[[spoiler:[[GuileHero Jaune]] takes full advantage of this by making a show of attacking Salem, forcing Tyrian to instinctively protect his Queen but leaving the Paragon open to retaliatory strikes from Blake, Qrow, Pyrrha, and Weiss.]]

[[spoiler:Tyrian, a noble and accomplished Hero who failed to save the Mistral Queen due to her own cowardice, was made a scapegoat and Forsaken by the Mistral hierarchy to save their reputation, and ends up dying in an (unneeded) attempt to save his new Queen Salem, whom he summoned in a mad attempt to create a more peaceful and inclusive Mistral. * IdealHero: Dedicated himself to being one and was held as one of the greatest Heroes of Mistral, not only due to his class, but also by accepting every request made to him, while never asking for anything in return. [[spoiler:It later ended up destroying him when his failure to protect the Queen of Mistral due to her own cowardice, caused the King to brand him as [[{{Unperson}} Forsaken]] so no one would know the truth, and was shunned by everyone for it.]]

* TheScapegoat: Was made into one by the Mistralian monarchy in order to [[spoiler:keep the truth of the queen's cowardice and idiocy hidden from the rest of the world.]]

* {{Unperson}}: Was branded as a Forsaken [[spoiler:due to the Queen fleeing like a coward and getting herself killed, and the King using Tyrian as a scapegoat to maintain the Royal's reputation.]]

* AdaptationalIntelligence: Canon Raven's idea of a plan was to keep herself safe in a way that put her in more danger. This Raven's plans always go her way, has everyone acting as she predicts, and knows everything personal about specific people she uses, [[spoiler:like the extent of Jaune's Blacksmithing Skills, and Lisa's true lineage,]] so that everything works towards her goals.

* AxeCrazy: Along with her complete lack of regard torwards her own family or the lives of anyone but herself, she's perfectly happy [[spoiler:setting up the whole world to be her enemy and fight her Greycloaks, so that she can kill off and gain Exp from the exhausted survivors.]] All in order to be strong enough [[spoiler:in an attempt kill Salem and gain Exp from her by summoning her to the world permanently, and is perfectly content to die should she fail so as to avoid any further consequence.]] Goes even further when she describes [[spoiler:killing Qrow]] as him living on as part of her, showing just how deranged she truly is.
* BigBadWannabe: As the leader of the entire Greycloak organization, Raven presents a meaningful threat to the heroes and Remnant as a whole. That said, she is nowhere near as powerful or menacing as Salem. [[spoiler:Raven's attempt to kill the Queen of the Grimm ends with the former being killed rather easily.]]

* ContrivedCoincidence: Her plan needed Salem conveniently granting a wish for a powerful weapon in such a way as to leave her with [[spoiler:an unearthly and uniquely strong metal for Jaune to eventually forge into an InfinityPlusOneSword.]]

She engages in mass slaughter simply to gain Levels, [[spoiler:sets up a system of gladiatorial fights just to gain Exp when she kills the winner,]] and the entire plot of the story is for the purpose of her successfully making a wish to Salem. If Ozpin sends an army after her, the Greycloaks will fight them to the death, whittling the army down enough so that once Raven joins the fray, she has an easier time fighting them, earning more Exp for herself in preparation for killing Salem. If the Heroes decide not to act against her, that's fine; she'll just summon Salem herself. Beyond that, if Raven's plan to kill Salem falls through, that's fine as well; Raven would be dead and free from the consequences of unleashing the dark god on the world.]]
