[[caption-width-right:350:From left to right: Manako, Tionishia, Smith, Doppel, Zombina]]

A squad of four [[AmazonBrigade female]] monsters and [[TokenHuman Ms. Smith]], who go after those monsters who exploit the Interspecies Protection Act.
----
* AmazonBrigade: One wonders why, actually. You know, besides the [[{{Fanservice}} obvious answer]].
* FunWithAcronyms:
** "MON" apparently stands for "[[GratuitousEnglish Monsters of a Neuro]]".
** The official English version has it stand for "Monster Ops: Neutralization".
** The anime changes it so instead of being an acronym, it's short for "'''MON'''ster's New Law"
* HostileShowTakeover: {{Downplayed}} in the anime. When the episode debuting MON aired, the end credits song (staring MON) played as the opening credits song, while the normal opening credits were moved to the end credits.
* ALizardNamedLiz: As usual, their names are based on their species[=/=]traits, but not exact matches.
* ObviousRulePatch: They more-or-less owe their existence as a law enforcement body to the shoddy and loophole-ridden state of extraspecies law making the arrest of extraspecies criminals by human cops very tricky legal ground.
* PrettyFreeloaders: In Volume 3's extra, Kimihito and Meroune point out that they spend a lot of time at his house. And in Mero's pool specifically.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: They have varying degrees of professionalism and wildly different personalities, but they're pretty competent at their jobs.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: Strongly hinted at in the end of Chapter 22. Zombina, Tionishia, and Manako all admit to having enjoyed their time with Kimihito, and immediately switch the conversation to looking into doing the homestay thing as well when their boss is notorious for just dumping more and more girls into Kimihito's home.
** An extra in volume 10 has Smith tell the girls they're marriage candidates for Kimihito as well. Tio, Manako, and Zombina [[LuminescentBlush react as one would expect]] before discussing the matter among themselves. Doppel, on the other hand, appears annoyed by this announcement and presses her boss for the reasoning, [[InsaneTrollLogic which turns out to be throwing more choices into the mix in hopes that ANY choice is finally made]] [[ItsAllAboutMe to reduce her workload]]. The others overhear this and admit it'd have been nice if the reason was something less horrible.

[[folder:Kuroko Smith]]

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/0_animesmith3.png]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/YuuKobayashi (Japanese), Creator/ShelleyCaleneBlack (English)

