An old friend of Rongoa's who serves as a tour guide for the Researcher Trio and the Pillars during their visit in Angel's Throne.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: He's the one who told Rongoa to break things off with Arbeit and get back together after her project was finished to protect them both from a potential scandal. Unfortunately, Arbeit died as a result, sending Rongoa down his downward spiral and Tātari ended up leaving to Angel's Throne when Rongoa isolated himself. They've gotten back together, but he both blames and hates himself for it.
* YouDontWantToCatchThis: During his emotional upset over what happened with Rongoa, he heads to the Angel's Bounty's male public bathrooms and pretends to have a really contagious disease as an excuse to get everyone out, then seals the bathroom door from the inside with his [[DishingOutDirt earth magic]] so he could be alone. This not only causes a holdup with everyone wanting to relieve themselves, but also gets a Dilophosaurus staff member mad at him for the public disturbance.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: She used to be married at one point, until she discovered that she's infertile. While she can still lay eggs, her infertility left all her eggs inert. Both she and her husband were devastated by this, with the latter abandoning her for it. While she pulled through and started her own restaurant, Ma's Grill, she wasn't drumming up enough business, and she was constantly harrassed by the slimy Lacom, who wanted to buy the property she owned for himself. It wasn't until a disguised Blue Suede Heartstrings visited her following the merger between Angel Vale and Ashfall that things finally turned up for her.

A Green Dragon and a slimy business-drake who frequently harasses Anya, he made another attempt to buy out Anya's restaurant during the Researcher Trio's first day in Angel's Throne.

* ChekovsGunman: First introduced helping Mirthful Stone in Codex Quest(s) during a fight against Shadow Seherin, Tasche later takes a bigger role during the Abyssal Attack when he fell in with Mirthful's group.

* NothingExcitingEverHappensHere: If you ignore the corrupt town ministers, the murders by a cannibalistic serial killer, discovery of a Zebrican Gate, an evil sword equipped mad-pony, time loops, a dream demon, xenophobic demonstrations, stupidly-persistent kraken infestation, a terrorist attack at its tech museum, raids by ex-Ashfall raiders, concerts by bonafide Alicorn gods and several other things, nothing really do happen much in Cherub Cove.

The former Minister of Science in Cherub Cove, Ornatum was Aerri's former superior who bore a grudge against her, doing everything in his power to undermine and humiliate the 'upstart' out of petty envy of her greater brilliance than him. When his abuse of power and general corruption was exposed, he was forced to resign and was replaced by the more kindhearted and supportive Meleti, a fact which he still greatly resented. [[spoiler:Eventually to the point of helping Herrlich and his Neo-NRF in their Cherub Coves Technology Museum/Fair operation for a chance to take out Meleti and Aerri]].

* ArchEnemy: He serves as one for Aerri, as prior to the time loop, he did everything possible to ruin both her life and career (and even get her indirectly killed via her cancer) while he was her boss. The ''Codex Equus Project'' round-robin reveals the reason why he's so antagonistic towards Aerri -- he feels jealous of Aerri's superior intellect and scientific talents, and wants her out of the way so he could remain the smartest Dragon in Angel Vale. After he was forced to resign by Angel Vale's High Council on account of his corruption and replaced by the more benevolent Meléti, he goes on a quest for {{Revenge}} against the two Drakinas who "wronged" him, [[spoiler:turning traitor and siding with the Neo-NRF faction led by Herrlich to achieve his goals.]]
* AscendedExtra: His counterpart in ''[[VisualNovel/AngelsWithScalyWings Angels With Broken Hearts]]'' only appears briefly at the start of Anna's storyline (though sets the entire plot of that portion in motion). Here, he's expanded into a full character and was basically Cherub Cove's BigBad.
* BigBad: Due to leading a cabal of corrupt Ministers in Cherub Cove, he was ultimately responsible for a large amount of the town's problems and dirty dealings. This is more direct with Aerri and Limette, who he directly antagonized, and actually killed in the latter case.
* BigBadDuumvirate: [[spoiler:He shares the role of main antagonist of the Angel Vale Tech Museum Arc with Herrlich. While assisting Herrlich in his goals, his own plan amounts to using the entire thing to kill Aerri and Meleti out of envy.]]
* BrokenAngel: While mid-air, he loses one of his wings thanks to Jade Shell using her (untested) hydrokinetic control over non-water liquids to splash said wing with Aerri's [[StuffBlowingUp combustion spit]], combusting it into shreds and sending him falling to the ground.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: As little love or respect he has for [[spoiler:Herrlich and his Neo-NRF terrorists despite working with them, even he was aghast when he saw some of them and their security automatons being [[CurbstompBattle utterly massacred]] by [[SuperSoldier Ebon Drakes Chapterknights]] allied with Tere's group, although this is less sympathy for their suffering and more from the [[MookHorrorShow sheer carnage and terror]] of the situation.]]
* EvilGenius: [[spoiler:Plays this role as an ally of Herrlich and his Neo-NRF during their terrorist operation in the Cherub Cove Technology Museum/Fair]].

