* GutturalGrowler: He's normally high-pitched when joking around, but when he drops the silliness and is all business, his voice grows noticeably deeper and has a slight growl to it.

get rid of the cutesy monologue and just say what the damn thing does

* SiblingYinYang: In terms of both gameplay and story, both Golbez and Cecil are complete opposites. Cecil is an upstanding knight who fights at melee range with a spear, in junction with both darkness and light-based attacks. While Golbez ultimately does have pure intentions, he is much more willing to commit more morally ambiguous acts [[spoiler:such as convincing Kain to off most of his comrades to protect them from the Manikin horde and have them survive to the thirteenth cycle]]. In terms of gameplay, he's a mage that specializes in using magic at varying ranges. He also doesn't use a weapon.

* SiblingYinYang: He and Cecil, especially in the latter's Paladin aspect.