Kimihito's cultural exchange coordinator, and the leader of MON. Rather lazy when it comes to her job, yet she still seems to have no problem dumping girls off on Kimihito and using him as a guinea pig for amendments to the exchange program's rules.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: Chapter 11 is focused on her and her Special Forces Squad.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her first name has not been said in the manga or anime, but was revealed with official merchandise.
* AmbiguouslyBi: She clearly has a bit of a thing for Kimihito (or at least pretending like it [[TheGadfly to unsettle him]]), but she also spent most of the jousting match in chapter 29 enjoying the sight of Centorea and her mom's boobs bouncing.
* BeleagueredBureaucrat: The reason she's so lazy and irresponsible is because her job is a rotten combination of demanding and thankless.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: She may be a bum at times, but she's absolutely terrifying when she suspects someone's breaking the rules or threatening to harm someone.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite the fact that she can be lazy and forgetful, and routinely bums for food ([[MustHaveCaffeine or coffee]]) or messes with Kimihito for the fun of it, Smith is very good and proactive at her job as the coordinator. She also runs MON, which is effectively ''a second'' full-time job.
* CheshireCatGrin: A mischievous, teasing smirk ([[PerpetualSmiler which she wears constantly]]) is her trademark expression.
* CoolShades: To go with her traditional government agent's uniform.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: When {{the glasses come off}} and she's exceptionally pissed off at the last orc still standing in Chapter 11.
* DynamicEntry: Fond of these, whether it's kicking down a love hotel door or jumping through Kimihito's bedroom window.
* FashionableAsymmetry: In the very beginning her bangs cover one eye just short of PeekABangs. The [[ArtEvolution art quickly evolves]], however, and she's currently symmetrical.
* FirstNameBasis: With most of the cast, even though she does interact with them non-professionally. As for Kimihito, she calls him by his name once and then starts to casually call him Darling, just because. Hilariously her phone info for him has him labeled as "Darling-kun".
* FriendToAllChildren: Ms. Smith is shown to be very kind and caring to children, as shown when she and M.O.N. rescue a bunch of extraspecies children from kidnappers in a flashback in chapter 20, and her interaction with Yuuhi in chapter 38 [[spoiler:after her transformation into a zombie.]]
* TheGlassesComeOff: When she's off duty. Or hurting someone.
* IdiotHoudini: Kimihito suffers no end due to her irresponsibility, and she rare suffers for it. This backfires on her in chapter 13: she left her coworkers to cover her at work while saying it was to keep the other girls away from the ill Kurusu (to avoid a viral mutation), when in fact she just wanted to slack off. Once she catches his cold, her coworkers refuse to help her for the same reason she gave them.
* TheLadette: She's grossly irresponsible at her job, constantly bums off Kimihito for meals, and her own apartment's a sty.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After using Kimihito's sickness as an excuse to avoid paperwork and dump it on MON, she's left to take care of herself when she becomes sick.
* LastNameBasis: She's only referred to as Ms. Smith in the manga and anime. Her full name wasn't even a case of AllThereInTheManual until [[http://s13.postimg.org/r7kqlk60n/1442081515644.jpg this piece of merchandising]] revealed that her full name is Kuroko Smith.
* MeaningfulName: Her first name, Kuroko, roughly translates to "person in black" and is the name of stagehands in kabuki theater who are responsible for moving props and scenery in order for the plot to continue. Smith, most of the time, is responsible for the cast being put into new situations, sending them new places, and is always wearing her black secret agent outfit.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: In a number of chapters, she seems to enjoy getting up in Kimihito's face without warning. Whether because it unsettles him or because Smith has a more-than-professional interest is anyone's guess.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: She generally acts like a ditzy bureaucrat, but [[LetsGetDangerous when things get serious, she drops the act]].
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Implied as the reason she still has her job.
* PointyHairedBoss: A huge part of Kimihito's problems comes from how irresponsible she is. However, there is a bit of a hint in chapter 10 that [[BeleagueredBureaucrat she does this because she's overworked already and never gets a raise for what she already does. Considering that we've seen her do all the things she rattles off, she may very well be telling the truth,]] and to her credit, when she's actually doing her job, she's pretty damn competent. The hunch was pretty much confirmed with Chapter 11.
--> '''Ms. Smith:''' I have a lot of different jobs. Looking for home stays, working as the extra-species exchange ministry's gun...er, as security and surveillance, putting new experiments into practice...but I never get a raise for it. So I'm not gonna deal with this! Illegal entry? New species? Not my job! That's why I won't define "slime" as an extra-species!
* PsychoticSmirk: Sports a small, but very ominous, one when dealing with the orc leader.
* RapunzelHair: Has waist-length black hair.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Zigzagged. She often forgets to mention new stuff to Kimihito regarding the homestay program, causing problems that could have been avoided, such as being reimbursed for food expenses for the girls. And though she tends to lump a lot of responsibility, and new monster girls, onto him, she does at least try to help get his house refurbished to accommodate the new guests, and helps take care of a lot of behind the scenes activities as well as the mundane paperwork.
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: "[[BlatantLies Doppel]]" stays behind with the orc leader to "[[SoundOnlyDeath punish]]" him [[ItsPersonal for making her job harder]], while [[BodyDouble Doppel leaves as her]].
* ShesGotLegs: She even lampshades it when Kimihito reveals he has a leg fetish in an extra chapter and the Anime sure loves to focus on them when they are bare.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name was mistranslated in the first chapter as "Sumike" in the fan translation, most probably due to the translator confusing the katakana for ''ke'' (ケ) with that for ''su'' (ス). It doesn't help that her name is still written in kanji.
* SpitTake: Ms. Smith has one of these after hearing this from Kimihito:
--> '''Kimihito''': "But the real person to blame for all of this is Ms. Smith!"
* TokenHuman: She's the only known human member for MON, though the nature of the group leaves her to ''typically'' just be the face of the group while the extraspecies members handle the work.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: [[MustHaveCaffeine Coffee]], specifically Kimihito's coffee. The cheap instant coffee during a meeting is regarded as awful, the cheap instant coffee at his house that he makes is ''the best''.
* VictoriasSecretCompartment: For her tranquilizer gun.
* YourDoorWasOpen: She has a tendency to simply appear without warning or explanation, notably in the first chapter where the reveal that she's present startles Kimihito and again showing up suddenly among the rest of MON in Chapter 11.

