* GenreSavvy: He is the only hero to call out Theresa's manipulations from the very outset, specifically citing her ability as a Seer would mean she knows how to arrange certain outcomes and coincidences. He immediately recognises her "rescue" and the events that followed were something she knew would happen and in fact made happen.

* TheWrongfulHeirToTheThrone: An interesting example of this trope. The Corrupter was denied what he sees as his rightful place on the throne due to William Black "cutting" him out. He is described by Theresa as a part of Black and thus probably still sees himself as one in the same. Denied his chance to take over as king because his host abdicated the thrown and then cast him into the void as a further precaution, he still sees ruling Albion as his "birthright."

* CoolHorse

* BiggerBad: He has been influencing the evil in Albion since his exile in the days of the Old Kingdom. In that regard Jack of Blades can also be regarded as this to him due to being his "creator." Though it's still unclear whether or not this was a conscious action on Jack's part.

* TheCorrupter: His existance began as an entity trying to corrupt [[spoiler: the mind and body of one the great Archons, William Black. Since being exiled into the void by Black he has spent his time corrupting both people and the very land itself with evil.]] Notably he managed to turn the revered hero, The Temptress, over to his side with promises of power.

* EldritchAbomination: Created by Jack of Blades [[spoiler:or ''his'' Sword of Aeons]] by [[spoiler:inflicting whether conciously or not a disease into William Black during his first encounter with him]].

* AmplifiedAnimalAptitude: Seren is far more intelligent than a normal horse, seemingly understanding every word Gabriel says. This is fairly standard for the animal companions of Heroes in Albion though. This is taken to its logical extreme when [[spoiler: in the finale it is Seren who urges her master to leave her behind and save Albian, knowingly sacrificing herself for the greater good.]]

* PhonyPsychic / NotSoPhonyPsychic: ZigZagged. His predictions are vague and silly, yet still hold some truth regarding Gabriel's future. He does predict his meeting Theresa. Though Gabriel only continues hearing him out due to morbid curiosity, after dismissing his talents (or lack thereof) on their first encounter. [[spoiler: Benny's final prediction before retiring from the psychic business is amusingly his most accurate, predicting Gabriel's quest and it's importance. Once they ride off Gabriel notes this to Theresa who dismisses it as a "broken clock being right twice a day."]]

* AscendedFanboy: Gabriel was obsessed with the tales of the Heroes and their deeds. Interestingly he's not actually too keen on actually taking on the dangers of a hero's adventure once Theresa tasks him with a aiding her. This is largely because whilst he has great admiration for Heroes he knows he isn't actually one himself. And he's technically right, as the bloodline of Archon has actually faded.

* ICallHerVera: Bessie his beloved blunderbuss. Though she's largely useless [[spoiler: until the Devourer gets a shot to the face from her that is.]]