** He had Limette's husband murdered and arranged her death because he and his cohorts didn't like her teaching free thinking and that underminded his ability to keep others from rivaling his intelligence.
** The entire reason why he tried to ruin Aerri [[spoiler:to the point of helping reactionary terrorists]] was that he was envious over Aerri being a smarter and more talented prodigy than him, and couldn't stand her upstaging him. He also hates Meleti simply for replacing him after he was forced to resign from his position, seeing her as an usurper who doesn't deserve his rightful position. This becomes more apparent as Aerri's group realizes the implications [[spoiler:of his alliance with the Neo-NRF terrorists]] -- he wants to [[spoiler:reduce Angel Vale's Draconic population to living like animals so he could lord over them as the only smartest Dragon in the area.]]
** This bites him hard in the tail in the confrontation with him. As Aerri correctly deduces, and exploits, Ornatum couldn't just spring the trap as soon as they entered his kill box without seeing Aerri, directly or indirectly, realize he'd outsmarted her or proven her better. Aerri instead [[IShallTauntYou taunts him about that fact]] and his rebranding and exploiting others' creations and claiming they were his to keep him busy while the group's counter plan is put into motion.
* FatalFlaw: Ornatum's biggest flaws all stem from his pride. His fragile ego means he took Aerri being smarter than him as a personal slight and sought to ruin her life utterly. His entire reason for [[spoiler:helping the Neo-NRF]] was to take revenge on her and Meleti after his position was lost due to his own actions, which he blames them for. This is ultimately his undoing, as his need to prove he's better than Aerri is a major reason his plans ultimately fail.

* ItsPersonal: Aerri and Meleti despises Ornatum and vice-versa, the former for Ornatum ruining Aerri's life and work out of envy and the latter for the two upstaging and replacing him respectively.

* {{Jerkass}}: The sheer pettiness he showed to Aerri out of envy must be seen to be believed. This persists even after he was forced to resign, adding Meleti to his emnity list.

** After Aerri help saved Angel Vale from Razorbill and the supervolcano and national attention was drawn to Cherub Cove due to the Zebrican Gate, Ornatum's misdeeds against Aerri and in general was exposed and he was forced to resign.
** His decision to [[spoiler:turn traitor and help the Neo-NRF terrorists stage a reactionary revolution in Angel Vale]] backfires massively, as despite his intelligence and cunning, his arrogance makes him miss many factors that ultimately became his [[spoiler:and his backers']] undoing, like [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 Gerald and his grandkids Gen and Glenn]], the Research Trio, the Pillars, and any members of the Angel's Six who got trapped in the museum [[spoiler:during the Neo-NRF terrorists' hostile takeover]]. He also fails to account for the possibility that Aerri might be smart enough to team up with all the aforementioned individuals to take him down, which also becomes his undoing. Even his last plan to spite his enemies [[spoiler:by sabotaging the controls to lift the lockdown and thus deny them the satisfaction of defeating him]] is foiled, leaving him to rage impotently as he is arrested and dragged away by Schurke.

* MechaMooks: Ornatum was responsible for providing [[spoiler:the Neo-NRF with these during their mueseum operation by subverting the place's cutting-edge security system and reprogramming its army of security automatons]]. During his confrontation with [[spoiler:Aerri's group he went to battle backed by several high-end military automatons, forcing the others to fight them off and leaving only Aerri and Jade Shell facing him personally for much of the fight]]
* TheMole: [[spoiler:He was the mole Herrlich and his Neo-NRF terrorist group in their Cherub Cove Technology Mueseum and Tech-Fair operation, using his former status as the previous Minister of Science to access the central security system and help lock it down, then acted as MissionControl for them]].
* MotiveRant: After being outsmarted and upstaged by Aerri's group one time too many, he finally snaps when Aerri and Jade Shell distract him by combining their powers to create a huge steam cloud, causing him to go on a huge rant about his desire to upstage Aerri as the smartest Dragon on Angel Vale -- even extracting her brain and using it as his own -- while shooting through the cloud wildly and [[BadBoss hitting his own hench-drakes]]. It's what causes Aerri to deem him too pathetic to kill.

* MurderByInaction: While the murder of Limette's husband was his doing as he hired a hitdrake to kill him, he was indirectly responsible for Limette's death as one of his corrupt cohorts, the Minister of Medicine, blocked her from any medicine or treatments that would have helped cure her illness, and let nature run its course.
* {{Narcissist}}: Ornatum has all the symptoms of narcissism: his driving motivation is the need to be the smartest dragon in Angel Vale and absolute refusal to accept that he's not. He's so self-absorbed that he'd rather [[spoiler:help terrorists take over Angel Vale]] just to satisfy his ego. He can't stand others not seeing him as the smartest to the point Aerri being smarter than him is viewed as a personal slight. He can't accept that he was booted from his position because of his own transgressions, instead blaming Aerri and his successor for it. He's so fixated on keeping his position that a large part of his plan is to set up a version of Angel Vale where he's the smartest by default. He also tends to fly into a rage when his ego is bruised in any way. Aerri exploits this by deducing he couldn't kill her without trying to make her accept he'd outsmarted her and proved her better first.