[[folder:Zombina]]

[[quoteright:279:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/00_zombina.png]]

-> Voiced by: Rei Mochizuki (Japanese), Creator/KiraVincentDavis (English)

A living dead and commander of the squad.
----
* AlienBlood: To prevent decomposition, her blood has been replaced with embalming fluid circulated by an artificial heart. The fluid is hazardous to the living. [[spoiler: And it tastes really bad to vampires.]]
* ArtisticLicenseGunSafety: She twirls them, strikes poses, sprays bullets with reckless abandon, and as a side story reveals, sleeps with at least two just lying in bed with her. Considering she's already dead, she'd likely be more annoyed about holes in her mattress than getting shot in the midriff.
* AttractiveZombie: A hot redhead with patchwork skin and mismatched eyes.
* BloodKnight: She's shown to be enjoying herself during the hostage situation in chapter 11, and at the end of chapter 15's hostage situation her only concern was that she didn't even get to shoot someone.
* BoyishShortHair: She has short hair and she's TheLadette.
* ButtMonkey: In chapter 20, she spends most of the time getting stomped on by giant monsters, culminating with her buried in a crater. It's okay though, since she's already dead.
* CantActPervertedTowardALoveInterest: The first sign she's beginning to develop serious feelings for Kimihito is that she suddenly feels very embarrassed at the idea of him seeing her nude, even though she had him sew her detached breast back on as a prank when they first met.
* CoolBigSis: To Yuuhi, the [[IllGirl sickly young girl]] who [[spoiler:is turned into a zombie by Lala using one of Zombina's fangs to save her life]].
* DeadToBeginWith: Obviously.
* DeliberateInjuryGambit: She used being gunned down and left for dead to her advantage to later surprise the orcs with the fact that she was not ''really'' dead (well, permanently) and also very much armed.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Implied in chapter 46, with Manako badly car-sick and Tionishia complaining about Zombina "driving too rough".
* DualWielding: She prefers small firearms that let her do this. Notes state that Zombina's guns take up ''half of MON's budget''.
* {{Fangirl}}: Enjoys zombie films, and after seeing one on her "date," begins enthusiastically discussing the various tropes and trends of the genre.
* FeelNoPain: She explicitly states it while hanging out with Kimihito. Whether she can feel... [[PowerPerversionPotential other things]] is more ambiguous. Considering the fact that [[spoiler: [[SayItWithHearts she moaned]] when Kimihito inadvertently pinched her nipple and her embarrassment that she did so]], the evidence suggesting that she can feel pleasure, at least, is rather solid.
** This also explains how Lala was able to extract a tooth from her in her sleep.
* FieryRedhead: Bright red hair to fit her personality.
* FreakinessShame: A rather odd case in that she seems ashamed that she is not freaky enough, which makes her freaky in a different sense. She confides to Kimihito that since zombies are just humans who caught a strange disease she considers herself as barely counting as an extraspecies/monster girl.
* FriendlyEnemy: With Shiishii. Since they're similar races, Zombina has to deal with the trouble Shiishii causes, and they've ended up forming a bond over time.
* FriendlyZombie: As a zombie monster girl who's also a {{ninja}} and a member of [[ElitesAreMoreGlamorous M.O.N.]] She had the mission of capturing [[FriendlyNeighborhoodSpider Rachnera]], but eventually failed thanks to [[TokenHuman Kimihito]], who also has a crush on him and get a couple of dates with him.
* GoodThingYouCanHeal: Well... Not die from gruesome injuries anyway. [[DontExplainTheJoke She actually can't heal naturally anyway]].
* GunKata: She's been seen to strike rather elaborate poses while shooting, arguably not for the reduced target area this would usually be for and simply because it's [[RuleOfCool cool]] as her primary concern over getting shot is what it'll do for her weight.
* GunsAkimbo: Fond of wielding a gun in each hand, whether they be submachine guns or ''assault rifles''.
** ATeamFiring: Actually ''hitting'' stuff with them, on the other hand...
* GunTwirling: Does this to adjust her guns to have them aiming back at herself to shoot the orc holding her.
* {{Hammerspace}}: When she first shows up, there are no weapons visible on her. When she gets back up, she suddenly has a [[GunsAkimbo pair of guns]].
* HotBlooded: Zombina has no problems with shooting herself to shoot others and insists that it would be badass if Manako [[AwesomeButImpractical sawed off the end of her gun and got a second one to go with it]].
** Her suggestion to Manako goes even further into AwesomeButImpractical territory in the official English version, suggesting the use of [[SawedOffShotgun sawed off shotguns]] rather than simply modifying the sniper rifle itself.
* HypocriticalHumor: Somewhat dislikes movies with fast, active zombies... despite being one herself. Though, FridgeBrilliance kicks in, as many people in RealLife don't enjoy watching movies for entertainment with characters that are too much like them.
* ImmortalLifeIsCheap: Good thing she won't die even if she's killed.
* ImmuneToBullets: Her only concern over being shot is what it'll do for her weight.
* TheLadette: Loves action, violent movies, munching meat, and hot-blooded shouting.
