousands of years, the Manwoody's of Kingsgrave have been kings in their own right, coming to power after slaying an ancient Gardener king at their future seat. They have always been aggressive and a danger to their neighbours, the houses Blackmont, Fowler and Yronwood in Dorne and the Marcher lords of the southern Stormlands. All this ended when Nymeria Martell defeated the last Manwoody king, the dreaded madman Albin Manwoody, making them her bannermen ever since. Their current head is Lord Mogor Manwoody.

Unlike other noble houses, the Allyrion's of Godsgrace have never been kings, instead ruling over their lands either as independent lords, or semi-sworn to nearby kings, such as the powerful Dryland's. Located southeast east of The Reach and south of the Stormlands, Dorne is home to the only desert in Westeros.Westeros. Unified much later than the rest of the continent, Dorne practices equal primogeniture, as well as being more open about homosexuality and bisexuality. It is ruled by House Martell from the castle of Sunspear, who style themselves as Prince or Princess instead of King thanks to the Rhoynar influence.
