* AmbiguousDisorder: It is stated that Samuel suffers from some form of mental illness that is also a TitleDrop, called "Daymare Syndrome" which seems to be vivid and disturbing Hallucinations, headaches, and implied aggression, it seems to be a common enough illness that he regularly has to take medication for. Turns out said mental illness was caused by Hexacore who was using him (and many others) as an experiment. Even worse is that his wife was apart of it.

* BaldOfAwesome: Is one of the main protagonists and also has a buzz-cut that helps accentuate the scars on his head.

* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler: While he was ''was'' wrongfully blamed for being a traitor to Hexacore and for causing the outbreak, it's hard to feel bad for him when he dies since he's a gloating, sociopathic Jerkass who killed innocent people just to survive.]]