* LuminescentBlush: After being told by Kimihito that he doesn't think of her as a corpse but an actual person she begins to blush, and continues to do so while he sews her boob back on. The impossibility of this is {{Lampshaded}} by her thinking that her heart might start beating again.
** Later it makes sense with the information that she has an artificial heart and blood.
* MadeOfIron: See DeliberateInjuryGambit, ImmortalLifeIsCheap, and ImmuneToBullets. Zombina getting horribly injured has pretty much become a RunningGag.
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: Her eyes are yellow (right) and green (left). [[MixAndMatchMan Her left eye was replaced with a transplant after losing the original.]]
* TheMentor: A bonus chapter shows that Zombina is [[spoiler:giving lessons to Yuuhi regarding her new status as a zombie]].
* MixAndMatchMan: While she refers to herself specifically as a zombie, her appearance gives off the impression of being put together from parts from multiple corpses. Her heart and blood are artificial, and her left eye is a transplant. Lampshaded in one ''I Heart Monster Girls'' story where it's pointed out that she looks more like Frankensteins' Monster than a zombie, causing her to go on a long discussion about the different kinds of undead.
** It's explained on a [[AllThereInTheManual side page]] that because she's dead, her skin won't repair itself when she's injured. So when her skin is broken or pierced, she puts a skin graft over the wound. This is what leads to her patchwork appearance.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When she finds out [[spoiler:her tooth was used to zombify Yuuhi]], she's absolutely mortified, even though she doesn't even remember doing it, [[spoiler:because it was Lala who did the deed via a pair of pliers.]]
* NighInvulnerability: Par for the course, considering she's an undead. She can shake off bullets with ease as stated above, and getting crushed by two kaiju didn't seem to have done any lasting damage.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: Ninja Zombie SWAT-Policewoman anyway.
* NoNameGiven: "Zombina" is most likely a nickname. It's very unlikely that her parents named her such as a normal living girl... Then again, we know absolutely nothing about her former human life.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Her kind are specifically stated to be [[PlagueZombie Plague Zombies]] created from an infectious disease, although she doesn't appear interested in spreading it, and is horrified when she thinks she did by accident. She also has an artificial heart and blood to prevent her body from decaying. It's also revealed that there are other subspecies of zombies that don't fall under this description, such as {{mumm|y}}ies or [[ChineseVampire jiang shi]].
* PlagueZombie: Her teeth contain a virus that causes people to become zombies when they die. However, this only happens if a person either dies shortly after being bitten or is already close to death. Otherwise, their immune system will eliminate the virus.
* RareGuns: Dual wields a pair of Street Sweeper shotguns in the manga. Not many were made, and are generally inferior to other modern semi automatic shotguns. [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armsel_Striker]] [[https://youtu.be/Uoy14h6K5TY]] Notably, the guns were banned in the US based on the name alone.
** Her profile states her love of rare guns takes up ''half of the budget for MON''.
* RetCon: Her original profile stated that her body is hard and stiff, [[FanDisservice including the breasts.]] However, later appearances show her chest is just as soft as the other girls. RuleOfSexy wins out (or maybe Okayado found out that rigor mortis only lasts about two days and then the body loosens up again).
* ShootTheHostage: Zombina, being undead, is not adverse to shooting through her own body to surprise kidnappers.
* SlasherSmile: A little TOO into hurting people.
* SlidingScaleOfUndeadRegeneration: Type II. She can't heal normally, but she doesn't rot either.
* StealthPun: As stated below, she's a YaoiFangirl, which in Japanese can be rendered with the word "fujoshi". The literal meaning of "fujoshi" is "rotten girl", so we have a zombie girl that is ''metaphorically'' rotten inside and "literally" rotten outside.
* TheTease: During her "date," when she [[PowerPerversionPotential undoes the stitches on one of her boobs]] to see how Kimihito will react.
* TemptingFate: In Chapter 20, she joked about how being around a toxic waste dump would make someone grow until they were a giant. [[spoiler: This is exactly what happens to Kii and Suu.]]
** In an extra at the end of Volume 3, she calls Doppel out on her attempts to tan, after having her own called out, since there's no way Doppel would get any darker. The next panel has Doppel changing herself to be pitch black.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: She manages a deadpan "Uh..." as a giant-sized Suu and Kii topple directly at her.
* {{Tomboy}}: BoyishShortHair, TheSquadette, [[TheLadette not a bit girly]], HotBlooded. Check, check, check.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Meat. Eating it in public can cause a panic, for obvious reasons.
* YaoiFangirl: According to her profile she bounces around between fandoms, recently switching from ''Manga/KurokosBasketball'' to ''Manga/AttackOnTitan'', and ships everything from Levi x Eren to Bertholt x Eren.
* YouAreWhatYouHate: Downplayed example. She prefers movies with Romero-style zombies to movies with fast and aggressive zombies, despite being one herself.