* OhCrap: He freaks out [[spoiler:and rants to Herrlich when he overheard Tere's group managing to contact the outside world, realising not only the authorities of Angel Vale know what they're up to, but also WHO had been responsible for the whole situation -- including his own presence and role in it -- as it means he's now [[TheMostWanted a wanted criminal]] who can never get back his post or salvage his tanked reputation]].

* PoweredArmor: [[spoiler:His trump-card is a suit of heavily-armed powered armor which he wears and uses during his fight with Aerri's group. As Aerri points out, it was just a suit of prototype military armor he plagiarized and tried to call his own]].
* ProperlyParanoid: [[spoiler:One scene in Codex Quest(s) where he's helping the Neo-NRF revealed that he is aware that Aerri has a chance of reaching him, and had made preparations for a fight in the central security control room he and his lackeys are in just in case with one of his own projects]].

* SurroundedByIdiots: Feels this way regarding others due to his own intelligence and looks down on others for not measuring up to his own intellect and achievements. [[spoiler:He's very condescending to Herrlich and his troops even when he is working with him to execute Herrlich's operation at the Cherub Cove Technology Mueseum and Tech-Fair]].

* {{Hypocrite}}: He claims to be letting nature run its course by denying medication to 'the weak', yet abuses strength-enhancing steroids to increase his strength well beyond what's natural. When confronted postmortem by Reapers like Fret Pick and Askar, and the huge number of victims who died from his malpractice, he turns into a sniveling coward, revealing that for all his darwinistic beliefs, he was ultimately just in it for the money.

* AdaptationalKarma: Emera didn't get any real retribution for her behavior towards Remy. Rajin, however, ends up being forced to treat him better or else her actions would be exposed to the world and Rongoa actually has enough of a reputation to prove it, something she decidedly doesn't want. While she isn't given direct retribution, it's ''solely'' because Rongoa chose to show her mercy, and she lives the rest of her time as his boss in fear of him actually taking revenge (which he has zero interest in due to his pacifist beiefs). After she leaves office, her actions ''are'' exposed, but Rongoa specifically goes out of his way to make sure both her positive and negative actions are revealed in equal measure.

* AdaptationalVillainy: In addition to his horrible treatment of Anna in canon, he also sexually coerced Aerri, Anna's {{Expy}}, into being his girlfriend, which is treated as rape as he exploited her fear and desperation to cure her cancer. This means that Aerri was essentially his SexSlave. This was only inferred in canon. He also ends up forming a VillainTeamUp with Honeyguide to become the BigBadDuumvirate of the Angel Vale Retcons event.

* BigBadDuumvirate: He forms a VillainTeamUp with Honeyguide, becoming one of the main antagonists of the Angel Vale Retcons.
* DraggedOffToHell: [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/904477912/5002205860 As realized by Rongoa]] on the day of his trial, this is the fate he would receive should he die, as Aerri is the adoptive niece of Moon Ray Vaughoof, a Death god who is friends with another rape victim and thus won't take kindly to learning what he did to Aerri. Though Moon Ray has stated it doesn't have to be specifically him to do the deed.
* LaserGuidedKarma: He blackmailed Aerri into working under him in return for giving her research funds, and essentially tried turning her into his SexSlave. Aerri later turned the tables and made ''him'' his lab assistant, with full reign over his lab and unlimited access to his resources. Then after Razorbill's defeat and death, Aerri gives him back his lab, and soon enough, without her help, he's [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/904477912/5002205860 busted for his incompetence and arrested for the crimes he committed against Aerri]]. When Rongoa brings up the definite possibility that he'll be DraggedOffToHell due to Aerri's adoptive uncle being a Death god, no one is really surprised by that fact, showing how despicable he is as a Dragon.

The Triceratop keepers of Mental Bastion, one of the oldest libraries/bookstores of Angel Vale. While big and tough, all of them are very nice Dracosaurs who are friendly and protective of those less powerful than themselves. Featured prominently in the "Codex Quest(s)" stories.

* AntagonisticOffspring: None of them like their mother Rajin very much, which is understandable considering Rajin's character.
* BadassBookworm: All three of them are librarians/bookkeepers, and all of them can hit their opponents with the force of freight trains with their natural strength, horns and magnetism powers.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Unlike Cold Snap and Rebar, Wire Cutter doesn't go down in a protracted fight, but is taken off guard thanks to Mirthful's quick thinking and some ExploitedImmunity.

* LoonyFan: Obsessed with Sapnnung to the point kf stalking her and accosting her at the convention.

* VillainousBreakdown: Has one as the Angel Six [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/909949548/5075119117 break free of the ancient artifact she used to try and rewrite their memories]]. [[https://www.deviantart.com/comments/1/909949548/5075124689 And then to make things worse]], she was forced to endure a book, paper and ambassador-themed HurricaneOfPuns from vindictive members of Angel Vale and Ashfall as she is being arrested which drove her to such apoplectic narcissistic rage she started frothing in the mouth and then passed out from sheer anger.

* TheRemnant: They're the last of the gangs that plagued Ashfall before Angel Vale emerged.
