Unless they change, the Summer Court Changelings' [[FinalSolution idea]] [[GuiltFreeExterminationWar for]] [[KillEmAll them]] might just be the best thing to happen for everybody else.

** The 'Time of Broken Scales', when the Changeling Summer Court tried to KillEmAll in revenge for the '[[ThisIsUnforgivable Burning of Amorea]]' and '''''[[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu NEARLY DID THE JOB]]'''''. It led to a complete reorganization of Draconic society that had not changed for countless thousands of years, including a switch from a Clan-based system ruled by Patriarchs/Matriarchs to a more meritocratic 'Dragon Lords' system where any Dragon worthy enough could become rulers of their Dragonflights. Subverted in that character-wise, it still wasn't enough to change who they essentially are, which took until the Dragon/Changeling Crises and later conflicts to begin showing signs of change.

** Many races hate them for being flying greedy butchers, but the Changelings in particular see them as their racial archnemesis because of [[ItsPersonal what they did to their homeland at the dawn of their people and nearly pushing them into extinction]]. The Changeling Summer Court in particular sees nothing wrong with simply [[KillEmAll killing them all]] in revenge, which they nearly succeeded in the [[FinalSolution Time of Broken Scales]]. However, this is ultimately subverted, as dragons are no more inherently evil than any species and a great many of them are benevolent and good. This unfortunately means such benevolent dragons frequently get subjected to FantasticRacism.

* VictorySex: Implied: after defeating Stormswirl once and for all [[spoiler:and saving their long lost children]], she and Pyro II tell Pyro III to [[spoiler:get to know his siblings]] while they deal with things in private, which Pyro III soon realizes ([[BrainBleach to his dismay]]) what the privite things are, in part due to how Cinder I is looking at his father. Justified, as the trauma of their children's fate was why they hadn't had any children since and they want to now that it's Year of the Dragon (and thus mating season for Avalar Dragons) after the catharsis of beating him once and for all [[spoiler:while also saving all their lost children]].

* RightsOfASuperiorSpecies: Says as much in his speech, believing dragons have the inherent right to rule over all other species.

* YouMonster: A lot of non-Dragon races and people hate Dragonkind for all the times they had ravaged their lands and killed their people in rapine and slaughter. It's pointed out that dragons could've ''always'' made these things, but most are too complacent to do so.

And it is heavily implied to be at least partially true; the Second Age Atomic/Information Era technological civilizations reached those heights and beyond in a time when Dragons and other magical/fantastical races and powers retreated into isolation from Equus proper. When Dragonkind's numbers are decimated by the Summer Court Changelings during the '[[FinalSolution Time of Broken Scales]]' 5,000 years before present-day Equestria, the world managed to advance to an industrial era. Needless to say, a LOT of non-Draconic races and [[DefectorFromDecadence even some of their own kind]] felt there is enough evidence for this to be true and [[YouMonster resented Dragonkind for it]].

** However, there ''were'' dragons who began to see the writing on the wall and began to grow and change, with Ember and several Free Dragon civilizations being the most obvious. These groups proceeded to start ''dishing out'' shocking defeats to the traditionalist Dragonflights as conflicts begin between them, showing that gradually, dragonkind's dependance on their natural power can't compete with those who actively try to better themselves.

Because of this, she had thrown her lot with Dragon Lord Ember in a secret alliance agreement, becoming one of her earliest major supporters among Dragon Lords for Ember's ideals and plans for the future of Dragonkind, even while she goes about satiating her own villainous wants and ambitions with other unrelated schemes and plans.

Factoring in his Draconic demigod status (being a spawn of Orochi himself), his true demigod size is that of a ''small mountain'' (I.e. somewhere below 1,000 meters in height), making him this to even mortal Dragons. And ''then'' there's his '[[SuperPoweredEvilSide Dark Form]]', which further increases his enormity UpToEleven, on a scale similar to Spike when he experienced his '[[SuperPoweredEvilSide Greed Growth]]'. Pyro II had milk this for all its worth by assuming his true form and holding up rival Dragon Lords or other belligerent parties in the palm of his gigantic claws to his grinning face, which is often enough to make them [[OhCrap reconsider]] [[BringMeMyBrownPants their]] [[BreakTheHaughty hostility]] upon realizing they are ''insects'' to him and allowing him to resolve conflicts peacefully.