[[folder:Doppel]]

[[quoteright:306:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/00_doppel.png]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/SaoriOnishi (Japanese), Creator/EmilyNeves (English)

A doppelgänger who serves as the infiltrator of the squad, due to her shapeshifting abilities.
----
* AdaptationalCurves: In the manga her default form is flat-chested, but in the video-game she is far more buxom. Justified as it is noted in her character profile that she can change her appearance at will.
* ArentYouGoingToRavishMe: After her date with Kimihito, [[spoiler:she offers to let him do whatever he wants to her in the form of whatever woman he desires. Instead, he asks her to wear clothes.]]
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: {{Averted}}, as she's not crazy, but she does have black sclerae in her default form.
* BodyDouble: Served as one for Ms. Smith at least on one occasion.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Happened only once so far, in the color intro for Chapter 39, where she directly speaks to the readers. Being an EldritchAbomination somewhat justifies this.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: In her ShapeshifterDefaultForm she has dark skin and white hair, as shown in her full-color pictures and the anime.
* {{Doppelganger}}: She presents herself as one for the convenience of others, as whatever she actually is is beyond comprehension and a Doppelganger is simply the closest thing we can imagine.
* EldritchAbomination: Her true appearance, real name, and even native language, are all beyond human comprehension. Her "faceless" self is described as having hair-like tentacles and jet black skin, an appearance she uses to freak people out. Her profile hints that she may be in fact be the Lovecraftian Old God, Nyarlathotep, mentioning she has an air of [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos Crawling Chaos]] around her. Chapter 39's full-color intro implies that she can't control her appearance all the time, showing creepy red eyes and rows of teeth among her strands of hair while she's half-asleep. and her true nature is further teased by her choice of reading material: a ''Cthulhu Mythos'' compilation.
* TheGadfly: Enjoys playing around with people's feelings for fun and profit. [[spoiler: Case in point, she was behind the first "D" letter.]]
* GodivaHair: Always manages to conveniently cover her more sensitive parts. It's stated that no matter what angle you try to look from her hair will always appear to be covering it.
* HumanoidAbomination: Most of the time she takes the form of a cute girl but then Chapter 40 has her turn into a vaguely-seen, indescribable ''something'' only seen in silhouette that drives the Orc seeing it insane.
* IncrediblyObviousTail: [[spoiler: Despite [[RefugeInAudacity using a disguise that screams this all throughout Chapter 22]], she avoids detection from everyone except Manako by simply doing things that fit in with the background events. She finally blows her cover by fitting into this trope both in appearance and action.]]
* KickChick: She escapes from the orc holding her by kicking straight up until her foot reaches his face behind her.
* MasterActor: She's quite skilled at acting like other people; this makes her quite skilled at [[ManipulativeBitch manipulation]] as well.
* MysticalWhiteHair: A "doppelgänger" with white hair.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Doppel is actually always naked; the clothes of her disguises come from her hair. [[spoiler:The only time she wears clothes is at Kimihito's request, and she finds it extremely embarrassing.]]
* NiceJobBreakingItHero:
** [[spoiler:Not only did her writing the original D letter backfire spectacularly by allowing Kimihito to get ''even closer'' to '''all''' the girls, but it also seemed to have sparked an interest in him among her coworkers, and worst of all it ensured that when a ''real'' threatening letter came in MON didn't realize it was from a different source until it was too late.]]
** Her attempt to spark a friendship between Miia and Draco backfired when Liz - who Draco had been flirting with immediately prior - showed up.
* NonIndicativeName: If you want to be pedantic, she's actually a shapeshifter rather than a doppelganger. Doppelgänger are the exact copy of a single person, while shapeshifters can turn into anyone (and anything) they want, like Doppel does.
