** Actually, that seems rather wildly inaccurate. Sure, Tavi spends most of his time working directly for the First Lord, or commanding a Legion, [[spoiler:or being the Princeps/First Lord...]], but even in book four, [[spoiler:when he is fully cognizant of the fact that he's the Princeps, he actually commits treason by breaking into the Grey Tower.]] Sure, he talks his way out of it with clever use of the law, but let's face it, 'lawful' is not actually the best description of Tavi. [[spoiler:And then he keeps someone guilty of more treason charges than you can count--Fidelias--on as his personal advisor and the freaking trainer of future Cursor's. AND a Cane.]] Just because Tavi functionally ''is'' the law for the greater part of his life doesn't mean for an instant that he's lawful by any normal definition.