* LargeAndInCharge: Now fully-grown, as a Dragon he is this by default, making him this trope with his Dragon Lordship. His Demigod status and the fact like the Giant races Dragon divines are, at minimum, as large to their mortal children/subjects/worshippers as normal Dragons are to Ponies and other non-Dragon races, meaning he is actually much larger than even the Dragon baseline. His default form rivals Ex-Dragon Lord Torch and even great Fire Wyrm Sergio mentioned in Chrysalis' comic backstory in size, but in reality he's size of ''small mountains'' at his true Demigod size - and even [[UpToEleven BIGGER]] when assuming his Dark Form - only dwarfed by his mate Lady Cinder, who is big even by Dragon demigod standards. * PintSizedKid: Used to be this compare to Valefor and pre-purified Cinder, albeit makes up for it by being a PintSizedPowerhouse. NOW the situation is reversed now that he's an adult with his son Pyro III, while he takes Dragonkind's age-size disparity UpToEleven thanks to his demigod heritage in his true size and power.

* SizeShifter: Owing to being a Dragon demigod, his true size is enormous enough that he must adjust his form's true magnitude in order to fit in without causing enormous damage. After mastering certain Draconic magics of the Avalar Dragonflights, he can shrink to a default size where he is around the same size as Torch, the Radiant Emerald Saber or Sergio, the great Fire Wyrm of the west. When necessary, he assumes his true form, which is the size of ''small mountains''. He can grow ''[[UpToEleven even bigger]]'' than that after mastering his '[[SuperPoweredEvilSide Dark Form]]', which induces a state of enlargement similar to the one Spike experienced (which, to put into perspective, turned Spike from a baby Dragon 1 foot tall to a monstrous version of his [[{{Kaiju}} adult Dragon form]] at least 50 feet in height).

* PintSizedKid: UpToEleven [[GiganticAdultsTinyBabies in comparison with his father and mother]], on account of him being a young Dragon whelpling small as Ponies, while his parents are presently fully-grown Dragon demigods whose 'normal' forms rivals the likes of ex-Dragon Lord Torch and Sergio the Fire Wyrm, and whose ''true'' forms are size of ''small mountains''.

* NighInvulnerability: Divines are by nature extremely hard to damage, but Cinder's domains make her even more difficult to damage even by their standards, as she can simply turn intangible to phase through attacks. Even if she ''is'' damaged, her pain tolerance is so high she's likely to just[[NoSell shrug it off.]]

* WorldsStrongestMan: He's implied to be one of the most powerful mortal dragons alive. It's noted he was the only dragon who stood a chance against Cinder in her corrupted adult form on the ''continent'' until Pyro reached his true potential. When Pyro III asked Cinder in present day whether she can crush Torch now as she is much stronger than before, she estimates that a rematch could still go either way.

* AncientEvil: The first dragon created by Tiamat ''period'', and one of the most monstrous and evil.
* {{Expy}}: Of Glaurung, the 'Father of Dragons' from J.R.R. Tolkein's ''[[Literature/TheSilmarillion The Silmarillion]]'', who was a creation of Morgoth. They even share the same names.
* FlawedPrototype: As Tiamat's first go of it, Glaurung lacks a 'cooling system' for his fire breath, and thus overheats if he overuses it and has to cool down by dousing himself in large bodies of water.
* OmnicidalManiac: As Glaurung is Dragonkind's pure unfiltered greed and desire for domination incarnate, his only concern are those things and he's completely willing to wipe out all life on Equus to get it.
* PsychoPrototype: He was Tiamat's first attempt at creating dragons, but due to lacking Bahamut's balance, Glaurung is pure, unfiltered greed and desire for domination. As a result, he and his brethren nearly destroyed the world and had to be sealed away to save it.
* SuperPrototype: Tiamat made him with power in mind, and thus he and his brother are in the same tier of power as she is and the Protodragons nearly wiped out all life on Equus.