* OddlyVisibleEyebrows: Perhaps one of the few examples with an explanation. As stated above, her hair will always appear conveniently placed. This includes being "behind" her ''eyes'' so as to not obscure them.
* OhCrap: When the orc leader catches up to her due to Lilith's form having short legs, Doppel is noticeably afraid. She later tells Kimihito that she's not much stronger than an ordinary human.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: "Doppel" is not her real name. She uses that name because her real name cannot be pronounced or understood by humans.
* ThePrankster: [[spoiler:Wrote the original threatening note to try to push Kimihito out of maintaining a BalancedHarem.]] Chapter 40 reveals her general tendency to be helpful with her pranks, such as putting a stop to Lilith's mischief and helping Draco realize she should apologize to Miia for their disastrous first encounter. She further reveals that she loves working for MON because it allows her to prank without worrying about getting in trouble, as nobody cares if she messes with someone who is causing problems for others.
* PrehensileHair: She wraps herself with it to form her disguises, and as a convenient SceneryCensor. She only occasionally uses it to grab things, and in the end credits of the show, she uses it as a form of ''locomotion''.
* RapunzelHair: Her hair is about as long as she is, and then some. As stated in the PrehensileHair entry above, she doesn't even need to walk, her hair carries her!
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: She always goes around naked in her humanoid ShapeshifterDefaultForm, but she doesn't bother getting embarrassed because that's not her real form anyway. [[spoiler:When the very end of Ch. 40 shows that she complied with Kimihito's request to put on some clothes, she doesn't seem too happy with it. In fact, she actually gets ''embarrassed'' that she has to wear clothes, to the point where she covers herself with her own hair.]]
* ShapeshifterDefaultForm: While it's not her true form, her preferred form is a young girl with long white "tentacle-hair", jet-black skin, and SupernaturalGoldEyes with black sclera.
* TechnicallyNakedShapeshifter: She is technically always naked; the clothes of her disguises come from her hair.
* TotallyNotAWerewolf: It's mentioned in her profile that despite her abilities and nickname she's not a doppelgänger.
* TransformationHorror: When confronting the orc leader in chapter 40, [[spoiler:Doppel extrudes tentacles and insectoid limbs before splitting her head and body open into an enormous mouth lined with fangs and {{phlegmings}}, only shown in silhouette]]. The orc is reduced to a drooling wreck constantly mumbling ''[[MadnessMantra "Scary little girl scary little girl scary little girl..."]]''.
* TheUnpronounceable: It's said her real name cannot be pronounced or understood by humans.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Though clothes seem to be optional. She mostly uses it to sneak into sensitive places.
* WeakButSkilled: She admits her actual physical strength isn't much better than an average person's, and she has to rely mostly on her transformation abilities alone, though they more than make up for it.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: She really enjoys playing pranks, but they typically have an intended ultimately positive outcome, such as punishing Lilith for continuing her mischievous behavior, or helping Draco apologize to and make up with Miia. [[spoiler:Or trying to help Kimihito break out of maintaining his harem.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: She calls out Ms. Smith for using Kimihito as bait to catch Curie. Which is really saying something.

