The Player's Mother.

* AdultsAreUseless: If you talk to her after the encounter with Jeff in the basement she'll ask if you're alright, but you're not given a choice to say anything. She also let's Sally (who was a stranger at that point) into their house on Day 3 while the protagonist was sleeping and makes it their responsibility to take care of her while she goes to work.

* UnnamedParent: As the Player's mother, she is naturally referred to only as "Mom".

A skilled sorceress and the cousin of Sally. The Player and Ben meet Samira in the forest on Day 2 and she warns them of the danger that lies within. After ignoring her warning, they are chased by Slenderman and she lets them stay in her house for the night.

* OneShotCharacter: A lot of them appear once and never again. Of the creepypastas, the ones who appear more than once include DerivativeWorks/JeffTheKiller, Fanfic/SonicExe, Literature/LaughingJack, Tails Doll, [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slender Man]], [=SmileDog=], and [[Literature/TheRake the Rake]]. * SerialKiller: This one is self-explanatory.

* IdenticalStranger: The male protagonist looks weirdly similar to [[Literature/JeffTheKiller Jeff The Killer]]. Although he doesn't have a GlasgowGrin like Jeff, they both have the same white hoodie and messy black hair. However, this isn't brought up or commented on in-game.

* BaldMystic: Has a bald head to symbolize him being enlightened about the nature of his existence as a video game character.

A suicidal version of [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Squidward]] from the lost episode creepypasta titled ''Fanfic/SquidwardsSuicide''. Ben and the Player encounter him in the abandoned theater on Day 4.

A black-and-white clown from the creepypasta of the [[Literature/LaughingJack same name]]. He's hysterical, [[AxCrazy murderous]], and laughs a lot, like his name suggests. The Player and Ben encounter him in the abandoned theater on Day 4.

A [[EldritchAbomination demonic entity]] that originated from the Fanfic/SonicExe {{Creepypasta}}. The Player, Ben, and Sally encounter him in the mountains on Day 3.

A demon encountered in the abandoned house on Day 5. In his own words, he's from a creepypasta that will exist in the future. He tells Ben and Sally that they're all video game characters being played with by the Player, which they refuse to believe.

* TheChosenOne: Bloo-Dee tells them this word for word.

The protagonist of the game that recently moved to [[TownWithADarkSecret Creelles Town]] with their mother. It is [[TheChosenOne their job]] to defeat various creepypastas alongside Ben and Sally in order to save Creelles Town.

* HeroicMime: While the heroic part is dependent on the player, the protagonist doesn't say very much at all.

* DisappearedDad: There's zero mention of the protagonist's father.

* PrayerIsALastResort: The player is sometimes given the option to pray when faced with creepypasta entities. Surprisingly, this is actually the correct option in some cases.

* FriendshipDenial: You can refuse to participate in the [[FriendshipMoment friendship moment]] between Sally and Ben on Day Four, but this will result [[spoiler: in you getting an instant game over from being [[DemonicPossession possessed]] by ''WebOriginal/{{Zalgo}}'']].

* AxCrazy: Becomes this in the bad ending after he realizes he's just a game character and is slowly being taken over by WebVideo/BenDrowned. Afterwards, he kills everyone in the town and gives the player a FateWorseThanDeath.

* SanitySlippage: Happens over the course of the game as he realizes he's just a video game character and is being taken over by Ben Drowned. If you choose to sleep on Day Five rather than getting all the medals and obtaining the [[HolyHandGrenade Absolute Holy Power]], he crosses the DespairEventHorizon and goes on a killing spree, leaving everyone but the player dead.

* TrueCompanions: The Protagonist, Ben, and Sally become this over the course of the game. This gets thrown completely out of the window in the bad ending, as Ben [[EverybodyDiesEnding murders everyone in town]], including Sally, and gives the Player a FateWorseThanDeath.

* SelfMadeOrphan: In the Bad Ending, Ben completely [[AxCrazy snaps]] and kills everyone in the town, including his own parents.

* OocIsSeriousBusiness: On Day Five he loses his glasses after following a mysterious voice and Sally remarks that he seems less expressive than usual. He doesn't scream when confronted by creepypastas either. Ben tells her he has no hope and feels like [[WebVideo/BenDrowned they've met with a terrible fate]].

* AmbiguousSituation: Despite being the protector of the town and a major player in defeating the creepypastas, he dissappears in the bad ending with no explanation. Ben allegedly [[EverybodyDiesEnding killed everyone in the town]]. but [[KilledOffscreen we don't see his body]] and Bloo-Dee is an angel so it's not entirely clear if he even ''can'' die.

* ScaryTeeth: Its teeth don't make it the most friendly looking dog.

* SuperSpeed: It's not stated outright that Smile Dog had this ability, but it does run ''very'' fast, making it difficult to get around. Smile Dog's speed is lowered in the MV Edition.
