** Vocally, the author can't truly figure out whether he'd use his own natural voice, use a voice doing a Creator/FrankWelker [[Franchise/{{Transformers}} Megatron]] impersonation, or a mix of both in which under most circumstances he uses his normal voice, only to sometimes slip into said Megatron impersonation during enraged moments.

!! Mass Produced Grandis Clones

During TheSixties and TheSeventies, Grandis was repeatedly cloned in an attempt to extract his immortality from the original specimen who would remain dormant until the 2030s, and the result were numerous clones of the original who had limited access to his abilities, but could not properly utilize his Phase 4 armored namesake. Many of the clones stayed in Phase 1 form, which made them look like skeletal degenerates which gave the impression that they were even weaker than they actually were. All of them could actually live up to the boast as being Grandis, however; due to the original Grandis having a HiveMind mentality when more than one of him exists, the original Grandis was effectively able to control the actions of his clones to a certain extent depending on how much of a free will the clones had. One particular clone actually had so much free will that he had become an entirely separate individual under a different name, and became so powerful that he effectively acquired his own Phase 4 form in which he dubs himself the "'''Emerald Crusader'''". By the time TheNewTens came to be, only Emerald Crusader and a single remaining normal clone remained, and the original Grandis was still in dormancy; any clone who was not outright confirmed to be deceased was automatically considered missing in action, and the fates of the latter are unclear to this day as a result.

* BarredFromTheAfterlife: [[spoiler:Grandis is aware of this because his soul is eventually forced to go back into the realm of the living when he dies due to the fact he's permanently banished from the afterlife due to his troublesome nature having enraged the rulers of the afterlife, so he's effectively BlessedWithSuck in that he cannot truly stay dead; sure, he's technically a near completely different individual every time he comes back initially, he eventually and gradually has his mind shift back into what is considered normal for Grandis. Even 20 years after the death of one body in ''Digimon Re: Tamers'', by the time ''Sword Art Online: Special Edition'' takes place, he has yet to fully recover his own true identity within his newer body.]]

Added DiffLines:

* VocalEvolution: {{Implied}} by virtue of his own son's VocalEvolution in which a puberty-esque change in voice didn't affect Chronicler until his first year after turning 20, in which case he had still sounded rather child-like in tone. Grandis, as well as every other Ultimorian human, don't vocally mature until much later in their lives than when a normal human does so; there simply existed no evidence in the present day until Chronicler displayed this that this was even remotely the case, since Grandis and by extension Dalton were already long past vocally mature.

* TheEndingChangesEverything: [[spoiler:Chapter 16 of ''Digimon Re: Tamers'' ends with Grandis flat out KilledOffForReal; he never gets revived despite what we allegedly see as him being alive in ''Sword Art Online: Special Edition''. The Grandis who appears in the latter was never free roaming just yet; he is still contained just like how Mirror M was in ''Digimon Re: Tamers'' when it took place. The Grandis who appears in ''Digimon Re: Tamers'' and subsequently is killed off is the original version of Grandis from whom was used as a prototype for the version of Grandis who would later appear in ''Sword Art Online: Special Edition''. The Grandis who appears in the fics that follow also constantly has an existential crisis he hides from everyone, because he's otherwise all but convinced he's meant to be the real deal but ultimately isn't. That's not even ''beginning'' to let the implications of Chapter 16's ending into consideration, [[OhCrap considering that with Grandis killed off and thus the]] UnreliableNarrator [[OhCrap with him...]]]]

* DirtyOldMan: {{Defied}}; despite the jokes he sometimes makes regarding this, such as one instance of referring to Ruki's mother as a "[[StacysMom MILF]]", Grandis only has a SingleTargetSexuality towards Kizmel, making any other possible romantic or sexual attractions completely non-existent and is merely Grandis being a goofball.

** Of TheOmniscient as well; Grandis does indeed know everything there is to know, but he does not have any constant need or instinct to know everything at every single moment, so he only uses the bare minimum of his mind for a majority of the time. Due to this, Grandis can appear more dumber on a surface level, and considering Grandis at times lacks a proper common sense and misses a lot of social communication cues, Grandis appears to more or less hide his omniscience underneath HiddenDepths. Not only that, but often times it appears Grandis' omniscience is so immense in nature that it actually causes further hampering on his mental ineptitude, considering for Grandis to recall very specific information, even ones that happen to be within recent memory, he has to organize a gigantic, endless maze of a mind to be able to recall the information he needs at any time. He has omniscience, but he has all of the typical faults of human error when it comes to actually using or dealing with it.