[[folder:Manako]]

[[quoteright:301:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/00_manako.png]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/MomoAsakura (Japanese), Creator/JadSaxton (English)

A monoeye who serves as the sniper of the squad, due to her keen vision.
----
* ACupAngst:
** She is especially conscious of her flat chest. In Chapter 29, when Manako hears that Centorea's breasts are so big that they snap a 103 centimeter bra, [[ColorFailure she does not take it well.]]
** Chapter 39's color pages reveal she does daily "bust size-up" exercises, though so far to no avail.
** One [=OVA=] shows that she insists on wearing a bra even when everyone points out she doesn’t technically need one.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: She assumes this is why she was told to snipe from 2km away.
* {{BFG}}: Her huge sniper rifle.
* BriefcaseBlaster: Of the shaped like a briefcase variety. She carries it around with her on her date with Kimihito.
* CryCute: Prone to these. This is mentioned as something of a racial trait to keep their eyes from drying out, but even among other Cyclops she's considered a crybaby.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: Or, in this case the window, as she has purple hair and a single purple eye to match.
* {{Cyclops}}: She has a single eye, but she's a Monoeye instead of a Cyclops. Cyclops are a sub-species of her race.
* FantasticArousal: In the OVA [[spoiler:she appears excited when Polt [[IntimateHealing licks a hair out of her eye]].]]
* FreakinessShame: She believes the world hates her for having just one eye, and notes that most people feel a little uncomfortable meeting her gaze.
--> '''Manako''': A little kid ran away from me again... This world truly does hate cyclops...
* FriendlySniper: And really insecure about herself to boot.
* HyperAwareness: She's incredibly observant about the people and things around her, such as noticing slight changes in a person's gaze or being able to snipe despite having limited depth perception. [[spoiler: She also spots "D" stalking the MON dates, likely even before the reader; Checking a clothes rack while Kimihito speaks with Zombina on Tionishia's date, checking some books to the left of the drink bar on Zombina's date, and finally twice during her own date buying a hot dog and hiding behind a vending machine while watching them.]]
* ImprobableAimingSkills: 2km away and she [[BlastingItOutOfTheirHands snipes every gun the orcs are carrying]] without missing, hitting them, or their hostage. Without a scope. Applying a silencer to her gun, however, is noted by her to somehow make it extremely difficult to aim.
* LogicalWeakness: Due to only having one eye, she has poor depth perception when it comes to close range objects and is likely to bump into things.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: She's actually pretty lanky.
* PunnyName: Manako sounds very similar to the word "monocle", an eye-wear meant for a single eye. It is also a Japanese word for "eye."
* RunningGag: Several chapters that she's shown up in, she's made comments about her eye hurting or being dry while tearing up. Her insecurity over how people might treat her over her eye comes up often as well.
* ShrinkingViolet: The shyest and most insecure girl of the series, not just MON.
* SuperSpeed: Only once as a form of OffscreenTeleportation. She manages to cover the 2km distance on foot in just a matter of minutes and implies it would've been less but her enormous gun slowed her down.
* TokenWholesome: Fanservice wise, she is easily the most wholesome girl in the entire manga, Lala included. She has had very few (if any) fanservice moments.
* WhenSheSmiles: It took her about 30 chapters, and her face was partly covered, but [[http://i.imgur.com/GHPKdbD.jpg it happened]].
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: She has dark purple hair, making her look kinda like an anime-fied [[WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}} Turanga Leela]].

[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/00_tionishia.png]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/YurikaKubo (Japanese), Christina Stroup (English)

An ogre who serves as hostage escort/guard of the squad, due to her immense size and power.
----

