* CommonalityConnection: Caius finds common ground with Astos after learning that the dark elf's power comes from the sheer grief that replaced his heart over being forgotten by Jack Garland and his friends over countless repeated lifetimes, Caius stating it's the exact same grief and dark power he experiences as the guardian from Yeul, being forced to watch her die as the seer over and over again.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Despite using the power of darkness to fight with and looking like a vampire with pronouced veins, he's still polite to everyone he meets, apologizes humbly for testing the party, refuses to go along with Exdeath's plan and can't wait to meet Jack and Neon again.

* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: While there's multiple characters with attacks that deal HP damage to the enemy based on something else than their current BRV, Astos takes it even further by having all his skills deal damage based on his Dark Matter overhead buff: its maximum value is determined by Astos' true maximum BRV (ie. no overflow) and when he uses his skills, they don't consume his normal BRV or his Dark Matter BRV and each HP dump deals damage based on a multiplier of his current Dark Matter value, and this is further increased by any buffs, debuffs or auras that increase HP damage done to the enemy. His Burst buff removes the normal cap on the amount of damage he can deal with his skills, letting him deal up to 999k damage with each HP dump by default if his Dark Matter BRV is high enough and there's enough HP damage-increasing effects active. However, he still has weaknesses: his Dark Matter BRV starts at 0 at the beginning of every fight and he can only increase it by dealing BRV damage, which only his LD and Force skills do, getting broken halves his current Dark Matter BRV and if the enemy has an effect that greatly reduces HP damage, he's unable to deal any damage to them and normal ways to bypass this like Quina don't work on him.

Encountered by the party in Act 4 Chapter 3 Part 1. \n Astos's arrival in the world is sensed by several characters as another concentrated source of darkness, similar to Jack Garland. When Exdeath plots to rejoin this world to the old World of Respite, Astos joins his power to the Onion Knight and his allies - particularly Garland and Caius - and fights alongside them while expressing his wish to be reunited with Jack Garland and the other Strangers.

Added DiffLines:

Astos is purely a magical attacker, building up absurdly high damage through the use of his overhead buff. With no support or utility capabilities, damage is all he can offer, but it does not hold him back.

* ExtraTurn: Asura and Sword of Fury both are instant turn-rate, so Neon can attack again immediately after using them.