* AlmostKiss: Her warm presence is so overpowering that it was strongly implied that if Kimihito hadn't passed out in the hot spring at that moment, he probably would have chosen 'her' to be with out of all the liminal girls to be with.
* BigEater: Literally. Her massive size probably has something to do with her appetite. She's been known to eat entire cakes, as well as ice cream by the liter.
* BilingualBonus: It is commonly believed that her name should actually be spelled "Tianxia", which, in Chinese, would mean "Heavenly Knight". That is an apt description of her character. To top things off, her appearance is that of a ''Chinese'' ogre, not a Japanese one. [[ShrugOfGod God has yet to give his word on the matter.]]
* BoobsOfSteel: The physically strongest member of MON as well as the bustiest.
* ButNotTooBlack: The anime gives her considerably lighter skin than the manga.
* CuteBruiser: Despite having enough raw strength to throw a vending machine with little visible exertion, she gives Manako a run for her money for the most conventionally feminine member of MON.
* CuteLittleFangs: Has 2 of them.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: Usually how she's drawn, backed up by her full-color pictures and the anime.
* DubPersonalityChange: The English dub shows her as a loud, somewhat-obnoxious ValleyGirl as opposed to the more demure NiceGirl portrayal she gets in Japanese.
* {{Expy}}: Has a uncanny resemblance to [[Franchise/TouhouProject Yuugi Hoshiguma]].
* TheFashionista: The majority of the money she makes is stated to go into buying clothing and accessories, in part due to needing everything custom made. Manako's profile states that the entire group has high standards for fashion, but notes Tionishia as having the highest standards.
* GagBoobs: So massive they make Centoria's look normal by comparison. Her profile lists her as being a P Cup, and that that's large even among Ogres. Her bras are custom made and reinforced, described as a "marvel of modern engineering".
* GenkiGirl: Drags Kimihito from shop to shop all over town on their "date."
* GentleGiant: Despite her [[TheBigGuy impressive size and strength]], she is primarily the group's guard and escort, and typically uses her strength merely for [[ThereWasADoor forcible entry]]. [[TheHeart She also tries]] to insist that the group not fight amongst themselves and shows support for even the slightest of accomplishments.
* GirlyBruiser: She's larger than life with strength to match, but she's still TheHeart of the team, has rather feminine mannerisms, and a penchant for cute things judging by how she tried to [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe take a dolphin from the aquarium]]. And if her "date" is any indication, she loves shopping for really girly stuff.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She has blonde hair and a cheerful and feminine personality.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Her warm presence is so monopolizing that Kimihito, who is no stranger to powerful monster-girls, couldn't escape it and regards it as dangerous.
* HeightAngst: She's very sensitive about her great size.
* HornedHumanoid: Like most ogres. She has a single large, black horn growing from her forehead.
* ImTakingHerHomeWithMe: She finds the dolphins at the aquarium so adorable she grabs one and tries to take it with her.
* InappropriateHunger: They're in the middle of dealing with a hostage situation and she feels the need to, and actually does, start eating some chips.
** In chapter 15, after yet another hostage situation has been resolved, she is seen eating from a bag of chips.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Her characterization in Chapter 41 is a bit different from her usual ditzy, super-girly personality. She's presented as a motherly, almost angelic figure who emanates an aura that can calm anyone. Polt is almost brought to tears by this. Kimihito meanwhile is afraid of being unable of escaping her soothing embrace and/or being smothered by it (and her boobs!).
* IncrediblyObviousTail: While trying to spy on one of the "bait dates."
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Shows shades of this during her date(s) with Kimihito.
* LapPillow: Does this to Kimihito and later does it to [[spoiler: Kii and Polt at the same time]].
* LethalKlutz: Supplementary material show this. While she appears in only two of the about 70 web-based shorts, she still manages to bust open part of a wall in Kimihito's house and then smash a coffee table... while apologizing for the wall no less!
* MarshmallowHell: Gives Kimihito this treatment in Chapter 22, and again in Chapter 41, where she nearly accidently kills him with them.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: She has a rather slender figure underneath the armor. Doesn't stop her from throwing a vending machine with her bare hands.
* OurOgresAreHungrier: While she looks like the oni from Japan, she's actually an ogre, with the oni being a subspecies of ogre.
* RapunzelHair: Her hair extends all the way down to her waist.
* RunningGag: Her habit of picking up and throwing vending machines.
* ShoppingMontage: On her "date."
* StatuesqueStunner: She's noted to be at least 7 feet tall, and in comparison to Kimihito is a [[UpToEleven couple]] [[OneHeadTaller heads taller]]. Even among most monster girls she's apparently large, as the clothes at a store specifically stocked for extreme sizes were still too small for her.
** This actually turns out to be something of a disadvantage for her. Since, due to most clothing being too small for her, she needs to have everything custom made, which can be quite expensive. Especially since any use of her strength could tear it.
* ThereWasADoor: Justified. Going into a hostage situation straight through a door would not be the wisest of ideas. She has tall barriers/shields that brace the roof, too, so that [[RealityEnsues it doesn't collapse on top of her]].
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Junk food and [[SweetTooth sweets]].

* FunWithAcronyms:

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/0_animesmith3.png]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/YuuKobayashi (Japanese), Creator/ShelleyCaleneBlack (English)

* DeadToBeginWith: Obviously.

-> Voiced by: Creator/SaoriOnishi (Japanese), Creator/EmilyNeves (English)

* NiceJobBreakingItHero:

[[quoteright:301:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/00_manako.png]]

-> Voiced by: Creator/MomoAsakura (Japanese), Creator/JadSaxton (English)

A monoeye who serves as the sniper of the squad, due to her keen vision.
----
* ACupAngst:

* ShoppingMontage: On her "date."
